Rosella

Wandering in the wind of vanity and naivety...in an endless cloud of unawareness. Who merely cared about intelligence though, when one had the most dazzling form of all the creatures on earth? Who bothered to revel in excellent leadership when one had everything else handed to them upon a silver platter? Everything, of course was handed to her, for she was superior to all. All that she touched was undeserving of that touch of the lovely ebony fae. Like a shadowed rose she was, reaching to the sunlight to strive in a kingdom of all her own. No one could possibly stop her from fulfilling her dreams.

Standing upon a tall ridge, she sang her song of freedom and of joy upon what she thought was a beautiful valley. Rearing and shrilly calling her call of ownership over the terrain, she knew that she was now the true queen. "This land is now mine. I name this undiscovered palace of mind the Floral Grassland," she said, loud enough for all to hear for miles. What a good queen she made.

Every stranger would visit the Floral Grassland, even though there was not a flower in sight for many a mile. The name simply just sprang to her like a vision from the gods - she just simply could not ignore it. From afar, she spotted a fae, rather large in stature trudging through the terrain as if destiny called her to the place where she would finally be. Perhaps, she was trying to challenge her for HER land? If so, the fae would have to leave immediately. "Get out of my land, trespasser! You don't look very nice. This is only a land of flowers and for those that love flowers," she said, tossing her dished skull violently.

Armarria

It had been so many nights of travel that I thought my pillars were going to fall off - and I hoped they did. I was tired of walking. I mean, what if there was nothing actually here that was worth my while? Unlike the disgusting terrains before this one, the soil was barren and there were no trees. Really, I didn't know what to think. I wasn't even sure that there were any others in the land. If it was just me, maybe the rest of the world would just leave me alone - I really hated being bothered. Especially by those that weren't like me and didn't understand me. Most creatures seemed to live in a different world than me.

My harks pricked as I heard something in the far distance. Great...it seemed like I had indeed found some unfortunate soul that seemed to have ventured into the same terrain as I had just walked into. Wow...was all I could think when I heard her rear in the distance. Didn't she know? Us mares were not meant to lead - some even thought that we were not capable killers. Those were simply immature and uninformed.

"Tresspasser?" I asked, comically, nearly chuckling at her words. "I have no desire to take your place...but they might," I said, nearly dying of laughter as I looked to the hellions that were giving them bad looks from the distance. Clearly, the ivory ruler of the land was not impressed with us and our antics. I found her utterly disturbing and far to peppy to be around for long. I didn't even know if I could survive one day around her if she was the leader. Hell, I couldn't stand to spend one day around her if she was the poorest rank in the herd - she was so damn annoying.

Then she spoke again. "Did you know I was the most beautiful horse in the world?" she asked me, and I simply just shook my skull in disbelief. "No..." I murmured, ignoring her naive behaviors. She acted like a child. When..could the fae be tortured? Surely, there had to be someone here..

The Floral Grasslands? How pathetic. Though Hydrus had done nothing, Schnelldrache was already making his way toward them, powerful muscles rippling under his glorious chestnut coat. She was so vain and yet the other seemed to have some sense. He strode out towards them. “I am sorry, fae, but this land is already claimed by another. You have no right to claim this land, for it is called, Danger Gully.”

He circled around them both, taking them in. Sure he was not like them, but they would do just fine. “What are your names, you two lovely fillies?”

PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptySun Feb 10 2013, 13:19

I watched as the ebony fae turned to me as I approached steadily, not wavering with fear nor with any decisive movement. It really wasn't my place to interfere with the little claiming spree that the unimpressive, fragile looking creature presented. Yet, I could simply not help myself from snickering incoherently about the calling she placed upon this lifeless valley-type terrain. There was surely nothing floral nor vivid about this place, and in my mind, I thought of it as a terrain of no hue. No trees seemed to spurt from the ground, as if the environment around them disallowed it. Fine my me.

