Seven years she has walked on this earth. Seven years spent wandering the wilds of the world, searching for something that only she can find; herself. It was seemingly a never ending journey. All the inner reflection and wracking of her brain had gotten her nowhere. Maybe she wasn't supposed to remember her past. Uncanny, isn't it? How a single knock on the head can erase every memory one has ever had. Remington remembers nothing before a year ago, when she awoke at the base of a cliff covered in blood and utterly alone. Since that time she has been traveling alone hoping that someone, anyone she met would know her and be able to tell her what happened. Alas, it has all been to no avail. Any others of her kind she has met have either attacked and pushed her out of their territories or have had nothing to give her but a safe place to stay for the night. No answers. Nothing.

While Remington may not remember her own history, I certainly do. She was born to a mid-level mare in a very large herd. Her father, bless him, was more concerned with the safety of his position and his herd-members than the offspring he sired. Until they reached the age of four, he had nothing to do with them; that was the mares' prerogative. After four fairly uneventful years, Remington was called to a private audience with her father, as all the new four year olds were. He told her that for the past two years they had been facing the threat of invasion from a rival family group. Both families had been slowly increasing their territories and there came a time when the two boundaries finally met and therefore clashed. There had been small skirmishes, but nothing major. However recently her father had come upon one of the young mares in the herd, a mere five year old, slaughtered not two miles from where the entire herd was sheltered. Her death bore the marks of another horse, not a carnivore. She was badly beaten with numerous broken bones and probably died of internal bleeding. Remington's mission? To find the enemies' camp and bring back word of its location. So she did. Such a feat was astoundingly easy for her, despite her lack of experience and training. She was given increasingly more difficult missions, all of them top secret and very risky. Time after time she returned with valuable information. When she was 6 years old, Remington was given the most dangerous mission of all; take out an enemy. Her herd wasn't the only one sending out single "spies". They had the location of an enemy and wanted him destroyed. Remington did so and returned from the experience with only a single cut above her right eye. Unfortunately, it was a trap. She was followed home.

And thus we return to the beginning of Remington's memory; alone and covered with blood at the base of a cliff. What she doesn't remember is the veritable army of enemies that poured into their sheltered place, slaughtering every member of her herd and family to the last foal. Remington, skilled in the arts of deception, managed to escape via a narrow, rocky trail hidden by the treeline. She killed many of the enemy. What she didn't see coming was the rockfall that left her without her memory.

Personality...
Alliance...Dark
Languages...Equine, limited avian
Temperament...Introverted, but very intelligent. She can remain calm in almost any situation and is incredibly skilled in concealment and tracking. If she doesn't want to be found, you won't be able to find her. Witty and usually sarcastic, most don't enjoy carrying on a conversation with her for any length of time. She has a tendency to puncture inflated egos and leave others questioning themselves.
