Erosaf sighed as she glided down into one of the many glades of their wondrous home. She called to Amani though, hoping that he would come to her and soon. She settling on her side, snorting, knowing the foal was coming. Their newest addition to the herd.
Finally Spyro would have a sister. She smiled, starting to push. It hurt this time, a lot. And she knew that she would hurt a lot more before this was over. Slowly a finely built fae appeared, a dark bloody liver chestnut with almost a golden mane and tail of flames. A strange star outline was on her forehead.
"Cynder..." she murmured weakly.

Burning creased his throat, closing up on him as his imagination ran wild with thoughts of the crimson liquid pouring upon his tongue. Fangs shone in his mouth as he felt a bead of sweat on his forehead, for he knew there was new blood. As he saw where it came from, the blood-lust died slowly and was replaced with love and adoration. The both of them were close to the center of his dead heart, part of him that would never die even if they did. And eventually they would, if he could bare to see her die before him.

Nostrils flared as he came to the scene, the blood everywhere appealing to him, making him yearn for it...so he kept his distance until the small filly emerged. "Hello, my love," he whispered. Amani smiled, nuzzling her shoulder softly as he came to her.

Cynder shivered as she looked up at the big creature that came over to them. She didn’t know much, but who was he? She looked at her mother.
“Cynder… this is your father, Amani,” Erosaf managed, weakly. Her vision was fading and that was not something eh had expected now.
SHe looked up at Amani, frightened.

Something was wrong, it had to be. Perhaps, it was the rasping of her vocals or the twitching of her pillars in an odd fashion that hinted to him that his true love would die if he did not save her. Obviously, he could have been wrong, but who would take that chance. Soon, if it was not today, he would have to come to the decision whether he would change his ebony love for his own selfishness or let her die the honorable death she deserved and live in the heavens. No creature deserved to be damned to live on earth for all eternity, and he rued the day that the vampire bastard Ganymede had dared to change him.

"Erosaf...are you okay?" he asked, massive skull craning down to observe her blood flow. He quietly, touched his nose to Cynder lovingly, acknowledging that he knew she was there and his daughter. Amani would have been more interested in this moment overall if his mate was not in dire need of help. She looked as if she might faint upon the ground and that he may not see her again.

He frantically collapsed to the ground beside her, breathing heavily against the thick smell of blood. "Tell me what is wrong," he said in a demanding tone. The last thing he wanted was to lose her.

``I`m scared, Amani...`` she murmured, looking up at him with frightened red eyes. She did not want want to die. ``I.... I...`` She shuddered where she lay. She could not bring herself to say the words that she knew were truth by now. She could not survive this. ``Please help...`` She couldn`t say the one thing that she needed too, she was too terrified right now. Surely he would get the message at least.

Cynder watched in fright. What was going on? She did not understand.

Those brawny youthful pillars that he had once traveled within seas with...across perilous , flaming deserts with, just to see his one true love quaked with fear of the unknown. A quiver attached itself to him, all the once living muscles in him shaking with anxiety. Dark golden orbs craved the crimson that poured from her like waves upon the sea, like honey from a hive of angry bees, and he would engulf it, his tongue savoring the taste. And what if he savored it a little too much? Was he truly the monster that the spotted stag of Eleazar was? A snarl ripped through the silent, hot air as frustration welled within him.

Silver flames raged out of the control, the air around them tainted with smoke and fumes as sun hued flames spread around them. Hate for all of his kind seared through him like the pain of a limb being ripped from one's own bodice in battle.

"Gods roast me for all eternity," he rasped, throat burning from the scent that surrounded him. Blood. For, it was not food that called to him and sated his appetite, but it was the blood. This disease had spread to his entirety, hindering him of the heart he had once upon a time. The one that would have let her die the way she deserved to, but his foolishness and goodness had gone in opposite directions. Where he lacked good nature now, foolishness had grown in, vines twisting around his throat so he couldn't breathe. Not without the burning of a thousand fires.

Growling, he murmured something incoherent and bent down to her sides. The venom on his fangs flowed into his mouth, sweet in texture in flavor. Amani sunk them in, tasting the blood, but could he stop? Would he stop? It tasted so delicious, like the forbidden fruit that lingered at the trees of Eden. More flowed into his mouth. He was a monster. He could not stop. Stop screamed his mind. Stop, stop, stop it pleaded. Until he noticed the queen of the terrain standing in the shadows and brought his skull to the level of hers.

"Yes, queen Julianna?" he asked, massive maw covered in crimson blood as his mate twitched from the transformation. "Is there a problem. Good," he answered for her. "Then leave because this is our business," he hissed, turning his attention back to Erosaf.

Erosaf neighed in fright when she grew weaker from that bite. Her eyes closed, as the fight within her own body started. The fight of a unicorn`s blood against that of a vampire. It was a dangerous mix and she knew it. But she did not want to die at all.

