Spice sighed as she trotted into the land in which she knew her father roamed. It was about time he knew what she had found. For several years they had wondered what had become of her mother, Honey, as she was Midnight Sun's queen. "Father?" she called. Oh where was he when she wanted him. She had news for him and it was not pleasent.

She had had to travel a fair distance to find what had become of Honey. And it was grim. She had not been able to leave where her mother had been killed for some time, but now it was time she came home to tell what she knew to the one other horse who would want to know.
