Life is a current

Fading...

Like a Phantom

Nothing. Reality dawned like golden tendrils, tenderly piercing the dawn with rich hues of opal melted to a crisp gold. Torrents roared within, hardly ceasing with the ingenuity that dawned in relentless pools of ice, all knowing of mortification and of vividly living. Silver draped slight shoulders, chest tight with petty thoughts of security lingering behind walls of stone. Stone was the barrier between the real world and what life was supposed to be, which often varied in great margins.

Dignified nares prowled the terrain, kissers taking in each scent of the gale...or perhaps it was the silver foam of the waves crashing against the shore in the silver moonlight. Ponderous was she, mind stuck a million miles away in soft, warm clouds that listened and spoke not back a word of cynicism or doubt. It seemed that the world relished on what it could find in defect and what it could deem malignant to the security of 'their kind'. Did they not all share the same genetic make up - did not their chromosomes line in similar patterns when fusing to create something new? Mostly, was new as dangerous as the mounting terrors described by the uneducated made it out to be? All such good questions.

How odd the earth, the she compose the melodies that she had, made each one sing their own tune. Each note represented a thought, and each thought lead to a new idea, a new solution to an issue. Perhaps, some were irrelevant, but those that were true must ring clearly! Crescendos of the soul needed to occur, as the blessed hearts accepted what was true from what was false.

Truth and lie often fused, and as she glanced to the silver doused palm trees she hardly could tell if the beauty was capturing with its charms or whether it was true beauty. The secret of the rose's beauty did not come from her stillness nor her shades of hue but of what came from deep inside the soul and erupted with phrase. Did not the ocean wish to appeal to her, to lead her into perishing in this land of immense beauty? The heart of the terrain was its heart, yet rarely was a creature with a heart beautiful. Most were heartless.

Silence was her communicator, and she called with it, fading in and out of visible light as it rained down upon her. Lingering in the foam, she raised her delicate silvery skull, as if her soft tones would speak but dared they not. Malice was set in cold stone, within them from the moment they had been brought to her majesty, the earth and few had conquered its challenges. Doubtful it was that these cruel brutish things felt more than self pity and loathe for anyone who dared to intrude.

From afar, she saw a shape, muscular and lank in the far distance. Shadows made the image of it less visible, and quietly, she covered herself with the gift so that no mortal orbs could make her out as anything but a voice with no form.

Without him knowing, she approached, his golden form glinting in the moonlight. "I see you," she said, intensely as the ice-gray orbs, not visible to him glimmered with the slightest of interest. Wetting her lips with a few ripples of moon touched water, she rose, striding a bit closer to him. "You are used to having everything you see, I can tell," she laughed, gorgeous soprano vocals pouring from her lips. "Of course, it would be rude not to introduce myself," she said, quieting herself a bit before cutting to the chase.

Revealing her bodice of perfection, she smiled. "I am called Phantom."

Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira)   Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira) EmptyWed Mar 14 2012, 19:13

It was beautiful, this land of his.

Demitri stood proudly on one of the many cliffs overlooking the raging, silver-lit sea, flared nostrils taking in the fresh, salted sea-breeze as he once more reveled in the ownership of his claim. The cool wind stirred the silver-tipped palm trees along the coast of his land, sending the leaves fluttering and rustling softly.

It was, he mused, a good lullaby as any. Strange it may seem, but the gentle breeze whirling along his hocks, teasing through the tangles in his mane and the music of the symphony of lapping waves and rustling leaves soothed in immensely. Mayhap he was simply growing soft…his yearnings for another’s company had not surfaced for many, many seasons now. Not since he’d left the herd of his birth.

Sighing and snorting lightly, the golden stallion shook his head self-deprecatingly. The Lady Moon’s powers had indeed gotten to his head, it seemed. Turning it all topsy-turvy, inside-out. Moon-struck? Perhaps. But he wasn’t so foolish to believe that his present state of melancholy was caused by the haunting silvery sphere gliding along in the starry, midnight-hued sky.

Staring into the waves, he felt a change in the air, a prickling along his spine. Instantly, his head snapped up, amber eyes alert and sharp, as they scanned over the deceptively silent land. An intruder? Someone was here – he knew it. His dagger-keen eyes searched the silvery land, flitting from one end to the next, but not a single sign of the intruder he could find.

Restless, now, Demitri tossed his head uneasily, sending silver-touched strands of golden-sunlit hairs flying through the air. The stallion pawed at the ground, swiftly cantering down from the perilously steep cliff and onto flat ground, near a coconut tree that stood guard, like a sentinel. If it really was/i] an intruder, he sure didn’t want to be caught surprised up on that steep cliff, where only a small misstep could send him plummeting to his death.

[i]”I see you.”