Cynder blinked at what her father did, so frightened, that she managed to jump to her feet and stepped backwards. Only to fall into the creek, unnoticed by the adults. She struggled. ``Help!``

Massive muscles ripples, twitched as his bodice met her spasm with his. His mind raced, so that it was a jumbled mess - tinkering between life and death, wondering the power of the bite of a vampire. Well, it had saved his psychotic ass once, and sure it would save her life. Fangs seeped venom now, running down his ebony pillars and to his creamy-grey daggers that stood upon the trembling earth. She hated him, as his poison seeped into her pores yet there was nothing that the mother could do to rid him of her presence was there? Now that he was what he was, he was invincible to the gods. He was just as they were! Oh, how they must loathe that. And that he had the power to condemn anyone he wanted of immortality.

Reality snapped back into view for a moment though, as he his thirst was squelched by the screams of his youthful child. Immediately, his boa snapped in her direction, cold orbs focused on the prey. The child, with the blood flowing through her veins as she struggled with each breath. For was the life, the silken life in the form of warm milk gone? Was her birth only in vain? Petty child.

Still, his mind lingered in the abyss as the vampirism of his mate melted into his own. What a powerful force they were, for he was so lost in thought that he could not even hear the drowning of his daughter. Nor did he care to. In the world that he lived in, nothing could kill them, and nothing could be killed. As he heard the plodding of small daggers over to help the weak creature, his grip on the unreal shattered and he came forth. Amani nudged his daughter to safety, returning his gaze to the one that had helped her - Julianna. "I thought I told you to stay.out.of.this," he snapped.

"Shut up and go back to where you came from. This is none of your business," he said, running after the queen with his muscles and mind racing until he had her pinned against a tree. "Stay in your place," he murmured, desire for the hunt in his orbs as he stared the mere mortal down. He could smell that she, someday would be joining them in the ranks of immortals. And she would lust blood the most.

Cynder was completely terrified. Though she was glad that someone at least had helped her, even if it had not been her father, and that was certainly a shame. She stayed well away from her father though and the river as she wandered away.

Before a shadow fell over some of them. Spyro had heard her cries, but he had followed Amani. He landed near Amani and Juliana. ``Father! Stop!`` he glared at him. ``You should be ashamed of yourself!``

Great tendrils of flames draped over his bodice as his wonderful fae lay motionless in a pit of fire. Perhaps, her soul was roasting just as his did with the change - twisting the very core of his strands of deoxyribonucleic acid. Petty was the life that they all shared, and hers was draining with every moment. With every shard of soul that dissolved with her, a bit dissolved from him. Why did anyone deserve to live, now? It seemed that the only humanity that Amani had left in him was in the living soul of Erosaf, now being dissolved into something more sinister. Something that most dreamed about only in nightmares and screamed at the name of it. Vampire.

"You, again!!" he hissed, galloping up to his son. Perhaps, he had abandoned this one with good reason, for his meddling in affairs that were not his own were profound. Even Amani, the keeper of this corner of the forest, did not touch the lives of the royals. He did not get involved and stick his nose somewhere where it may be chopped off. But this time - this time they had all pushed him too far.

In a frenzy of daggers and ivories, he sank his ivories into the nape of Julianna. As she fell to the ground quaking, he began to laugh hysterically. Going up to Spyro, he hissed in his face, venom spewing everywhere as he threatened the colt. What a mere colt he was...not even a real stag yet, but he screamed of nothingness.

"I wish you would die, you Cretin. But I will not grant you the same respect I do to your mother," he whispered in his son's ear.

``Amani!`` Thowra stepped out of the trees. The cream and silver stallions teeth were bared, fury in every line of his body. Ever since Ganymede had bitten him, he had been careful when it came to those in his lands, but for his gamma to bite his mate, well, that pushed him too far. ``How. Dare. You!`` He stopped beside Juliana, glaring at him. ``You know you were not allowed to hurt those of my herd, as I would never have hurt those in yours.``
He paused to nuzzle her cheek, worried. Before turning his blue brown eyes on Amani in a fury once more. This was going too far. ``What has gotten into you, old friend? She only wanted to help your daughter when you were completely ignoring her. Cynder could have drowned. Do you even realize that? And this is how you repay Juliana?``

Spyro glared at his father, not moving in the slightest. ``What has gotten into you, father? This is not like you.`` He stood his ground. ``Call me what you want, you will never be free of who I am, who you are to me.``

Long curls of beauteous tassels ripped into flames, engulfing the two as the older vampire of the two stepped up closer. Massive pan-like daggers sank into the mud as his ebony bodice glared like night eyes upon the creamy. Like the moon and sun, they would fight until blood poured from the soul of one and one laid upon the ground, broken and dead and shattered. Strong pillars of night closed the distance between them in one step, hungry orbs focused on the lightly breathing chestnut form. Surely, the creamy of all creatures must have known about the hunger.

