Toralon

The brown and white wolf grinned a bit, through the wet sands as he headed towards the den he'd made for himself and his pack. It was large, with enough room for eight or nine fully grown wolves. It had to be large though, since four she-wolves had joined him, and eventually, he knew, there would be pups. In addition to them, one of his nieces, Tirona, a blind wolf and earth elemental, visited them every so often, gravitating between his pack and Modet's pack every few weeks.

First in his pack was Lupita, blind, and at one time deaf. However, thanks to the queen of the land of wishes, she had gained her hearing. She was charming, sweet and lovely. Innocent, and capable, and he loved her dearly.

Next was Anila, the wolf goddess of love. She was far his senior, but he had pleased her, and she had chosen to join him, if only for a while. Who could help but love her? She commanded grace and mystery, and there was always something different to see in her.

Third was Nashira, she of the long legs, the large ears. She of the red-brown coat. She was wonderful, and they had found in each other complete understanding. Gentle, kind, and loving was she, and simply being able to see her stole his breath.

Fourth, and last, was Tulip. She was naive, and very much a pup. Still, she was willing to learn, and kind. He loved her for her curiosity, for her wonder, and for her sensitivity.

Now the brown and white brute weighed all this carefully in his mind, checking and rechecking his decision. Would Anila do well, with her experience and her knowledge? No, for she might leave at any time. However, would she be offended if he didn't choose her? Hopefully not, and if she was, Torie would do his best to explain why he had chosen as he did.

Lupita had been the first to join him, but, despite her many strengths, he needed to choose one who was fully capable of using all her senses. If she could see, Toralon was sure the decision would be even harder to make. As it was, her disability was the only thing that had come against her in his mind, and he hated it for that reason.

Tulip... Well, Toralon loved her well, but she was far too inexperienced, and had far too much to learn. Perhaps she never even would, and so choosing her would be a grave mistake.

That left but one... Nashira was strange, but she was able, and balanced him, she was perfect in so many ways, and nothing spoke against her, not even the slightest thing.

Nodding again, Toralon barked a few times. "Lupita, Anila, Tulip, Nashira. I wish to speak to you all. There is a matter which I must discuss with you, immediately." Stopping, he stood still, his back to the ocean, waiting for them to come. Yes, his mind was made up, and now was the time to speak with them of this.

Soft and shy, Lupita walked in silence beside the love goddess. Her ears twitched, taking in all the sounds around her. Though, she was more outgoing then she had first been when she had entered this land, she still felt somewhat left out and felt herself falling more and more in love with her pack leader. Toralon. It was everything about him that drew her in, the way he spoke called to her. Ever time she smelt his scent, her heart fluttered helplessly without thought.

Anila sighed softly as she walked beside the fae, she knew the heartfelt cries of the fae beside her and knew there was little she could do in return. The fae's heart all but bled for her true mate, and yet Anila wondered if Toralon knew. That the love between them was rarely seen and would end as the perfect mated couple. She may of been the love goddess, but she was no miracle worker. And she had to leave it up to the both of them to sort out.

"We are here Toralon," she greeted the brute with a tilt of her pink tinted wings "as is Lupita."
The grey tipped wolf nodded her head, moving without aid to rest beside Toralon "That I am," she said quietly.

(Wow, I totally forgot about this thread!)

“If joy and pain in this nether world,
Must fairly balanced be,
O, why not some of the pain to them.
And some of the joy to me?” - Effie Afton

It was that sunset; the one that had shone such vivid hues of red and gold, lacing the skies with deep pinks and purples that shone down sun-rays like satin upon her pelt. The atmosphere felt like everything had been restored between them, after all the conversations and deep words shared, it felt like she had never left. Familiarity sank in when her ebony paws sank into the cool, light sands, spring's breeze settling upon her ruffled pelt, still a bit thick from the winter. Deep earth brown orbs searched for him, her true love. Oh, if it had not been important, she would have never have wandered from his loving gaze. There hadn't been a day when his calling had not crossed through her mind, filled with thoughts, memories, and things she wished she could tell him.

Ebony caressed her long, lanky pillars and sat next to the deep auburn red that took the hue of her pelt. She was beautiful, in a strange way. Right now, though, her nerves were running wild, and her harks laid back against her skull submissively to whoever her alpha would choose to lead them. Although fear crept into her heart, she stood strong against the blowing gales and stood with an adamant stance. Would he accept her again? Did he remember her? Nashira only knew one thing, and that was that she would respect him, no matter what his decision was because she loved him.

There he was. Nashira showed restraint, trying not to run up and nuzzle him with all her might in case he didn't accept her back. Oh, but she could hardly contain herself with the joy that had sprouted up in her heart and had grown sudden wings. "Toralon," she said softly, heart thumping like cracks of thunder rumbling in the grayed skies. "I've missed you," said Nashira, trotting up to his side and nuzzling him softly, tenderly. "It has been far too long, and I take all the guilt. I must speak to you later, though about a very grave issue. I have been to Africa...and what they hope to do to us...is terrible.." she whispered in his left hark, orbs filled with knowing. They could win this, but they would have to be determined.

