Darkness had settled upon the land, the moon peering from the edges of clouds as the valley filled itself with cool mist. Mystery captured the scene, and the flowers of night emerged as bats landed upon bushes of honeysuckle to taste the delectable forbidden taste. All was calm, and the moonlight cascading upon the trees told him that it was yet again a full moon. Eerie howls emerged from the cliffs far away, for their terrain was safe from all burdens, and no burdens dare tread. But a tread he did hear, though it was not one meant to be silent - but it was a fae, and she was not foreign to him.
From the edge of his cliff, he emerged, light crystalline orbs watching her with ease as she gracefully sauntered across the land. It was if she was playing the part of owner - it made him grin to himself. Red orbs of hers were illuminated as her ebony bodice traveled through the moonlight. Unlike his beautiful queen, she was rather large and burly, her twisted horn glinting as she halted at the stairway of rocks. Rather confusing was his land, yet it was not meant to be understandable to the passer-by. At the moment, that was all that she was, but of course, she would be accepted as a wondrous addition to the herd. Of course, they would all respect her, for she was much like himself and the queen.
Ebony wings spread wide and fluttered as he soared across the sky and was before her in nearly one swift move. Fantasma swooped down after studying her in the moonlight. "Greetings, Kalika. It seems you have found your way to Aonar quite easily," he inferred, knowing that they would leave off right where the ended, with her.
Kalika had given him a challenge, someone that he had to work to attain. It was satisfying to have her here now, and even though he was a kind and true leader, he rather enjoyed a challenge. Nothing had changed since their first meeting, and he had long waited for the day that she arrived to his lands. There was something special about this mare. Whether it was the way she moved or the way she talked or the way she just was, she was definitely different than most of the mares he'd met in his life other than Omeya. She was truly spectacular.
