| A blue head could just be seen above the water of the river. If she had been out of the water any others around would have seen most of her coat was blue then brown then a white on her belly and legs. Her violet eyes where half closed as if fighting off exhaustion and losing. She was defiantly a mare from the delicacy of her head. Her coat was water logged weighing her down, threatening to pull her under the water. She let out a startled whinny as her head was pulled under water by a current that any other horse could have fought through easily. It became obvious she only saw what was in front of her when she came back up. her legs stuck in an endless fight to keep her head above the water. Her ear where dropped as even those muscles had no strength to work everything was going to her legs, heart and lungs. All she could think about was staying afloat. After a time a current swept the poor mare towards a bank and deposed her close to the back but not out of danger yet but she had on strength to pull her body out of the water. It was only now that one could see her colourful coat and the scars that lined her sides where wings had once been. Her eyes now closed and her knees buckled and she fell back into slightly deeper water but that didn't matter anymore to her she was tried and wanted sleep land was muddy under her feet but it was still there she had made it into a place and now she could rest. | It was raining again.
Ramil huffed, annoyed, as he shook his wet locks out of his eyes. Carrying his long, back tail high so that it did not trail on the muddy ground, the black stallion trotted onward swiftly, his pace never faltering, sure-footed, even on the mud-slicked ground.
He found the soft pattering of raindrops a comforting sound, as he moved steadfastly onwards. Tossing his head up high-spiritedly, Ramil let out an enthusiastic bugle, almost lost in the sound of the falling rain. He was enjoying this - the sense of freedom he felt, to do whatever he wanted, without critiquing eyes assessing him every second of the day.
Out of the corner of his eye, Ramil spotted a strangely-coloured shape lying prone on what seemed like part of the wet, muddy and grassy ground. The black stallion elegantly came to a halt, tilting his head inquisitively to the side, as he debated the pros and cons of checking that shape out, versus getting to shelter before he got any wetter.
As the the sky had heard his thoughts, and was berating him for them, the sky opened up and released another torrent of water. Ramil snorted in indignation, whinnying shrilly as he shook his head and headed off in that direction - towards the river, if he recalled correctly.
It was only as he drew nearer, however, that it was not an oddly-coloured rock - but a mare! A mare with scars lining her flanks, body being tossed and turned as the water churned beneath her.
Ramil gasped in horror, already galloping to the mare.
"Miss! Miss! Are you all right?" he gasped, nudging her insistently till she seemed to wake, before trying to push her onto firmer ground. He could tell that she was exhausted, but still trying to make an effort.
And Ramil respected that.
"Come on, Miss," he urged, voice absurdly gentle. "Let's get you to shelter."
Stumbling a little under her weight as he allowed her to lean upon him if she was so inclined, Ramil led her towards one of the caves he had seen, stepping inside and immediately turning to block the entrance so that he got the brunt of the cold, slashing wind and pouring rain.

| Her eyes slightly opened when she heard the voice of another, but as tired as she was she didn't know whether they were real or not. She moved leaning on the others side barely keeping her feet.
Nova could not even speak at that point her throat was dry and rubbed raw from the salt and well as soon as the temperature around her warmed a little she collapsed back to the ground, her legs no longer ale to hold herself up any longer.
She tried to open her eyes and look for the one who had helped her but she could barely keep them open for minute.
"th...a..n" Nova tried to say but just ended up coughing and shaking with cold.
Since she had been swimming for so long her legs could not longer hold her weight, not only that she was also dehydrated and starved. With the little of what she had left Nova let her self drift off to sleep hoping she may wake into the morning.

| He was nearly frantic with worry. All thoughts of jokes and carelessness that faded away, quick as the mist in the presence of the sun. Ramil shook his head, sending a spray of water onto the damp cave floor. The ends of his tail brushed the ground, and he could tell that it was getting all muddy and dirty.
The black stallion stifled a grimace of distaste, pushing that thought to the back of his head, and focusing on the mare lying weakly on the floor in front of him. She was, he could see, shivering and trembling almost uncontrollably.
Ramil paced the small cave a little, he himself shivering slightly as the icy wind basted his flank dead-on. Was she too cold? Could she have gotten hypothermia? What was he to do? What could he do?
Even cold, wet, trembling and miserable, Ramil could appreciate the sheer beauty of the fae lying in front of him. Her colours were exquisite, nothing like those dull one-coloured faes he had seen dotted over the lands. They all looked one at the same.
But she... He had a feeling that this mare was something special.
A soft rasp caught his attention. Immediately zeroing in on the fae, he crossed over to her in less than three strides, nuzzling her cheek gently, urging her to remain silent and rest.
"Shh," he crooned tenderly. "Just rest. I'll watch over you throughout the night."
Ramil lay down next to her, positioning his body sideways, so that his flank faced the entrance. And then, he stayed awake, watchfully guarding the treasure he had found all the way through to morning.

