Never thought that such a sweet mare could do so much

I moved thought the trees just before dawn. my skeleton like shape only flashes could be seen if any watched. I made my way to a cave then as the sun came up i went out once more and i was just a normal dark brown horse again. with a sigh i moved on keeping to were the sun went as it was still early and if i went in the shade right now i would once more be the skeleton and don't really want that.

I stood a little longer in the sun before going the way i came last night and it was not hard to find the blackened trees and tracks that i had made. I knew that this would be blamed on a hellion as not many other horses had flames to do this damage but if one looked at the tracks they would see that this one went almost as fast as a vampire or faster, but that was only at night.

I sighed and walked along it knowing many horses would come to see what had happened here, as thats what happen every time never had they even thought about the dark brown mare that moved along the path. I sighed and moved on until i came to a place on the path of complete black then stopped.

I looked around then stopped and frowned as a stag came my way slowly and i felt my gut turn over. I half felt that this one had seen me last night and i hoped he saw his mistake tonight before i changed. I sighed and looked at this one as he spoke my name "hello Trainwreck" i said leaving out what i was going to say what he said after he had said his name "i know it was a demand that i go with you but i know your evil and it is a mistake trying to claim me" i said then added "but if i must i will you will not find me tonight though or any other night only in day will you see me" i said.
I looked around half hoping that a good stallion might come as i did not want to have to run far from the herd i lived in each night for the fact i would end up making him feel all the pain he has done to others. I lowered my head slightly then remember how it would happen and i could not stop it from doing so. just like my rider.

A tall and powerful horse moved through the woods, seeking those who were worthy of him. He wanted to rebuild his land, and regain the things that he had lost because of his bad natured brother. Kula was a bright golden champagne stallion with a stripe on his nose and one white sock. His mane and tail were darker by a few shades than his body. There was nothing special about him really, but he knew that there were some things that you couldn't have.

Stopping by the river, he drank for a few moments, listening to all the creatures around him. Would anyone come to him? Then he heard the sound of another mare and moved in that direction, hoping for someone worth claiming, maybe even saving. Soon enough he came upon a sight he had not anticipated. A pretty brown mare being told to go with another stallion.

"Do you really think that everywthing revolves aroudn forcing others to do your will?" he asked, moving into the clearing. Looking to the mare, he bowed in greeting. "I am Kula, a stranger to these parts, and you are, ma'am?"

I sighed to myself i would go with anyother if i could do so. Turning my head to look around i saw that another stag had come this one i felt could be easier to live with then trainwreck "greetings Kula i am Serafin" i said moving around Trainwreck so i could speak to him a bit better "and yes i did say i would go with him but only if another did not come that had more good in his heart" i said to Kula. I moved so i stood with my sides facing both stags and said to trainwreck "even if you end up taking me i shall be gone in a few nights or you will be running me out" i said it as a warning for he had seen me at night and the pain i could make him have at that time would be very great.

I sighed then looked at both stags thinking of how i would make Trainwreck forget what i was and how i would keep it from the other and any others around me. it was then i woundered whom else had seen my flesh once more fill my bones and dark brown hair grow to fill my coat. I sighed and wounder what my life would have been like if i had not been my owners ride and if i would still be eating oats or would he have let me be wild for a time any way.

he sighed as he heard the others name. This was one of the ones that he was not interested in talking to at all. There was an issue between them that would make a freindship never work out.
"I would not force you to join me, Serafin. Those who do, choose to do so. Where I come from, it is frowned upon to see mares forced into another's herd, and I can see from the few days I've been here, that there is the same view of said thing."

Serafin

I watched him and knew that to go with Trainwreck would pain me but to go with Kula would not. I wondered what Trainwreck would really do to me if he found that i could not be killed. Snapping away from my thoughts i looked to Kula as he spoke.

