The Agorae of L I F E (Erosaf)

Subject: The Agorae of L I F E (Erosaf) Tue Nov 22 2011, 19:51

Agorae loped across the gentle slopes of the lands, moving ahead from the group to check out any possible dangers that may lay ahead. His side was almost completely healed, though a small part of stiffness lingered but as he continued to stretch his limbs the stiffness faded from his mind.

Black nub wriggling at all these new scents that he had never crossed before, but none had that dangerous tang of danger so he peered back over his shoulder a small encourging yelp escaping him, a sign he had often used with his human handlers, as his tail wagged with greeting.

He had done it. He had made it. A land to call home, one that he could roam freely without danger. At least that was the plan, a plan which he hoped to include this beautiful, white angel with him alongside her siblings.

"Gem," he said as she paced beside him "what do you think?"

"Come on all of you." Gem looked over her shoulder at the straggling pups and sighed. They were such a handful and of her and Agorae, she was the only one who could defend them at the moment. It was something that was rather annoying for her, but she knew she could handle it. She was a savage fighter. She snarled suddenly, leaping into the bush off to Agorae's side, vanishing for a few seconds.

Before reemerging in a snarling biting and scratching ball, intermixed with a huge wolf with acidic green markings on him. Her teeth snapped into him, she was furious. He'd been planning on killing her Agorae while he had his back turned! The green marked wolf threw her off, raising to his full height as she landed on her feet, also doing so. She knew Agorae would stand no chance against this poison wolf. She was glad she was quicker on her paws that then the crueler wolf, every time he bashed the floor green came out of his paws, acid she knew would kill her with one touch.

"You'll never get him!" she snarled. "Leave!" Wolves fought with a fury Agorae would never have, and were protective of the others in their packs. Her haunches tightened once more and she leapt forwards once more, biting into the wolf who was twice her size's shoulder. He yelped and tossed her of before bolting.

Breathing hard, she returned back to Agorae. "He was going to kill you."

He smiled slightly at the soft sigh she allowed to show, seeming tired and somewhat defeated from treking the lands with several pups in tow.

"Hush young ones," he cooed gently, nudging each of the six small heads and smiled head only snapping up as a harsh growl escaped Gem and she disappeared into the bushes, the rattling and yelping of two following.

"Gem!" he cried with shock, moving himself between the trees and the pups and stood heavily on defence, unsure if he should try and help her or make sure the pups stayed safe.

Taking small strides back, he ordered the pups into the small, empty rabbit warren to hide while he tried to help their eldest sister.

"Gem!" he cried again with worry, a growl echoing in his deep chest as he tried to help warn off this black and oddly green marked brute. But it was useless, seeing as Gem had finally managed to get rid of him. Hurrying to her side, he nuzzled it gently and licked at the weeping wounds, anger billing in his chest as his warm brown orbs glared in the direction he had disappeared.

"Are you alright?" he asked sounding calmer then he felt, freezing slightly and blinked in shock at her words "why would he want to kill me?"

"Male wolves will kill to win a female who they want, Agorae," she replied. "You need not worry about me. I was not about to just stand there and let him kill you. Especially not that bastard of a poison wolf Soul Render."

She sighed. "I've fought too many times for him to have gained an advantage over me."

The softness of his pelt rubbed against her cheek as he continued to gently clean her wounds, glad that she had not tried to push his advances away. He adored this beautiful she-wolf, a love so true that he could no longer even remember that she-wolf he had once claimed love for. She was nothing but a distant memory of his past.

"Well, he is gone now," he commented, gazing into the trees with a slow scan to check for danger, his nose wriggled to find the scent but was only able to trace the weak disappearing scent with the wind.

Sighing he nudged her gently towards the pups.

"The kids are in the den over there....we need to find another place to rest."

She called the others and they came out carefully, some of them were frightened. "Its all right all of you, the troubles gone. I sent him running." Just like she always had when Drannor went hunting. She smiled at him. If it was one thing she was good at, it was protecting those who were with her, especially those who couldn’t defend themselves or who were in no condition to do so.

“I did not want him hurting you, so I chose to fight. He was not expecting it.” She laughed. “He’ll think twice about attacking you around me again.

"I'll be fine!" he insisted, helping the young wolves from their hiding place and nudged them towards the opening clearing where they could muck about once more. He had always adored young pups.

"I'll be fine!" he insisted once more "I'm more worried about you!"

He took a dive and nuzzled her side gently "I...I honestly don't think I could live without you anymore...you are my white angel, my saviour," he sighed, hoping that she would not break his already fragile heart.

She chuckled as she heard his words. "As long as you choose to be here, I welcome you,” she replied. She smiled at him, sniffing the air. “You need to learn to fight like a wolf though before you can protect anyone. Right now, you’re as weak as any of my siblings.”

She smiled, sniffing about for a moment. She glared at the green on the dirt. “See this?” she asked. “Had he touched me with his claws the poison here would have killed me.”

The young brutes nose sniffed as he recoiled from the foul scent, rubbing his nose with his paw to rid the smell.