Finally, someone came to talk some sense into the deranged fae - it was about time. She had really been getting on my nerves lately, but that was particularly easy to do considering my background. "Stupidity.." I murmured to myself quietly. Personally, I couldn't see how she could have noticed that this land was claimed - it was teeming with lurking eyes in the shadows of darkness. It was my kind of place.

"Greetings," I replied to him, less that impressed that he did not greet me like I should be. The other fae simply stood obstinate to him, pinning her harks like a small child would to her father. "My name is great! You can't tell me that I can't claim this land. It's obvious you are not the leader!" yelled the ebony fae, rearing up as if she was to strike him. All that was going to get her is claimed and forced, I thought to myself. It was obvious that this stag didn't mess around when it came to dissidence. After she had stopped screaming a moment, I decided I could reveal my name. "I am Armarria, by the way, a trained assassin," I said easily under my large build.

It was no use in hiding anything I noticed. It would give them more respect for me if I just told them the truth. The other fae said ," I am Sunshine, a trained hellion killer. I've murdered kings and queens and princes and princesses," she said. It was obvious that that was not her name, and I could tell that she was lying about the other parts. I knew my kind when I saw them, and she was simply petty.

“Shut up! A vain selfish creature like you who seems to think everyone revolves around her is a pathetic excuse for a horse. Especially one who show no respect to her betters!” Schnelldrache hissed at the stupid littler mare, aiming a kick at her chest in irritation with his hard wet hooves. Hopefully she would have the sense to shut up now.

His eyes though looked at the heavier mare and he almost smiled. He was rather impressed by her indeed. “Greetings to you, Armarria, Schnelldrache I would be.” He eyed them both again. This was going to be interesting.

An Uneventful Meeting... Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptySun Feb 10 2013, 19:55

It was in my place and best interest to say quiet when the stag became angered with the rather stupid, vain fae - but for some reason, I could hardly contain my laughter. It was far too entirely of interest that she was being reprimanded after so many obvious years of getting everything she wanted the moment she wanted it. Usually, I didn't dabble in humor, unless someone was being caused extreme pain, but I could say she definitely deserved what she got. It was a shame he didn't kick her in the head!

Standing slightly away from the scene, I saw as she was struck in the chest. A dribble of blood came from the kick mark, which looked horribly swollen in her chest - I felt no sorrow of course. It was exactly what I was waiting for. I thought it was a well deserved move, but I dared not say anything to the stag, for it was not yet my place to say anything. Perhaps, when I gained valor in the herd for my bravery and excellent spying methods I would be more daring to speak to the leader. For now, I would not do so, for I knew not him and he knew not me except for the name I carried.

"Ow, you dumb bastard!!" screamed the ebony fae from across the plain as she staggered back. "I'm not joining your herd. Forget it. I have better things to do. You are an idiot anyways," she laughed, flicking her whipcord in his face. Bad move, I thought to myself as I watched her. Was she actually going to attack him?

I watched as the ebony mare reared up and lashed her hooves out at his flank. She wasn't very powerful though, so she wouldn't hurt him. After the smaller fae backed off for a moment, I spoke again. "It is good to be in your presence. What a deranged creature that fae is.." I mentioned shaking my skull. "I understand that you are looking for those with certain talents. I believe mine may be of use to you if you allow me to exert it," I smirked slightly. "You see, what I do is spy. I can find anything out about your enemies and foes. Easily. Or simply kill them if you need me to," I finished my small speech. I hoped he would understand.

“You think you can tell me you’re not coming into my herd? Think again, fae, because in Danger Gully, which si where you currently stand by the way, mares have no say in the way they are treated!” He let the kick land, not even flinching before striking out with one leg and then grabbing her withers in his teeth. He lifted her from the ground and shook her roughly before dropping her again.

He turned to look at the other mare. “A spy you say… hmm… I’ll consider it,” he said. She had some brains at least.

PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptySun Feb 10 2013, 20:21

Clear as day, I could see the defiance in her features as she struck him with the blow - she didn't see what I saw though. He was enraged, and he was the last creature I wanted to cross when angry. Intently, I watched as he picked her up by the withers and shook her harshly before letting her slump to the ground. Now, even more blood was flowing from two gnash marks upon the top of her back just below where her tassels ended. I didn't feel sorry for her; actually, I wished I could deliver the blow to her more than anything.

"I can do whatever I want!" she screamed, staggering to her feet. "And.I'm.LEAVING!" she said, galloping off the best possible way she could. I chased after her easily, grabbing her by the top of the neck and dragging her back to the stag, kicking and flailing and saying,"LET ME GO, you BITCH!!" I really didn't care though, for it just proved how strong I could be as I dragged her back to him dropping her at his feet. Of course, she staggered back to her feet to have a go at me, but I wouldn't have any of that and kicked her in the side to silence her. Now the only thing that could be heard from her lips was sobbing as tears rolled down her cheeks even more.

I smiled at her; I wanted her to think I was the devil. I wanted her to think I was a demon from hell that would devour her if she ever crossed me. And she better never cross me because I was stronger than most grown stallions and wasn't afraid of anyone. I had respect for the herd leader...but I was not afraid of anyone.

He laughed as he watched the bigger mare bringing the squirming little pathetic mare back to him. Sneering down at the mare when she landed in a heap at his feet. “You think you have a say, dear one? Well, here is what I have to say on the matter.”

She wouldn’t get far before he was suddenly behind her, rearing up and forcing her to bear a foal. “You’d better prey for a strong foal, or else,” he hissed in her ear before dropping back to the ground. For only a strong foal of his was worth anything to him.

An Uneventful Meeting... Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptySat Feb 23 2013, 18:03

Apathetic was I to the feelings of the weaker fae before me, and I actually enjoyed causing someone so stupid, so petty some pain. This fae would certainly see more of it if she stuck around this part of the world; and if she escaped, well, good for her. I preferred to stay in the darker reaches of the world, myself, for they were much more suited to my line of work. And a stag that allowed me to do what I was born to do...even better.

Now, she was really crying I could tell, and I stood in front her as he forced her so that she could not escape. I also wanted a child of my own to raise, if only for the purpose of torturing her child. I snickered to myself as I pondered the thought - a foal just for the evil of it. "Stay still, worm!" I murmured harshly as I held her in place as he finished her off. Soon, the ebony 'beauty' would be fat and pregnant...she would never escape. "Leave me alone, you wench.." growled the smaller fae, and as she said that, I couldn't help but to kick her in the shoulder. Blood ran from where I had kicked her...the king would not discipline me, for she had deserved it.

I decided that I would also like a child by this charismatic stag. I had been awaiting a worthy sire for a while, and it just so happened that he was here, before me.

"If you don't mind, I would also like a child. You shall not need to worry about mine being strong," I said, gleefully awaiting the day my foal would crush her's. I could already tell that there was going to be a strong competition and many fights between myself and Rosella. I hated her already.

Finally, I heard her say,"Shut up, dumb stallion. You have no jurisdiction over me. I will leave tonight if I wish and you cannot stop me. You will never go anywhere in this world. Those like Satan, Exile, Hydrus and Frenzy will always be above you, idiot," she sneered. I just looked away as I knew that he would be very angry about this.

An Uneventful Meeting... Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptySat Feb 23 2013, 21:32

Schnelldrache laughed as he heard her still defiant words. How interesting that she still had the courage to try and defy him? Especially in a land where stallions reigned supreme?

“Did I ever say I sought to be better than anyone else? Did I ever state that I wanted to be the leader of all the lands here? No,” he replied. By the end of his words, his voice had gone from cheerful and mocking to quiet and deadly. Or maybe threatening was a good word for it.

“You may be able to outrun a horse bound to the land, but a kelpie is faster in water than anything else. And I am part hellion, therefore I am swift and enduring on both land and in the water.”

