With powerful ebony legs, her strides carried her forth. The musclar yet slender chest pushed thought the running water of the river with ease, the water breaking and leaving a disappearing path in her wake.

The elegance of her every movement gather attention from the surronding stallions, though not so much as the glowing gold eyes nor the glowing markings on her left cheekbone, half hidden from view under her long tresses which she huffed out of the way every few steps. The rest of the long curled strands stuck to her body like another skin, damp from the water which she paced upstream though.

A tender sigh escaped her, the dark head lowering to the waters edge and brushed against the flowing surface, sipping softly at its cool jewels before raising her slender neck once more, golden eyes darting around the forests edge but made no move from the middle of the river.

Within this large forest of paradise lay a small clearing - a place of merry bird song and dancing shadows. It was within this forest that Demitri stood, the dappled light flickering across his palomino dun pelt as he peered out beyond the emerald leaves, towards the river before him. A creature in the water had caught his attention - and indeed, his wholehearted focus was on naught but her. Her elegant ebony pelt and sleek feminine build easily grasping his amber gaze as it had roamed the sunlit terrain.

She was pretty all right - but her pelt was not what had attracted him to her. No, it was the dazzling golden hue of the markings upon the left side of her face. How utterly exotic. She was one of a kind. Imagine the foals that both of them could have... Pretty little fillies indeed.

For some time, Demitri had been observing the mare, simply enjoying the graceful movements she made and the way the light played across her pelt. However, he soon tired of simply watching. He wanted to be close to her; to taste the warmth of her skin and breathe in her intoxicating scent.

And so he eased his masculine frame into motion, strong, muscled carrying him at a languid pace as he wandered up towards the river edge. His piercing amber eyes remained pinned upon her figure, although every so often they would flick to either side, making sure no other stallion dared try and greet her.

"You look a little lost, darling," he commented dryly, the slightest of smirks upon his lips. As the silence settled between them he extended his scar-littered neck, dipping into a mocking bow before the beauty in the river. "I trust you have four legs? Come now, darling, the water is simply no place for an earth-bound equine and you and I."

Her half closed eyes flashed open, her side seeming to half fade under the water as she turned suddenly to face the stallion who dared call her to his attention.

The yellow eyes seemed to glow brightly, scanning over his pale dun bodice and finally met with his amber eyes with a toss of her elegant neck.

"I am not lost," she snorted with a nervous shift of weight and stayed right where she was "and if you truly must know, I do indeed have all four hooves and a mane, a tail and all those other features one like yourself must have to be deemed as 'normal'."

She tensed a little at the repetitive nickname but did not comment, rather stubbournly stayed right where she was. She wasn't leaving this river anytime soon. It was stallions like him as to why she was in it in the first place. And the fact she welcome the cool touch in this hot weather.

Eyes scanned over his mocking bow, stiffling a gigle at his flirtacious action before calling back towards him.
"You must do better then that stallion," she chortled "but, first of all, what is your name?"

[sub]“Good to know, m’lady,” Demitri smirked, bowing once more to the pretty fae. “For I’d hate to think that one as beautiful as you could not flaunt her beauty to the equines of the world. A tragic waste it would be!” he cried dramatically, taking a few steps forward to the fae, closing his eyes, as though in anguish.

“I shall endevour to, beauty,” he agreed, smirking cockily, flicking his golden tail nonchalantly. “Demitri is what I answer to. What is yours, then?” he inquired curiously, tilting his head to the side.

The stallion’s pelt glowed radiantly under the golden sunlight, highlighting the shadows in his amber eyes, as he smiled charmingly. “If you won’t come onto the land, would you not at least allow this humble stallion to join you in the water?” he asked coyly.

“So, where do you hail from, Lady?” he queried, eyes flashing amber in the sun, as he bobbed his head slightly.

OOC: Sooo i wrote a long, totally awesome post. And it disappeared....-.- now I'm annoyed and have to rewrite this...so sorry if it isn't as good as it should of been Very Happy

Iduna's eyes widened at his words of flattery, elegant neck arching as she twisted her beautiful form to the tall stallion standing on the sandy banks.

"I.." she murmured, glancing up at his figure "there is no need to worry then. All my limbs are firmly in place."

A soft smirk played at her lips but quickly shifted into a hesitant smile, murmuring his name upon her delicate lips and softly whispering her name.

"Iduna..."

She turned away then, twisting her ebony neck so that her wet tresses fell between them like a curtain. But a gasp escaped her, eyes widening at his words. Join her? Here? In the water? She felt safe here, the current was her friend at least understanding her in many ways.

She peered at him though her long, black locks and her glowing eyes flickering over his handsome built form and slowly took a step towards the shore and came to a halt several meters from the water's edge and nodded slowly.

"I do not leave the water to speak to strangers," she informed him with a huff, blowing her fetlock from her pretty features so she could see him properly "and I simply roam the lands."

_{Demitri grinned in what he knew was a devilishly handsome manner. Countless others had told him that. He remembered those instances fondly, preening slightly as his bright amber eyes tracked the mare's every move and breath.

So, the mare had a bit of dry humour too. That was good.

The golden stallion, tossed his tresses, nodding seriously. "That's good, m'Lady. Or maybe not so good. Then I would have a chance to leap into the river and rescue you!" he cried theatrically, chuckling after his short, impassioned speech.

"Iduna.." he murmured, tenor voice caressing each and every syllable of the name, dragging it out so that it seemed a hundred syllables long instead of only three. "A pretty name, for a beautiful mare such as yourself. And I do not lie, Lady, for your are as gorgeous as a rose in full bloom, like the moon hovering in the dark sky peppered with gleaming stars... And a thousand other beautiful things I have seen but will not name, in fear of boring you."

Demitri shifted restlessly on the bank, stamping a hoof and throwing up his head, eagerly awaiting her answer.

"Ah, a perfectly logical reason," Demitri nodded stepping closer to the water and carefully wading in, stopping a little ways from her for fear of frightening her off. "Then I should join you."

He fell silent for a moment, enjoying the gently lapping of cool water upon his heated body.

"Well, then tell me more about yourself!"}
