Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) Empty
PostSubject: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptySat Jan 14 2012, 10:25

Sands shifted a swayed a bit, as pillars moved choppily against them, causing the sand to scatter up around her shimmering bodice as she tread closer. Bright rays of sun blared down upon her, the desert as arid as ever...just as she had remembered it to be. Pillars of stone laid up against the mountainous dunes, crumbling under the nearly unbearable temperatures of the desert. Skies, blue like the ocean rolled with clouds of cirrus above her skull like the waves crashed over an oyster shell. It was beautiful here, like the fumes that bellowed within her heart for her true love.

Snowy hues trickled over the terrain, bouncing as each of the three pillars plodded upon the ground. It was soft...and less impact was expended upon the soft sands. Quick breaths she took in, huffing as she reached the top of a massive dune...thinking, thinking about time and its true meaning. Lilac orbs took in the sight and watched - watched for him as a wolf watches for her mate. Dapples glimmered as the bright sun shone down upon her - and she glistened like the morning dew. So pure and beautiful.

Life was neither beautiful nor light...not without him, for he was the key to her happiness...her joy. Why? Why did it happen, she asked herself so many times during the day as she recalled his features. They were surely frightening, intimidating to most, if not all that knew of him. Lilus couldn't help but think of them in an endearing fashion even though in public, she acted as if she feared him. It was because she would do anything, anything for him. A friend had told her that it was a sick fascination and that love for their kind was impossible and it would be the death of her. If life was without him and death was cradled in his lifeless orbs...then death be it. How did this come to be, this love, this undeniable feeling that arose deeply within at just the sheer thought of his features?

Part of him was standing beside her, small and frail with youth. "Atticus," she whispered, nudging him easily. The colt seemed intimidated by the lands..intimidated with how it made him feel - powerful. Flames upon his tresses flared up as he breached from shade to sun, the heat within him swelling, swelling with his heritage. As he coughed from the sand, his fangs showed for a moment, sharp and long, sticking from his mouth like weapons of death.

Corus she thought, scorning herself for doing so. The colt could not help that he was Corus' grandson, and even though they resembled each other so much, they could not possibly be one.

Lilus, looked down to her son, lilac orbs dancing with admiration - the putting together of her and Trainwreck into something so beautiful. Both ebony and ivory danced upon Atticus, flames trailing behind him in an array of hues both light and dark. He was something...unique, different. But just as she was beginning to get wrapped up in thought about her lover and her son, she saw him. Him. For the first time in months, she saw him.

Being the inquisitive and fearless creature she was, she approached him confidently, Atticus striding beside her and stood there. "Hello, Trainwreck," she said neutrally, love filling her to the very brims. It was too soon to say that he actually cared for her. For all Lilus knew, he could have found someone else. For all she knew, he could simply want her as a slave...she could truly be a piece of scum to him... Only time would tell, she supposed, and that answer didn't seem to be too far away.

Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptySat Jan 14 2012, 23:48

There was sand as far as the eye could see. Beautiful, dancing red, constantly moving with the breeze. The sun never ceased to shine, the moon never stopped rising. Clouds barely graced this land with their presence, and yet somehow creatures still managed to dwell here. They were hardy, if not cold-blooded, and could withstand nearly everything this desert land had thrown at them.

At the heart of the land was the oasis, small yet lovely, with a cluster of trees and an underground spring that poked up from under the bloody ground and bubbled over rocks, pooling at the base of a large poplar tree which provided most of the shade for the entire oasis. The center of this oasis, standing next to the giant poplar, with his front hooves in the shallows of the pond, stood the king of this great desert land. Trainwreck.

His black and white pelt shone with health and cleanliness, almost seeming to glitter in the sunlight. The king was a marvel, larger than any average equine, nearly doubling their size at twenty-five hands. His black, marble-like eyes were alert, aware of everything around him. There was nothing his radar ears and x-ray eyes would miss, especially with his mind touching every living, breathing creature that was within his mind's reach.

And then his attention was solely on one presence. A mare. Not just any mare. Her. The only mare in his life to make his heart warm. Lilus. The king almost smiled, but stopped, his eyes shifting to make sure no one was around, reaching with his mind as well to be sure absolutely no one was around. And then he smiled.

There was another with her, a young mind, possibly the foal that he had blessed her with many moons ago. A slimmer of joy made his heart quiver. It didn't surprise him one bit when he velvet voice reached his ears. He knew she was behind him, her beautiful white bodice gleaming in the desert sun. To Trainwreck, he did not even notice that she was missing a front leg. It didn't bother him. His love for her was unconditional, even though he didn't know why.

It was strange, the feelings that Lilus stirred in him. He had not even felt the same feelings for his mother when he was a colt. No sense of love had ever entered his heart, body, or mind. Lilus was the first to bring it to him.