It was a warning to both of the mares before him, but more so to Rosella, she was so stupid, she needed to be threatened it seemed. They would be punished if they dared to do such a thing.

He looked at the taller mare. “If that is what you wish, then I will.” He could see the rivalry between these two. It was something that amused him greatly at the moment.

An Uneventful Meeting... Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptyFri Mar 01 2013, 13:02

This was far too boring - why couldn't he just kill the rotten fae and be done with it? Obviously, to stags, torture was much more fun and compelling than just ending the miserable life of a slave. Of course, even I understood why he would keep this one alive just for the merriment of bantering with. Although quite naive, she was very pretty, and certainly, bragging rights were a large portion of being a king, at least to my understanding. The only thing I was sure of in this particular case was who was going to win - and it would be the stag; and if it wasn't the stag that won, surely one of the other stags in this land would calm her riot down quick, fast, and in a hurry.

"And you won't ever be a king," chimed Rose, giving him a bratty, unconcerned look as blood dripped from her sides. I wasn't sure - maybe her child would be quite strong. Certainly, she never seemed to back down, even if she was outnumbered greatly. I admired her in a way, for challenging this stag that had taken her first-born right to her and fighting for that which belonged to her. In a way, I also felt that she deserved what she got. She came in this land without knowing that she would be claimed. Truly? How could a fae come to Danger Gully and expect to be left unscathed? I felt that she was pitiful. "And you are not a kelpie. Only half. Your father could outrun you on land and in sea. You are weak compared to the others. Weak. Neither hellion NOR water horse," I heard her laugh, knowing it was a bad move for her to say that.

I knew where my home was now. The only thing a spy needed was a haven beneath her feet and a sky above her head to look to. I wasn't planning on leaving; this I had decided before I even came here. I knew what my fate was the moment I stepped foot into the gully; I can only commend the stag for not forcing me out-rightly but awaiting my consent before he did the deed. I welcomed it either way. There needed to be more like me in the world.

The only thing I wished to be was superior to this cry-baby bitch...and a foal on the ground would make my ranking in the herd higher than the usual slave. I would be able to practice my spying techniques, I was sure, if I gave him what he wanted. "Yes, it is surely what I want," I said, turning around. I awaited him to do what must be done so that I could fight her with my heart and soul when both children were born.

PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptyFri Mar 01 2013, 13:30

That was taking things too far indeed. “I never said I wanted to be better than my father, you idiot!” he roared at her. Before suddenly sending a hard kick at her, one that would knock her over with the mere strength he put behind the blow. He was not pleased at all.

He leapt at her, biting and kicking at her in a terrible rage. Oh he would not kill her, but he would certainly give her a good beating. The other mare he ignored in his rage, not wanting to deal with anyone but this pathetic creature who thought she was better than him!

"I never said I wanted to be a king over more than my own herd, you blithering idiot."

**

Onesimus realised that now would be a good time for him to come out and introduce himself to the two mares that his lord had managed to collect for himself. The powerfully built guard stallion stood watching the commotion, waiting for Schnbelldrache to calm down eventually, before stepping out to join them.

"Ah Onesimus. About time you got here," Schnelldrache said, looking at him. "Why don't you see to it that that, imbisile is taken into our part of the Gully?"

"Of course," Onesimus replied, striding forwards towards Rosellla.

An Uneventful Meeting... Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptySat Mar 02 2013, 13:25

This was not a pleasant sight, even for me, who hated this mare and loved the darkness even more. I was not one for blood and gore, but I was more-so in favor of spying behind the shadows. Not actually killing someone outright, and if I had to make a kill, it would be done without a sound. The victim hardly ever had a time to scream when she ended their pitiful life. Easily. Quietly. Perfectly. I knew this fae had taken it far too far with the stag for her to even remotely come out of this little battle of words unscathed. Already, blood was running down her once shiny pelt and her sides were heaving with difficulty breathing.

