Long had it been since she had come to call Alaknanda River her home. Her sisters had come and gone, easily finding those worthy of them. One long month had turned to two years of waiting. She knew the name of the one she sought and until he came, she was hidden from the sight of other horses.

Malion.

He was said to be the dead king of all Ashton's half brother, only a lot more appealing than the dead one. This was something that interested her indeed, he was said to be darker in nature, and worthy of her, well she would see when he chose to come to her at last. Was he even still around?

Many believed in love but it was not for her at the moment. There was nothing in that false emotion that even made her interested in knowing it on a more personal level. What point in that falsehood was there truly? None to her, but she would see what came her way. She would never stop thinking of the one she wanted to know more than any other stallion.

She tossed her white head, she was almost a pure white horse. Her mane was red with a white forelock. The only other markings upon her finely chiselled body were two bloody red X scars. One was smaller and sat upon the nearside of her neck. The other was larger and covered a good deal of the nearside of her barrel.

Where the hell was he?

No one really knows me,

Malion entered the lands with a proud toss of his chestnut locks and glared at every creature in sight. He wasn't in the mood for forcing any mares today, and purely, they just annoyed him with their pathetic attempts at flirting.

Actually, the oddly marked stallion had no idea why he was here. Indeed, it was the perfect place to start looking for a herd. Not that he wanted one. Mares were nothing but a pain, nothing better then to be ridden for pleasure and the look of their face's when their beloved child was killed before him.

The half-brother of the passed King was pissed, as one would say. At the news of his brother's death, he felt no joy to learn that it wasn't at his own hand. Only he deserved the taste his blood, to take his last whispered words before he faded into death! Only he!

He screamed with annoyance, back hooves kicking into a tree in anger.

"Only me!" he muttered, continuing on as if nothing had happened "only me."

More horses seemed to appear all the time, a thing that really disgusted her. Who needed the horses who thought love was what was needed to be happy in this world. Give her a few mares to torment, and she would be happy, of course. She smirked as she kicked at another stallion who wanted to talk to her, not interested in the slightest in him.

He left and she moved on, searching for the one she wanted. Then she saw the stallion who had called out. The voice of him had told her who he was, and there was no way he was going to get away from her this time.

"You kept me waiting a long time, Malion." Her ears laid back, and she bared her teeth at him. This was not a mare he was going to be able to push around, that was how she wanted things to be. Now she was the one who was going to make her own choices.

His head snapped up, eyes narrowing on the one that dared speak at him.
"I'll have you know," he eyed her up and down with distaste "I don't wait on anyone, nor come forth with petite commands. I don't follow orders."

He grumbled under his breath, his oddly marked form standing out around the other, normally coloured mares and stags.
"Hurry up and talk, or get the hell out of my way," he snapped finally with an impatient whip of his cords, baring his teeth in return.

She laughed harshly. "Do you not know what I am? I am one of the Apocalypse horses. Angering me is not wise, Malion. You might be the brother of Ashton, but that name is nothing to me or to my siblings. Each of us sought someone and you, though such a latecomer, were the one I chose. What do you make of that? Only those who are extremely worthy of us got chosen, so consider yourself lucky!"

She laid her ears back. he seemed to be such an idiot, what was the point in bothering with talking to him?

"Half-brother!" he hissed, shuddering at the mere thought of being related to that idiot "I have nothing to do with him and blood is nothing... especially when related to that!"

He stamped a hoof in annoyance, glaring at her with heat and huffed a sigh.
"And why would you do that?" he questioned in a bored tone "the unknown, half-brother of a now dead king! What did you have in mind? And unless it includes bringing Ashton back so I can kill him myself...well I'm not interested."