I waited until he was finished before i spoke to him again " i trust what you say is true and i would rather go with you Kula then Trainwreck as i feel if i went with him it would do no good to his family or himself"

"My history is long, Serafina. I doubt that this is the time for you to hear of it." He sighed, knowing that Trainwreck would certainly not be interested in his life story. She would be though, he was sure of that. "Beware one called Staramboli, I might warn you."

Serafin

I nodded my head as he spoke "as i s mine back most none shall know" i said to him and listened when he said beware of the one called Staramboli "i will take care when i need to Kula" I added then wondered why would he warn me about another.

I looked around at the other with a evil like glare that Kula would not see. I was a sweet mare but only when i wanted and only in the day. I looked around again thinking of my rider who would call many years from now for me and i knew i would go. Even if it meant leaving behind any horses i loved and taking with me any foal i may have at the time he calls.

Bump

he sighed, he was amused that the other who wanted her had not spoken up in a while. That was something that he had not been expecting for some time now. After all, he was the newcomer to this world, surely there was some sort of pecking order?

"Staramboli, you see, is my brother. Once he finds out you are with me, he will try everything in his power to try and take you from me. Not that i am about to let him do so."

Serafin

I watched Kula for a short time and then he spoke about his brother "well if he comes for me at all and i mean at all i will send him away myself, i am stronger then anyone thinks around here" i said not going into to much detail for if this brother of Kula's comes my way at night, well i hope he leaves me alone after that.

I looked around before turning to Kula to speak again "you will not find me at night but i shall always be found again when morning comes and do not think your brother has come if i don't come back at dawn, i will just be taking my time at getting home" i said to him so that when i did go at night then he would not worry.

"Those who are in my herd should remain in my lands, but if they choose to wander off than that is fine as well. I am not one of the horses who keeps his herd together, for I rather that those with me are able to move about as they see fit."

He smiled kindly at her. "Mares may come and go as they please, I will not boss them about."

Serafin

I listened to what he said then nodded "i will remain most of the time in your lands just not around any others" I said to him with a small smile. I looked around then my smile grew " Well thats settled and now i am yours to take" i said to him sweetly.

I looked around wondering if i could keep my secret from Kula until i feel it was the right thing to do. I knew that until i felt it was right to tell him that my life would be half secret and the only horse here that knew whom i was, was that other stallion.

Another appeared now though, another stallion. Though he was the same age as Kula, he snarled as he glared at Trainwreck. "You will let them leave! You will not toucha hair on my brother's hide, nor on the mares." He looked at Kula, only for a fleeting second. "I do not do this for you brother, save for the fact that no one hurts you but me."

"I don't need your help, Staramboli!" Kula snorted, glaring at the brown stallion with the wierd facial markings. "There is nothing here for us. You should just leave me to my own battles."

"Oh? And watch Trainwreck here kill you? How pathetic can you be?" the chestnut stallion laughed.

Serafin

I looked at this new comer and thanked deep down i was not in a shadow. I looked at this stallion so this was Staramboli the one Kula warned me about " well you might want to keep from hurting your brother from now on Staramboli" i said calmly but that calm voice had something else behind it.
I looked at Kula "let us go before anyone else turns up or before Trainweck challenges you for me" i said.
I turned my head to look at his brother "you should move along"
In the whole time i had been there i had been very careful not to step into a shadow or with these two mean stags around who be trouble.

"I can defend myself, Staramboli." Kula glared at the chestnut horse with the odd blue eyes. it was clear there was no brotherly love between them. He would never forgive him for what had happened in the past.
He looked towards Serafin. "Shall we?" he asked, turning his head towards the trees behind her. It was time he headed home to the place he had found for himself.

Serafin

I watched them then waited knowing we would be going soon, i was glade for that. I looked at Staramboli making sure i could remember him so if he ever came at night he would be in trouble but for now i would remain the mare i was before i became what i was.
I waited a little then he spoke yes "yes we shall anything to get away from here would be nice" i said to Kula and i moved so i stood beside him.