The ethereal voice sent him spinning round, as his wide eyes looked, but could not see any trace of the nearby mare with the beautiful voice. It wasn’t rich, like some mare’s. It was… otherworldly. Silver moonbeams and distant stars. His eyes sparked with amber flames, as a small smirk curled about his jaw. Relaxing his muscles, but no less alert, Demitri tilted his head at a random direction, acknowledging the presence’s presence.

“Pity then, m’lady,” he muttered dryly. “You seem to possess the advantage between us two, for you can see me, but I can’t yet see you.” His voice was steel and silk, velvet and gravel all the once. His eyes periodically swept the land before him with his amber-hued eyes. His tossed his head, grinning inwardly at her next words.

“Am I?” he queried, faux innocence in his voice. “Perhaps. But no reward comes without hard work, my dear. I assure you, nothing gets handed to me on a silver platter.”

He turned sharply to his left, finally setting his eyes on the beauty that stood before him. Her beauty was outmatched only by the music of her voice. Starshine and moonbeams indeed. She was gorgeous, and her ice-blue eyes seemed to see right through him. Stunned by her beauty for a brief moment, Demitri quickly regained his bearings, smiling charmingly and bowing gracefully to the mare.

“Dearest Phantom, an honour indeed, for you to have graced me with your shining presence.” He was in a playful mood tonight, and it showed in his light, teasing voice. “Surely, my dear, such a beauteous creature such as yourself should know better than to walk into a claimed land unescorted? One might fear that the leader of the said land might claim you for himself,” he asked affably, a gleam in his amber eyes belaying his concerned tone.

Then a wide grin, as he gracefully walked nearer to the mare. “Oh, forgive me, darling, for my manners seem to have deserted me. Have you any business here?”

Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira)   Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira) EmptyThu Mar 15 2012, 15:31

Silence and solitude, two little animals moon led drank in his eyes...drank in those waters. Shadowed dreams lay in the sediment of the sands, deftly touching the stillness with her soft, delicate hands. Washing up upon her washed out features was the starlight of drudged centuries, bleed with the woe of a kind. The kind that entwines its long, spindly fingers, colder than death around the heart in a spiral until it was choked of all abilities to feel. To feel was not just to lie to oneself, but it was more significant - it was to believe.

If you opened your eyes, night opens shores of light, the grand dipper pouring some of the sunlight that held itself hostage 'neath the starry sky. In the secret kingdom of the water rising, it was falling from the center of the sky, raining down upon her like the pitter-patter against the ledges of caves. A tad of rock crumbled from the crisp edge, clattering rocks like bones scraping the depth of the chasm of rock below. A ritard of time and energy seemed to come to a halt as the form, firm with fibers drained itself of all motivation even for breath, if not only to look into the eyes of the stars and become lost in their intensity. To drift within the shadowed rushing waves, drowning out all sounds of life, of love, of heartbreak.

Even the beating heart that laid between layers and layers of flesh ceased its thunderous thumping for a moment as time stood still. Night time brings wetness to beaches on your soul...

Answers followed and lead her as questions guided their way through the neurological endings of her mind that connected to the world. Chills like the light, gentle touch of a spirit plundered down her spine sharply as her intelligent orbs probed her surroundings. Longing for a change - something to change the world, for wasn't all the grass and dirt mixture homogeneous? Perhaps, even they, themselves were one all of the same; but, well wouldn't that be boring?

A suit of golden sunlight washed over his bodice, and perhaps some would call him even the slightest trace of handsome. However, she saw not a difference between him and the wandering scraggly stags she had curled her lip in disgust at in her journeys. It could be that she found them repulsive due to the nature of their thoughts - or maybe it was just their usually nasty countenance that appalled her so from the common folk. So he wanted to play games with her? What a fatal error, for it just so happened to be that she was the master of games and always carried the spoils of intellectual battle.

"No one said that life was fair," she sighed, a twinge of a smile tugging at the gray upon her lips. Quietly, she wore a poker face, orbs like two shimmering pools of moonlight, where one could see their reflection as they saw themselves, yet not as others may see them. With a flick of her silken tassels, light became her form once more as she grinned to herself, masked by the facade of her gifts.

It was a shame that stags hardly caught on until it was entirely too late, yet with another flick of tassel, she was before him once more. Illusions to the mind confounded this brutal race that she had been categorized in since birth - what a tragedy that she had never really fit in. And so he seemed, fumbling to regain his train of thought as they spoke, only illuminated by the moon, in her shining valor and glory. Perhaps, she gave the gift of beauty to them, who took her gifts for granted. Hardly more than a glance she had received from the one like the sun, a bit too proud of his majesty.

"I don't have to worry about that, for no leader would make such a fatal mistake as that, would they? As for your concerns, they are met, as I am the guardian of myself," she paused, briefly, not out of nervousness but simply for effect. "Now, I don't believe that I have any business here, and I shall be on my way, unless you would rather me speak to you for a while," she murmured, bright orbs shining with mischief.

Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira)   Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira) EmptyWed Oct 17 2012, 00:52

She near shimmered into existence, the beautiful, fae creature. Demitri narrowed his golden eyes consideringly, as his eyes swept the mare’s pale body. His tail swept rhythmically from side to side, as the golden stallion huffed a little in laughter. “No one did,” he agreed peaceably, eyes glimmering good-naturedly, even as he stalked a little closer, strides firm and smooth, satin pelt glowing ethereally under the moonlight. “But we should allow ourselves some mediocre of leniency, shouldn't we? Or risk us all going mad from gloom and despair.”

From far away, a rumble of thunder sounded audibly, even above the crashing of waves against the shore. A strong wind blew, and the hairs on the stallion’s nape rose, even as his main and tail ruffled wildly in the wind.

“And cue the thunder and lightning,” he said dryly, eyes catching the other-worldly fae’s as he smirked at her. He shrugged nonchalantly, turning swiftly as trotting elegantly towards a tall beech tree, settling himself comfortably under it in preparation for rain. He quirked an inviting eyebrow at her, smirk widening slightly.

“You don’t know,” he shrugged. “There [i]would[/I surely be some stags eager to try on luck to such a beautiful fae. Not including myself, of course,” he said, winking at her, before erupting in laughter as he jerked his head in invitation once more.

“You may stay of course, since you desire it so badly,” Demitri allowed generously, smiling mischievously at her. “And it smells of rain. Surely you would not wish to be caught in a heavy downpour!”

(OOC: Oh man, I'm sorry! I've been training for the whole year to write stuff concise and to the point. No more literature-like stuff since I'm not taking it anymore D: I'll try to improve next post! Yours was gorgeous btw!

Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira)   Easy Come, Easy Go(Saphira) EmptyMon Oct 22 2012, 19:15

Isles of shimmering dapples hardly heeded to the laws of existence or of reality but seemingly made their own dimension shot brutally against the deep charcoal hues that touched the edges. Oceans in her mind seemed to move rocked coves that held darkest desires and memories into the plain of oblivion. Where there was once crimson, cerulean had overtaken, transforming the scenery in visions clouded with ill-fated romance into something more worldly - more peaceful. Her pools of ebony were like two moons floating in crystal clear waters, rippling from the smallest of heart beats. Heart beats that threatened to cease. Heart beats that were meaningless in most circumstances. But were they in this case?

Perhaps, you could call them rays - from the goddess moon caressing her with the starlit beauty...as she felt one with the galaxies shining above them. It felt like they were dancing above her, in a paired dance of give and take, ebb and flow. The beauty of this dance that the stars and they...as well participated in was that one did not know the mind of the other, so she nonchalantly nodded her petite skull to his words. A twitch of a smile might have made its way into the equation if she had allowed it to, but her heart did not allow her to.

Her pools laughed to him, calling him teasingly as her expressions remained subtle. Not even a wavelength of thought was portrayed in the vague look she possessed; it even seemed that, perhaps, they were simply out for a talk of the war. Simply visitors to one another - but that was what they were, correct? Neither of them had met before, and yet this stag believed he possessed all the knowledge under the sun about her. His pride sauntered up to her and tapped her on the shoulder, seemingly knowing her instantaneously. Little of what he said was correct, yet she spared her time for him. Why was that?

A godly chuckle escaped her perfect maw as she heard his next words. "Only those that choose to be ridden with gloom and despair are," she replied simply. "If you chose to, you could see that there is always a chance you may fail, yet that means that there is always a chance to win," she added, hinting at a tied matter that was not at all related to the topic he had chosen to speak of. Clouds above saw this perfection befalling to them both from above, and they dissolved and reformed. Oh, how she wished their life was like that of a cloud, for they never saw one single piece of the earth twice and they were reborn many times. They experienced the world that they all shared, except from their lofty haven. They saw love, hate, and despair many times - but she woulds see love only once.

Skies laid themselves to rest on the evening gales long ago, and the chilly, darkened night took hold of them. From afar, it seemed even the chill of the gully seeped into the terrain from the poison stag that had attempted to inhabit it. How foolish he was. Many a stag were weak that she had come upon, but Demetri did not seem to share that quality, though he sometimes made clear his childish nature.

And if she could just close her eyes...for a moment, she would see a river...and massive and wonderful current flowing from within her. It was coming closer to the surface, where it raged a cascading waterfall of a multitude of emotions. It flowed forward, until it reached a pooling of water, where all emotions ran cold and dry. Where it was not the fact that they were no longer felt, but it came to the simple conclusion that they no longer wished to be felt. Even they wished to slumber in peace. Night always did bring its stillness to beaches in her soul.

Calling of the sea gulls had lured her here, but what would keep her in this terrain? This beautiful land for the living? War and famine would drive her to rockier shores.

"Perhaps it is you that desire me here so badly," she said, neutrally staring him down. If he wanted her to stay, he would have to admit it - after all, good kings were not supposed to be children when it came to saying what they wanted.

OOC: it's all good (: i have tons of muse no matter the length for her