The king reached his nose forward and brushed it against her cheek briefly, before pulling himself back to his straight stance and looking at the colt, trying to remain as formal as possible in case another wandered by at any moment.

He wanted to smile, to say how proud he was, and how impressed he was with their creation, but instead he said, "Tell me your name, son," and looked down at the colt with his empty black eyes. He didn't want to scare his son, but he also did not want any in his lands to know he was treating any other than a hellion differently than a slave.

"I'm glad you made it safely," Trainwreck mentally thought to Lilus, happiness shining in his eyes as he looked in to her beautiful lilac eyes.

Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptySun Jan 15 2012, 15:12

Hot sand, boiling hot crept up upon his hocks but he said no words, for it didn't really hurt...yet there was pain. It was an odd sensation but dull, and it brought not life to his orbs as he studied the features of his father. This place made him feel powerful like no other - there had to be something about it, something he could not decipher at this time. It was oddly welcoming to him, the flames upon his neck growing with each inhalation he took..as each bit of the land's atmosphere passed through his nostrils.

"Atticus," he replied proudly, his childish voice trying to mimic a great leader's in power and majesty. The emptiness in his father's eyes didn't seem to bother him in the least, for some reason. Flames of ivory and ebony swirled together, the ebb and flow shown as plain as day upon his two-toned pelt. Warmth rose from him, as did in the case of most hellions - but he, he was not a true hellion. Only by nature and of strength did he possess any of the qualities his father looked for...and he had even heard from many of the wanderers that he would not be considered...worthy by his father for not being of the purest blood. Mother had seemed discouraged at first, but some unwavering strength that he had seen within her in that moment told him that there was more to the situation than was being told.

Little did he comprehend, and there was little he wished to know. Youth was a funny time of innocence where one did not care for the dramatic roles of the world and where little existed beyond being playful and finding out who you really were. Somehow Atticus felt as if his role was more significant, even as a child but didn't understand the entire picture.

-

Light, lilac orbs stood absorbed in his obsidian coals, a soul growing down deep within them. Most saw only a merciless killer when they looked into his eyes, but she saw a something different. Someone different. They would all call her crazy if she dared breathe a word of her adoration...and god only knows how far she would go to protect his reputation and his prosperity...if only he could know what she felt.

There had never been anything so strong growing inside her as there was today, and all the pent-up feelings felt like they were going to spill out. Nothing had changed. Just as they world had continued spinning, she had kept caring for him and he for her...at least she thought so. Their love was not of the verbal kind, but they just kind of knew it. How? She didn't know, but for some reason, she could feel his mind wrapped around hers so tightly, perfection dripping from the very seams that were sown in her heart. They were one together...and only half when they were apart - broken.

Conditions in the desert were hardly acceptable for most creatures, but she rather cherished the arid environment. There was plenty water here, plenty food - not to mention the fact that one did not know if they were truly one of the fittest, the strongest until they had endured the roughest conditions. It was a true test of strength and cunning. Not to mention..it was definitely worth her time to stay here, if only to see Trainwreck every day. Of course, no matter how much she longed for him to show love to her publicly, it could not happen. No one would think of their great leader the same if he cared for a 'non-hellion' fae with a mud-blood colt...would they?

How she wanted to tell him how she missed him so. How she wanted to tell him how she had felt all along, to demand that he tell the rest of them how things were in reality, how they were going to be together for the rest of their lives. But something made her stop in her tracks. Instead she smiled slightly, sweetly. "It's funny how you can make me feel," she said softly, wanting more than anything to rest her skull lightly upon his shoulder but could not in fear that someone was watching. I love you...is what I really have wanted to say all along her mind echoed and secretly hoped he would hear it within his. Could he hear her thoughts? Lily pondered it....but couldn't come to a consensus either way.

Lovingly, she stared into his deep eyes of coal. "I am too...I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't seen you again..." she whispered softly, knowing that his heightened senses would pick it up.

-

"What is this?" a bit of snickering laughter erupted from her delicate maw, jowls upon it sharp enough to rip up a thick pound of flesh. Evil caressed her shimmering icy orbs, holding a beauty that many admired but none possessed. Upon ivory and crimson pillars, she strode into the small scene with her skull held high, erect, and poised. Perfectly conformed, she was the prize of any hellion's herd, the gem of pure delight. It seemed as if it had become more difficult for her to grab her king's attention lately, for he had been sidetracked - probably with the brute of a stag, Frenzy, demanding alliances right before the war. Politics. It wasn't her thing.

Shimmering heat glinted upon the experienced warrior and queen, Candra as she stepped into the broad sunlight, a smirk planted upon her expressionless features. "Look at the look splattered against this slave's features..." she murmured, snapping at her ferociously, yet the smaller snow hued fae didn't flinch. Was she not afraid of pain, of death? "You can see the defiance planted upon her.." she growled. "Why don't we teach this piece of scum a lesson, Trainwreck, as the king and queen of the land?" she asked, a more than ready grin upon her face.

