The soft, wet grasses around the river faded to firm soil and tall fields. The fields gave way to hills and gullies, and finally, the grass began to thin, blending with red and tan sands, shifting under the weight of the monster that was going home. Home, he thought, his head high. The entire journey here had been painful, accompanied by a nonstop talker he had picked up at the river and had happened to follow him home. Trainwreck could have sent her away, could have killed her, injured her, anything but allow to come here. But he didn't.
Feeling warmth in his cold heart when he had met Lilus had softened him, and he hated it. It almost made him want to hate his Lilus, but he could never. Just the simple thought of her made his heart stop a beat.
The stag shook his head, ridding himself of the thoughts as he wallowed in the glory of his sand kingdom. The heat was his favorite, and he was used to it. Narira, on the other hand, might have a rough time acclimating to the difference.
He stopped and looked back to her, having distanced himself so he could only partially hear her annoying rambling. Candra would have a field day with this one. Perhaps, he thought, I should protect her from any abuse. I want Lilus to have a friend that is not a senseless slave.
"Welcome to Hell on Earth," he said, raising his head with pride, pawing the sand with a front hoof, feeling the spray of the grains against his back legs and loving every second of it and the sun beating down on his black and white body. This was not hell for him, it was indeed his heaven.

Their constant pace was quick, due to his long stride needing two of hers to maintain the even stride. But even then, he always seemed to be moving faster to try and get away from her.
But the sweet fae would never of noticed, to busy chatting and sharing her knowledge of absolutly random and mostly pointless facts.
"Did you know..." she started but fell to silence as her eyes widened, landing on the wide open plains of his lands and shivered softly in the warm sun with delight.
"You live here?" she asked brightly "It's so beautiful! Oh look at this sand...it's so soft! This is nothing like Hell...well at least I can't be sure because I have never been there....but I'm sure it is nothing like this!"
She giggled, pawing too at the sands with delight as it sprayed over her.
"Oh! Please show me around," she said, seeming to bounce in place.
