It was a rare occasion when a fae would saunter into a land like she was the queen of the place to give birth to a filly, yet with every side-swaying, wide stepping step she took, her skull was held high with elegance. It was actually surprising that Candra didn't have the words 'Wide Load' on a sign on her back because this. mare. was. huge. It looked as if the thing would just drop to the ground any moment, but if that happened, she would probably just laugh. Hell, she didn't even know if she was going to take it with her or leave it - she took it just about as seriously as she did its father. But, maybe it could be an asset, one day. Who knew?

Life was just so rewarding, when you truly made the right allies, and the stag beside her was an example of that. Surely, they were turning some heads - causing some pitiful faes to scream and faint as they saw the pair of hellions make their way across the grassy way. The sky even looked disturbingly pink. And the screams ranging from discomfort to joy to sadness to whatever were everywhere. "Shut up!" she yelled, telling everyone that they were giving her a headache.

Better yet were the looks that Medarmeth was getting as he kept walking past the faes. They would either do one of two things: scream and run away or chase after them and try to hurt them, but when they noticed they were hellion option one was always the 'right' alternative. [color:9bf6=;ightblue]"So what do you think? Fun huh?" she said, knowing that her description of fun was loosely described as striking terror into any and all victims and causing trouble in any way possible. Ah, wouldn't father be proud? But things were coming to a close oh so soon, and soon she would have to have the wretched little beast. Worst thing was, she had no idea what to name him. What if she named him something stupid? Oh, well. She would just say that she named him the same way his father acted.

"Medarmeth," she said. "Why can't all stags be like you? Trainwreck is so boring. All he did was drool over some slave," she questioned, stopping in a small portion of grassy area that she had chosen in the lower half of the 'new life' place. That's what they called it. But, back to the topic. She could hardly believe what had just come from her lips. Candra now knew that she truly was truly an embarrassment. She looked to him with glimmering, cool blue eyes grinning easily.

Medarmeth

The small stallion flicked his hooves at a mare as she tried barreling into him, sending her limping painfully back to her young colt, who watched him warily from between his mother's legs. That one would be a fighter one day, he knew, and considered snapping the little grey colt's neck, then and there. Then again, perhaps he would choose to become an adversary of his own kind, much like the weakling Lowe hellions and their allies.

He followed Candra, staying just to one side of her, and his head slightly behind hers as they strode through the sweeping grasses, the giant trees shrouding places where he could just make out a she-wolf in her den, growling softly at them as they invaded the land, infecting each creature they passed with an overwhelming fear.

A black flash moved at the corner of his eye, and he snapped his head around to look. Nothing was there though. Shaking himself mentally, he continued. At Candra's question though, he smiled slightly, just the barest twitch of his mouth. "I haven't been in a place like this since... Since I first met Exile... And Omera." he said, remembering the night like it was yesterday.

He and his two companions had traveled long, and came upon a young unicorn fae, who had just given birth to a hellion colt. The three attempted an attack, wanting to show what happened to half-bloods. They hadn't reckoned on the sheer power of the young mother though, and in a flash of brilliant crystal light, their flames had receded to nothing, replaced with thin coats of cool hair. She had warned them then of the curse she placed on them, before searing pain blotted everything out as marks were burnt into their very flesh, leaving a clear message to others; do not trust them.

When he awoke, a white fire was blazing where the unicorn had stood, and as the red stallion rose, so too, did the flames, forming into Exile...

With a snort, Medarmeth brought himself back to the present, in time to answer Candra's question. "Because, not all stallions have lost all they once knew. Not many have changed from freedom to servitude, and most have never accepted their roles as they come to them." he said simply, before he stopped as something black moved at the edges of his vision again. He didn't say anything though, but kept a look-out, his dark eyes scanning carefully around them. If any were to attack Candra, they would soon learn why, even as a fallen hellion, no one picked a fight with him without regretting it.

