Jeu De'Sprea

The black mare sighed as she entered the land of lovers. War was starting again, and soon enough, she knew, there would be a call to battle. Unfortunately, she sensed that this time, the forces with whom she sided with would find themselves nearly wiped out. The many evils of the lands had come, and were gaining in strength and numbers daily. Meanwhile, her own side was picking itself up and trying to regroup after the last great clash of strengths.

The black fae herself had fought but sparingly, for her strength lay not in that field. Instead she had spent her time in spying and carrying messages, as well as some time training her daughter in the art of deception that was a talent in their family.

No, she was not a fighter. She left that role to her grandson, Honore-Aurore. He had inherited his father's skill in that area, as well as his grandsire's. Fortunately, young Honore had no love for his sire's ilk, thanks to his time spent in the gully.

The black mare looked around herself, smiling slightly at the trees growing in the corner of the glade. She knew well enough how those apple trees came into existence. Another bit of magic done by Therthis, before Exile's coming.

Jeu De'Sprea shook her head a bit, wincing slightly as some of her old scars flared up briefly on her neck, where her sire, and later, her enemies had hurt her. She was glad for the pain at the moment though; it reminded her that she wasn't in the Glade to think about the past and what the future might hold, but to secure a part of that future for the ones whom she served and had allied herself with.

Too long had it been, she knew, since a new foal of her blood had walked the earth.

The most evil of demons had caught the scent of the fae in the land of love. He snarled as he thought about going to her and causing her to bare his foal. For his queen had not yet asked him, and this was something that was starting to be something of an annoyance for him. Smirking to himself there was a flash of light and he was before her.

Jeu De'Sprea.

She was certainly worth the time to have this foal inside her. He smirked as he moved until he was behind her, dealing with what was needed at this moment. "Send the foal to me, or you will find things will get very insufferable for you, Jeu De'Sprea." He laughed shortly. "Satan."

Jeu De'Sprea

She hissed at him, red eyes flashing. "Don't presume, Satan. It was the reason behind many hellions' deaths in this land." she smiled a bit though, knowing full well that he had his own hidden reasons for forcing her. "Since you have said it though, I'm inclined to ask why I should send the foal to you. Don't tell me truthfully, and I'll know. Don't answer me at all, and you can be assured that you'll never meet with the foal."

The black mare wasn't particularly worried about what he would do to her if she riled him up at this point. She'd find out what he was after one way or another, and from his expression and tone, he likely wouldn't harm her too much till after their foal was born.

"I like to be able to have some part in their upbringing, namely when it comes to their training. I am the leader of all the hellions, even Frenzy is nothing to me but a useless ally, Jeu De'Sprea." He snarled at her. "I will not harm the foal, but I believe there will be certain talents that will be inherited from me, such as being able to control Lava, and read minds. I purely want to help the foal learn to comtrol those abilities... no training can be devastating."

That was something he was more than aware of. Though the words about the no training were lies, to her they would be truth, for they were aimed at those of the light, so in a way it was a truthful statement itself. He never lied in a way that was not easily read as the truth. "Try and keep the foal from me and I will hunt you down, not to mention kill it and then you."

Jeu De'Sprea

Bloody politicians, making things more complicated than they need to be, she thought as she sensed the various meanings that could be hidden behind his ideas of training. "Oh I'm so worried," she said, sarcasm dripping from her tongue. "You are not my leader, nor my daughter's, nor my grandson's. Other hellions do not answer your call, so you are leader only of those who choose to follow, unless I am very much mistaken."

"I won't try to keep the young one from you, when he, or she, is grown enough to decide for himself. As for the training itself, should the foal choose to go to you, I'll be coming as well, to make sure you don't destroy my own handiwork in the process of your version of training."

He laughed shortly. "I believe you are going nowhere else but my land, Jea De'Sprea. After all, stallions are allowed to claim mares who come here alone." This he knew was the laws of this place. A law which horses like him were very happy to have.

"You will come with me to Still Waters, else you might find me very displeased with me. You would not want that to happen, young one." He knew that anything that happened that was bad between him and another could be very dangerous for her, he did not get over grudges and things.

He had seen over 500 years of life and that was something that was a dangerous amount of knowledge. "The hellions belong to me. I created you in my kingdom of hell, and my daughter Permisso plans to take over up here."

Jeu De'Sprea

"Don't think I don't know the laws, Satan. You may know many things, but you don't know everything. I've lived in these lands longer than you, at least in recent years."

"And anyways, we don't answer to you." came another voice, much younger than the fae's, as a black hellion, who looked much like Jeu De'Sprea, dropped down from the sky. "Hellions were created in hell, but many of us have been recreated here."

"And I, at least, am well enough versed in the laws that define this land to know that not bringing at least one who answers to me isn't a wise decision. Meet my grandson, Honore-Aurore. He agreed to act as my companion, since he has his own mission near here." she smirked at him a bit, though she knew full well that she was testing him, and he could very well snap.

"You're a fool to think that I would ever come alone. I am not the warrior of the family, nor do I pretend to take that title from my daughter's heir. Also, thank you for telling me about your daughter's plan, though I'd already guessed it. I like having my hunches confirmed by one of those in on the details."

With a laugh, and a twitch of her tail, Jeu De'Sprea turned and shot away, a quick query sent towards her young descendant, before she left the glade.

Honore-Aurore

"And that would have been my dear granddam for you. Also, since you admit to having created her, I blame you entirely for the insanity she gave my mother, which causes her to seek the worst possible places to be, at the worst possible times... And for my own craziness which causes me to actually let them do what they want to." he said, shaking his head after the older hellion was gone.

"Just so you know, Jeu De'Sprea doesn't like being told that she has to go somewhere... Unless Armada's the one doing the telling. You'd have better luck with my mother, as far as that goes. At a guess though, she'll show up wherever sooner or later... Probably after she's relatively certain that her new foal is as useless to you as is possible."