"Young blood. You should not pick a battle with an elder vampire to you," he laughed, snarling as he did so. "Look at my dear Erosaf...almost killed by birthing. And yours is...heavily pregnant," he laughed. "Imagine what the child will be like?" he asked, eyes crimson from feeding off of both of the mares. What scum he was before, some that could not even defend their livelihoods and families. As to him, and others of his kind, Thowra was a child, having been a vampire for fifteen years less than he. Age made little difference but in power. Obviously, the spotted vampire king could easily trounce them like a paper bag if he so desired, but his foes were greater than the simple creature.

Amani shook his skull, clearly infuriated. "Cynder is the only one I care about. She is my erfgenaam, my heir" he said, looking down to the young filly. "You are not worthy," he added, turning his broad skull calmly to his son. It was easy to see that she possessed a fire about her that his son would never have. Quietly, in the shadows, a creamy lurked, violet orbs on the situation. Clearly, she had chosen a bad time to visit home. Almost a year had passed since she had left her safe haven...yet, was it truly safe anymore.

"I can smell your blood, Maura," Amani whispered, taking a massive step in her direction. A dainty form raced to join her father quietly, like the wind. It was the first daughter of Julianna and Thowra that had finally arrived, and her light purple orbs were as concerned as they were fearful. "What...is going on here, father?" she asked, knowing that she was always her mother's favorite. "And...mother!" she exclaimed, racing to her side with a gentle nuzzle to her face. Anger struck her expression. What right had he to do such things to mother? It was all so wrong! Oh, how he would burn in hell, sooner than she had imagined.

Amani strode up to Thowra easily. "She would have died in the battle. I could sense her weakness..." he murmured, expressionless.

Thowra stomped one hoof as Amani came closer to him. He certainly was not afraid of the other horse at all. “Spyro has done many good things since he was born, Amani. You may not have been the father in his life, but I helped Erosaf with him, because I had the feeling you would have at least wanted your son to be safe while you were unable to defend them.”

The cream stallion, king of the land in which they stood, and never to leave that land either, gazed at the black stallion before him, pondering what to do. “You may remain on as Gamma in Snowy River Forest, but if you ever dare to do something like this again, you will be told to get out. This land is meant to be a safe place for those who come here.”

Thowra turned his head, nuzzling Maura’s wither. “She will recover my dear, and there are some things you and I need to talk about as well.” There was a soft and gentle tone that he chose to use when talking to his only remaining child. With Kairva gone, one thing certainly fell to her.

Then he looked at Amani. “Even if Cynder is your heir... where has she wandered off to? I hope she has not fallen in the river again, since you seem so inclined to hurt any of my herd who help her. Keep a close eye on her, else she may get hurt, I won’t risk anyone else getting hurt trying to help her. You should have been thankful that someone else did.”

Mangled forms filled the beaches in his mind, as he remembered all those that he had slaughtered. Survival he thought, in hopes to redeem himself in his own mind and make excuses for those things that he had once done. If all they did was pondered the ways of the world and took no action, the world would only be for their kind - the ones that live forever. No rules were they to bide by, and no conscious did they need keep of the atrocities they inflicted on mortals.

"You are wrong...Thowra," he murmured, orbs flicking back and forth to where he could smell the small filly and to him, where he concentrated the least of his thoughts. It wasn't worth his time to engage in affairs of life and death since it no longer affected him. "My son has done horrid things, and I know..because I can see it in his eyes," he said, smiling to his son. The dark side in the colt was obvious to him, like a black sheep in a white herd. Whilst his daughter...she had a certain light about her that seemed to shine through the darkest of nights. Perhaps, it was her that kept him from becoming completely batty while his dear love was suffering in the thicket.

Quietly, he sauntered over to his daughter, looking her keenly in the eye. "Time to come back to where mother is, my dear," he said softly to her, touching his ice cold muzzle to her tiny warm one. With a smile, he knew that she was half of him, half immortal. At the age of four, she would mature into the immortal she was destined to be. She would live, forevermore.

-

Pearly and gentle were her features as she stood with solemn expression overlooking the terrain. It linked with them all, as they traveled as swift as the wind and and as quiet as the night. Crystal were her orbs, fixed on the situation before as she took it in with calm, easy breaths. Everything she held dear - her mother and her life and her home figuratively burning before her as she just stood there. Motionless.

"What is it that you must speak to me of?" she questioned, big beautiful eyes glistening up to him. What could he need to speak of in a time like this, did he not know that now was a time to mourn. Still, he told her that it would turn out alright in the end...and she trusted him.

Stepping away from the scene, she faced him easily. "What's wrong with her?" she asked, wanting to know the truth.

Spyro look to the sky with a disgusted snort. What things were those?

**

Thowra shook his head and walked away with his daughter. He sighed though as he stopped a little way away from the others with her. “There is one matter that would have to fall to you, since your older brother, Kairva died. And your mother is becoming like me, and liek Amani, though I hope more my way than his. An immortal.”

**

Cynder looked up at her father as he came, and slowly followed him back, staying well away from the river. She certainly did not like it much at all. Icky wet horrid thing. She was certainly afraid of it now.