I even cringed as the stag kicked her in the side, sending her flying over about four feet where she laid unconscious. Finally, after a few moments, she rose to her feet, blood caked to the side of her face. She looked like something out of a horror film as she rose, attempting to stand with wobbly feet. I just stood there, seeing her weakness of form truly as she stood. If she was in a real fight, I knew she would perish.

"Get away from me!" I heard her say, kicking out at the younger stallion as he came her way. She was really thrashing now, attempting to kick the golden stag in the skull and kill him - she certainly held her breed's trait for excellent endurance. My child would be much stronger than hers though, and I would prove the our herd stag and the lead that I was not to be messed with. I was to be admired, even though I had no characteristics of hellions nor of kelpies. Nor of Ice hellions. I couldn't keep but listening to her foul insults as she spoke disrespectfully to those above her. "You are nothing but an idiot, Schnelldrache!" she screamed, throwing a kick at his head. I couldn't help but smirk at her futile attempts.

Still, I awaited the stag to do the deed for me. I wanted to conceive so that I could have my child at the same time as hers - so that they could compete to be excellent or to be weak. Only the strongest would live here, anyways.

Onesimus snorted, dodging the kick. "You really think I will be that easy to dissuade?" he asked, glaring at the fiery mare. "I'm surprised you can even stand, after that beating, fae. Let alone try and attack me."

He kept his head well out of her reach because of it. There was no chance he was going to allow himself to be killed by such a foolish mare. He walked forwards with the intention of making her back away. If this worked, he would be able to force her toward their part of the terrain.

**

Schnelldrache walked back over to Amarria, who so far out of the two of them was at least worth his time. That other mare was certainly a fool, and she did not seem to realise the mistakes she was making at the moment. He reared, and then did what she had asked of him.

An Uneventful Meeting... Empty
PostSubject: Re: An Uneventful Meeting...   An Uneventful Meeting... EmptyWed Mar 20 2013, 12:29

OOC: Fast forwarding...

I clambered to the highest peak atop the terrain, a nip in my sides starting to arouse as I continued on my way. My pink muzzle nestled only the air as my massive, burly form moved with the wind as it swirled around the mounts. I had felt weighted down in my journey away from the homeland, but now I felt a sense of pride as I glanced to the monster that moved swiftly beside me. She acted of royalty, and she could climb the hills like a mountain goat.

"Drachenfeuer," I murmured quietly, the filly looking up to me as I gave a slight nod of approval. Perhaps, she would be regal - and deadly. Oh, how she would be deadly like her own mother - the assassin. Assassin, yes, that was what they called me.

I sauntered over to the stag that had given me this child and looked back down to her. "Drachenfeuer, this is your father," I said as I introduced them. No sign of that black fae so far - maybe she died...or ran off somewhere. She would return, I knew, for she was bound psychologically to the terrain and physically to her leader. To all the wonders and sights that this land had to offer - she was bound until death.

Finally, I saw her coming over the hill - her child survived, and this in itself proved that the child was stronger than it seemed. A bay filly trotted by her side, curly tresses short, but I knew that one day the filly would be gorgeous. Beauty would not keep her alive here, though. I still didn't know the mother's name, but perhaps, this filly of hers would spill the beans.

As they came nearer, I heard the youthful one speak. She was strong minded and strong willed. "That is your father, Mtunwa. You shall hate him from this day on," she said to her child. Mtunwa looked confused though, for she was not sure why she should hate her father. "Hi," she said, a slight smile upon her lips as she looked before us all. "I am Mtunwa and this is my mommy Rosella!" she said happily, eyes glimmering with delight.

At this point, Rosella looked very angry. "Child, what have I told you about not telling them my name?!" she yelled to her child. "Now they can track us anywhere we go by name," she snorted, looking back to the stag with angry eyes. "You stay away from this child - she shall not be tainted!" yelled Rosella, clinging close to the child.