| She heard his words before sniking into a much deeper sleep. As she slept next to the other her body begain to warm but one can't just drive cold like this away so easily. Nova felt her sides start to hurt where her wings used to be and groaned before opening her violet eyes to see it was morning.
She realised that someone was next to her and she slowly lifted her head off the ground a few inches before letting her head fall back to the ground. She want water but there was no way she could move now. All her mucles had stiffened and it hurt to move.
Nova closed her eyes not being able to get a look at who ever it was next to her. She tried to dampen her throat with saliver so she could speak but Nova knew she could only say a few words before she wouldn't be ablw to speak with getting any water.
"Wa..te.r ple..as" She cursed herself in her mind for her stumbling over the words but she hoped he knew what she wanted and find a way to get her a drink.

| Ramil had never thought that he would have felt such a strong feeling of worry for anyone before in his entire, short life. The Prince had been, from the moment he had rescued her from the swollen river, frantic and edging. He wanted to much to do something to help her, but he knew not what to do!
Helpless, he could only pray to whatever Gods existed that come morning, the currently catonic mare would be all right. All throughout the dark, cold night, Ramil sat by her side, watching, waiting, praying, that somehow, everything would be okay.
As the first golden rays painted the sky, Ramil felt the mare at his side start to stir. The black stallion looked down, eyes slightly bloodshot but soft, a smile of relief tugging upon his lips. She was awake! His silent vigil had paid off throughout the night.
Still, the worry resided within his heart, when the colourful mare barely had the strength to lift her head. Watching her with worried eyes, the stallion nickered to her soothingly, quietly. Ears pricking, Ramil nodded, nuzzling her neck a little as he slowly extracted himself from her side, making his way to the cave entrance.
He hesitated. Would she be alright by herself?
"I'll be back soon," he promised, shifting awkwardly on his hooves. "Just.. um, stay here!" he said, before dashing off to the river. Tearing a wad of moss from one of the rocks, the stallion dunked it in the water, letting it soak up the cool, sweet liquid, before galloping back to the cave.
Skidding to a stop, Ramil lowered the precious bundle of moss to the cave floor, beside the mare. He took a but in his mouth, squeezing the moisture out onto her lips.
Hopefully, this would be enough.

| Nova managed to get on eye open and see the other get up and leave. She could have laughed at him telling her stay where she was, it’s not like she could go anywhere even if she wanted to. She sighed in relief when she felt water drip into her mouth. It was the best tasting thing she had had for weeks.
Nova felt her throat stop being so dry and sighed again, now if she could just find a way to get a little food then she could start to recover a bit more, she had gone without fresh water and food like this before but there had always been ways to survive if she didn’t move too much, but the cold ocean water sucked out heat and energy and with nothing to replace what was lost it got pretty hard on her.
Nova tried to move her head again managing this time to hold it up a little better “Than.k Y..ou” She still found it a little hard to talk.
She sigh and let her head fall back to the ground “if I ge..tmo..rewate..r f..fo..od later I surv..ive” Nova told the stallion and hated not being able to speak all the words she had wanted too but started to cough from speaking to much. She closed her mouth and shut her open eye, not asleep but resting her sore salt crusted eyes.
Nova wanted nothing more than to look at what damage had been done to her lags and body by the water but right now she was still too weak . As soon as she could Nova decide to try and wash away the salt from her coat and get her health back to what it was so she didn’t look like drowned rat.

| The more he tended to her, the more Ramil felt that he was growing closer to her, as though they had already established a rapport, a bond, through this. Of course, that could always have only been his thoughts and personal feelings - but there they were, nonetheless.
His dark eyes were soft and sad, even as he helped the mare drink a bit more of the clean, fresh water he had brought all the way from the stream in some dripping moss. It wasn't much, but Ramil dearly hoped that it was enough.
He couldn't bear it if she died. Somehow.. he felt as though a part of him would be extinguished as well, would follow her into the void.
"No problem," he replied softly, hesitating, before he nuzzled her cheek, hoping to give the mare some comfort from his presence.
He jumped as she talked again, ears pricking to listen intently to her words.
"Don't worry," he reassured her, voice low and soothing. "I'll make sure you get the food and water you need. There are apples and everything not too far from here! I'll get them for you later, once you feel a but better, okay?" he asked, smiling with joy to see her a little more awake and lively.