A slight smirk came over her features as an ebony fae, much smaller than herself told them that it was forbidden for him to be there. Since when did she follow the ways of light? Never. So with that, the poor, poor thing received a smashed skull. Candra supposed she wouldn't be providing much milk to her child after that; it seemed they were always getting more gutsy, crossing their kind. Initial fear of their kind had ceased to exist...mostly because of the damned traitors that existed within their species. They were the scum under her daggers.

Candra's head snapped over to look at him quickly as he mentioned the wretched mother of the ebony stag. She felt a bit sympathetic for him for what had happened to him, but she would never voice it. It was a rare occasion for a hellion to show their heart through their expression, but there was no way in hell she would speak to him as if she was a disgusting bit of love-struck scum. Instead, she looked to him, as she could tell that his mind was taking him back to the day when it all happened the first time around. They would all be hellions still if it had not been for that horrid fae casting their powers from them. And he, she knew would be the most great of them all.

She put her muzzle to his shoulder as they stopped for a moment, looking at him. "Don't think about it. It matters not," she said, and then continued her pace to wherever they were actually going. As they walked, they encountered much of the same thing as they had earlier - snarls, whinnies. Whatever creatures did when they were frightened.

When he answered his question, she thought of it very noble of him not to jump straight to the conclusion of it. But what he said was true, he was bound to Exile and to her and he had lost everything. For all she knew, she could be in the very same position as he one day but doubted it...as father's power was far too potent to ever be destroyed by a half-blood called Therthis. Speaking of which, she tasted something in the air....something dirty. Someone was following them...they were being watched.

"No," she said quietly, in a hushed tone. "It is because you are better than them that you are the way you are," she said. "Oh yeah...and we are being followed. I know it," she whispered, leaning her muzzle close to his ear as she spoke.

The red horse took the fae's compliment in silence, but as she continued to the more pressing fact of being followed, he nodded. "Whoever, or whatever it is, has been following us since just after we entered." he agreed, looking at the various places a creature could hide. It would help, he thought, if he knew what he was looking for.

Just then, a dark head popped out from around the nearest tree as Candra spoke, and was soon followed by a distinctly reptilian body as a lanky black filly came out, looking mildly sheepish. She was only about a year old, with silver eyes that had reptilian slits for pupils. Her skin was leathery, with scales running along her spine and covering her muzzle and forehead. A grey mane and tail were the only marks that she was, in fact, a horse, and not some strange new breed of salamander. Small, jet-black wings were held tightly to her sides, the bony structures covered with dark grey scales.

"Hello," she said quietly, bowing a bit. "I'm Véronique-Noémi." she finished, and although her body suggested that she was a young horse that didn't have any idea what she was doing, her voice radiated a calm, confident, and coldly calculating manner, as if she had only chosen to speak with the two because she deemed them worthy of being in her presence. At the sight of her, other new mothers fled, pushing their newborns as fast as they could go, whinnying in anger and fear.

The tall filly held herself regally as she waited for a response, looking at Candra expectantly, although she ignored the small red stallion entirely.

PostSubject: Re: I'll Lead...And You Must Follow(Otho)   I'll Lead...And You Must Follow(Otho) EmptySun Jan 13 2013, 21:16

Hmmm thought the crimson fae as she continued to tread on, wondering who this mysterious follower was. Surely, it could be a great battle if it was one of their foes - Ha, perhaps she could end the life of a poor victim that just so happened to stand in their way. A little blood shed on the day of the birth of her child could surely not be a horrid thing? Good luck to the poor soul that was to be born on the fateful day. "Yes, I actually noticed that," she murmured, peeling her eyes for whoever or whatever was following them. Sneaky little thing..

Just as she had spoke, a slender figure popped from the reeds to face her, bright orbs a'gleaming as she looked hopefully to them - her. It looked nearly like a reptile, with a lank bodice and a scaly pelt unlike the one she possessed. Like a serpent were her orbs, deceitful and sneaky slits within them that said just enough of her personality. Even at her age, it had taken them far too long to detect her...and certainly, they could use this to an advantage. For..it was quite more useful to obtain talent than to have talent used against them in a negative fashion. It was always best to make the first move, for no one expected it.