"That is...purtrid," he muttered and licked her cheek once more before adding with a soft smile "I am glad you are unharmed...and I shall learn to fight, I shall become your protector. Not the other way around."

He wanted to prove he was good enough to be a wolfs mate. He wanted to be strong and powerful enough that no male would never look at her or try and steal her heart, for the fear of his name would etch onto their hearts. He wanted to show her that she could relax around him...show her true inner self.

OOC; can we make it that she'll have him around as a 'friend' and will live on his land seeing as he 'owns' it but she doesnt want a mate quiet yet, seeing as she is the one doing all the protecting. XD I have a plot in mind...

She chuckled. "Until you've recovered though, I will continue to defend my own life, Agorae." Not to mention him at the moment, until said thing had happened for him. He was one that she knew she could trust at the moment. Though she was a lone wolf with all her siblings, they were learning to fight already, and that was a helpful thing. She knew who would be good hunters, who would be good fighters, or both or none.

She smiled at him, licking his cheek. "I will remain here though, unless a time comes when I feel I should move on." One she hoped would never come to pass. He had been one that interested her greatly, even now, when he was already unable to fight back. She enjoyed his company.

Worry tugged at his heart at a possible mention of her leaving. She couldn't leave, everything inside him protested at the mere thought.

"We'll see," he said gesturing more towards the center of the lands seeing as they were still on the borders "we better continue, were at the borders..."

She chuckled, pulling his ear gently. “We’ll see,” she echoed his words she with a smile at him. “Come on then.” She laughed and then bounded forwards on light feet, despite having just fought. It seemed this she-wolf had plenty of energy left over.

She was happy here in this new unseen before land, and though it was strange, soon she would know every part of is as well as she knew her own paws. She was eager to get to exploring.

With a very dog like grin, he bounded after the young she-wolf, nose posied artfully in the air for any future dangers. He wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.

Moments passed, or it might of been hours, Agorae had no clue, but surely a small den appeared in the distance. Hidden by the natural ferns of the wild yet open enough to allow the dappled droplets of sunlight within it's cover rested before him. And even he, the farm dog, knew it to be the perfect home.

"How's this?" he questioned the white fae with a proud smile "look like home?"

Gem

The nose stayed on the ground as they moved, she would have to go and hunt soon, and she was checking to see who else was in the land around them as they walked. Mainly birds and other creatures, no wolves or horses, it seemed. How peculiar that was at the moment. She was so used to seeing other wolves and horses around. And where had Soul Render hidden? That was something that worried her.

“It is beautiful,” she replied. She smiled, her tail wagging at him. “It is a lot like the place I originally come from, things seem to be in the same places.”

He grinned, scanning the cave enterence before hesiantly entering to seemingly empty rock. Leading the pack of pups inside, he settled them down before pacing back towards the beautiful golden form of Gem.

"Really? How odd...this land has been empty it seems since I named it. Well, other then that...poison wolf," he sighed and nuzzled her throat gently "are you sure your okay?"

She looked around her once more. They had all been eager to rest, her siblings. She sighed, looking about the area they were in. She knew there was something about this land that felt like dejavu for her. And it was not to do with Soul Render.

"I'll be fine. I might go and hunt, I'll bring a few rabbits back or something," she replied.

He nodded his head, but couldn't keep the worry tugging at his heart as she mentined hunting alone.

"Did you want some company? Your siblings will be fine, they are all safe and resting.....?" he suggested, not wanting her to be alone.

"I will be fine. No one would dare to attack me, not when they know that I have been able to beat that particular wolf," she replied. The birds were already spreading that word.

He nodded slowly, worry still building in the deepest pits of his heart.

"Of course....just stay safe," he whispered before withdrawing and wandering back into the depths of their new home to watch over the sleeping pups, wondering and hoping that sometime soon he could have his own.

She smiled at him lightly. "I will stay safe, you can count on that," she replied. She smiled and then bounded off in to the surrounding lands. How far would she go this time? She was not sure, but she would find what they needed and come back.

He ploped himself down on the hard floor with a restless sigh, watching the resting pups as they stirred in their slumber and couldn't help but feel something was going to go wrong.

It did not take her long to hunt down a deer and kill it. She then began to drag the deer home, towards her den. She smiled as she reached the entry, lowering her kill to the ground.

The soft approach of paws had his dozing form on his feet in an instant, his smaller head poked out from the enternce, breathing a sigh of relief as her beloved form came into view.

"Your back," he whispered, relief clear in his tone.

"And I am as fine as I was before I left," she replied. She smiled at him. "Though I am surprised by your concern." She laughed as she spoke. "I did not have to go far, and i am used to bringing back rather large animals for my family. what with all the hungry members of the family."

She smiled at him, nudging at the deer.

Instead of taking a bite as his stomach willed him to, he shrugged his shoulders tightly.

"I...I had a bad feeling. It just isn't settling right today," he sighed and gestured for her to start eating "I'll get the kids, they'll be hungry if they don't eat soon."