"Greetings," the tall, lanky fae said to the others, who she bowed politely to. "I am Nashira," she smiled slightly, mysteriously as she looked to the beautiful goddess. Surely, she would be the alpha of them all....or maybe the blind fae that had such a perfect personality. Either way, she would be happy with the choice, even if she was chosen. It was a possibility since she was, indeed a part of the pack, but Nashira found it highly impossible. Never doubt the impossible her wise mind told her, and she listened, waiting politely for him to speak.

Tulip

I liked this place, but i still could not hunt right, but that was something i did not care much about any more. I knew my purple coat was to blame for my lack of being able to catch smaller prey and with the larger ones if i could get close with being seen then my coat did not matter as much. I just shrugged those thoughts off and listened with my overly larger red tip ears.

I heard Toralon call and started to run to were i had heard his call come from. I saw with my reddish eyes three others. I knew that they most likely see me from here better then i them. I stopped a little off from the others then walked into the group "Hello Toralon" i said then to the others " I am Tulip" I looked at the others, then to Toralon with a joyful smile.

Toralon

He smiled at each of the four as they came, dark eyes viewing them all contentedly. He liked being around his entire pack, especially later in the day. Pack meetings were rare here, where he could usually find those he needed to speak to easily, and otherwise wait till they came back.

"Thank you, all of you. I've missed those who have been gone... The company of my old pack is good, but my own pack is worth much more in many ways. The matter I've called you here for you've already guessed probably. The matter of the alpha female. I've been long in choosing, but I've decided at last."

he looked at them all, one at a time, sighing a bit in his head. Lupita he knew would make a fine alpha, and were it not for his desicion to grow his pack more before deciding, she would have been chosen. He would have to spend some more time with her later, he knew. The brown and white wolf frowned slightly, barely a twitch. Anila, he could tell, had an idea in her head, and he could guess at what it was. He wished it could work out perfectly right then, but it couldn't if he paid attention to other factors...

"Nashira..." he murmured, gently at first, then, "Nashira, I've chosen you, if you agree. Lupita however, will be the beta wolf of the pack, for various reasons."

Anila smiled sadly, feeling the tug and battle of the rose hearts around her. Each wanted his attention, his adoration. To be his only lover. But none would get it, she knew as such. As a reader of the mind and of the soul, she knew each of their greatest wishes. Some had been long lived and would even continue with the news she knew Toralon would announce.
Funny, she thought softly, how one would do anything just to rest eyes on their lover.

With a noble tilt of her pink tinged head, she awaited for the words she knew he would say. It had nothing to do with her, for she was a goddess. She had no wish for the titles these mortals fought over, she was just content to have a place to lay her head and friends to speak with.

Lupita's blind eyes searched listlessly, trying to find the figure as he spoke. Her harks twitched, the gentle movements of his maw finding sounds to create the melody to her perked tips.
Her heart broke slightly with his words, but she forced all feelings back and understood. She was a cripple. A blind wolf. A danger. She would never be a queen, no matter of her love and feelings. He had chosen the strongest to lead at his side, and maybe even the one his heart lay with. She had never met the fae now known as queen, she she tilted her head in the general direction.
"Well done, my queen," she whispered and nodded slightly to Toralon, glad to at least be near him "and I would be glad to, My King," she finished formally, keeping her head bowed and blind eyes lowered.

Anila half smiled and nodded to the couple.
"Lead well," she murmured, the sound of wisdom within her lyrics and curled her wings tightly around her bodice.

OOC: sorry it took so long!

Bullets felt like they were bouncing off of the inside of her heart, about ready to make it implode the moment before he breathed and looked to her. There would be no denial in his choice, no harsh feelings nor words; her orbs were blank as she stared on. Only quick thoughts and feelings ran through her mind, as she didn't allow herself to think anything else. Nashira's expression was wary yet respectful, allowing him the great honor to announce who their alpha would be. How kind she would be, if only she was chosen to stand beside Toralon for the rest of her life in love with him forever.

Her orbs widened exponentially as he whispered her name, shivers running down her spine as her entire frame quivered. Instinctively, her lanky pillars tread upon the sandy shores as her smile shone with sheer joy and happiness. Nashira's fox-like harks laid back against her skull submissively as she nuzzled his cheek and looked straight into his soul with her light earth hued shining orbs. The new alpha glanced back at the disappointed expressions of her peers, and regret overcame her as she walked up to them.

At first, she was sure that no one would understand what she was doing. Suddenly, she dropped her skull to the ground and brushed it at the bottom of their pillars before rising slowly. "I will always pay you the respect you want. You won't have to worry about me," she smiled slightly, paying them her words before returning to Toralon's side. Perhaps her words would comfort their hearts and make their souls feel lighter. "...Thank you all," she whispered to Lupita and Anila.