"Greetings," she said quietly, calculating what her next move would be and what, exactly she could use this filly for. Obviously, the child would need training to be the best spy and sneak that she could be, but at the top of her game...oh yes, she would be excellence. What the epitome of perfection was this child, a pure hellion who could move with the shadows. Ah, her enemies would fear her.

Candra pondered the child momentarily and then remembered where she had heard the name. "I know of your bloodline, child," she said, nodding and smiling. "Ah, yes. Your mother served Corus..." she said, glad that she had another of the lines to serve her. Yes, that was what was meant to happen - servants...slaves...and spies. How excellent.

The filly accepted the red fae's greetings without a word, although at the mention of her bloodlines she snorted derisively, pawing at the ground slightly in amusement. "My mother is a pathetic scrap of existence. As was Corus." she said decidedly, before cocking her head slightly, as if contemplating what next to say. A small, dark aura seemed to surround her, radiating intense heat as she did so, before it disappeared. Her flames were getting harder to manage, she thought in annoyance. Of course, it used to be that she didn't have any, so perhaps she was too quick to judge the flames.

She shook her head slightly, still trying to decide what to make of the two companions, the small red servant, and the tri-colored princess. While she did so, Medarmeth took a step towards her, curiosity getting the better of him for once.

The filly's head jerked upright, her reptilian pupils widening, and then she vanished in a blast of warmth.

The red horse looked at where she had been, surprise etched plainly on his features. "I've never seen anything like her..." He muttered, more to himself than to Candra. "I do believe she has invisible flames... Definitely a powerful hellion, although she seems to lack control..." He trailed off, musing on her strange behavior, and also wondering in passing whether or not he was about to be berated for his actions. He doubted it; Candra had less of a quick temper than her mother, but it was still entirely possible, and - thought he with an inward grimace - he probably deserved a chewing out. Young ones were easily startled no matter what; it would have been odd for her not to have reacted in some such manner.

PostSubject: Re: I'll Lead...And You Must Follow(Otho)   I'll Lead...And You Must Follow(Otho) EmptyWed Jan 16 2013, 21:09

What was before her was simply as intriguing as it was odd and slightly out-of-place - why, the child itself was out of place. And certainly she was not addressed in the manner that she normally was, but little of this actually mattered at the moment. What was most concerning was why, of course this child had not joined the ranks of spies at an time to her earlier satisfaction. Independent of blood ties and obviously bound to the princess of flames, this addition might turn out to be stealthy and more than likely...deadly. A trickle of a smirk came upon her lips as she imagined all the things that the filly could do for her. But, it was not wise to get ahead of oneself - though the child had a natural spark for hunting did not mean that she was by any means ready to carry out Candra's next endeavor.

As the child vanished, she shot the red stag beside her a glare of disapproval, ivories gritting together. "I had been just ready to assign her to stalk the two betrayers ," she said, pausing slightly after she re-composed herself. "But that shall wait for another day," she said, moving with him as he sauntered through the terrain. It seemed as if the commoners were done conversing with them after the odd filly had appeared before them. Well, we won't have any problem with them anymore thought Candra with a snicker as she continued on.

"She is flighty," murmured the hellion princess, her tongue slightly sharp with her companion as she continued without a word. Pains started to throb in her sides, nearly paralyzing her breathing signaling that the parasite that had hindered her movement and her attacks. Soon, she would be rid of it, and perhaps, it would simply escort itself to her grandmother's side - someone would point it in the right direction. Ah, yes, it's gender. Certainly, she didn't know what it would be and neither did he, but they would soon see if it was a prince or a princess like her...except not as great. "Definitely a powerful hellion though," she said, nodding, her tone less angry.