"Father wouldn't do that to her!" yelled out Atticus. "He loves her," he said defiantly, stamping his small pillar in protest.

Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptyFri Jan 27 2012, 21:28

A feeling of pride, or close to it, welled in Trainwrecks chest. He could not quite discern the name of the feeling that he felt but he knew it to be close to pride. The way his son held himself, with his head high, and the way he spoke, commandng attention with his tone, and his posture shouting confidence.

If the situation were different, and trainwreck did not count so highly on his reputation, it would bring him great pride to announce the arrival of his son to the world. However, such an announcement would cause him the loss of his authority over many of those that feared him and were in his control now. His queen would leave him, and most likely tear Lilus to shreds and quite possibly Atticus as well. It was something he could not risk.

The king nodded his head and turned to Lilus, silently praising her for her choice in names. He noticed the flames growing on the colts neck with each breath in, and observed other details that made the colt appear more hellion than mortal.

Lilys words almost brought a smile to his face, and with his mind gently touching hers, he heard her thoughts. She did love him, after all. If only he could tell her that he felt the same. Her whispers tickled his ears gently and he had to fight back the smile.

The fight wasnt too long lasting however, for a voice ripped him from their special moment and a scowl was instantly plastered on his face. Candra had intruded. Her words nearly made him flinch but he did not show it externally. He simply growled under his breath at her words.

And then Atticus spoke and Trainwreck wanted to kick out at him but did not want that to be his sons first impression of him. "You know nothing of me, colt," the king snapped. Hold your foolish tongue." Trainwreck shot Lilus a brief look, telling her to start walking away.

"Be gone," he snapped, baring his teeth at the mare and foal, his ears flattened to his skull and his tail whipping through the air with his empty threat. "That will be the last problem from her, or she will simply be put to death," harsh words floated from his vicious muzzle, more to himself as a way to assuring Candra the problem was dealt with.

"Candra, my queen, where have you been?" Trainwreck hissed with nearly a sarcastic snark to it. He approached her and circled her perfect bodice, his eyes drinking in the beautiful sight of her. Why had she not bore one of his foals yet? It would indeed be a perfect specimen, a foal he would proudly allow to stand by his side. "I believe we have other things to attend to other than torturing the slaves," he said, insinuating that perhaps it was time Candra present herself to have an heir of his, and hoping this would keep her mind off of Lilus and his new son.

It was indeed time for Candra to bear a foal. Trainwreck needed an heir for when it was time for him to step down, whether it was filly or colt. With the perfect bloodlines of the king and queen combined, it wouldnt matter what gender, or what size or color or anything along those lines, that the foal would be. It would be amazing and powerful regardless.

Ooc . Sorry if there are any typos or if its messed up anywhere. Im typing this on my ipad because my computer is broken at the moment.

Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptyTue Jan 31 2012, 11:14

Stealthy prowess caressed her bodice, perfection soothing over her satin pelt as she stood in flames. She was smoldering, and steam would have shot from her harks if it was actually possible - she was entirely impassioned with anger. Icy orbs dissected this situation, and the sight of the disgusting piece of dirt that stood before her, mollified her in a way. Flames trickled down to a steady trace along the crest of her boa, instead of the raging hell that they normally were. Candra was soothed by her weakness - yet, a smirk threatened the edges of her maw. The queen could not help but to think that her ruler was being rather....mendacious with her. But what hellion in his right mind would have the audacity to choose a bit of scum from the bottom of the earth over her? Let alone one who could be killed so easily. Futile bitch.

The blanket was rarely put over the bright blue, intelligent orbs that read him for the slightest of hesitancy. Upon seeing no flaw in his countenance, she proceeded with their daily activities. Obsidian shone blatantly upon his silken pelt, drops of ivory rain resting upon his haunches. No one could deny his fortitude, not even the ones that doubted the strength of the hellion. Exile would have called no one worthy of his most revered heir to the throne - not just of the Gemdas...but of the world. But here they were, once again.

"I see that it has bore a foal before myself," she murmured, her words death as they poured from her lips. Emotions stirred within her, yet her icy pools were as emotionless as the still oasis that centered itself in the terrain. Unlike her, it possessed clarity - whereas, the entrance of her mind was a cloud that few could reach. It was not a prudent decision to speak to her superior in such a way, yet it was true. When did he decide he would bless that wretched creature with something of such undeniable power? Why would he give his first born heir to that...that thing?! Candra couldn't bring herself to understand the oddities that were stags, yet she was completely confused as to why they were the leaders instead of the faes. Sometimes, they made the most irritating decisions.

Turning her attention back to her king, she noticed what he was asking. Pondering the decision slightly, she decided that perhaps it was a good idea for a heir to be born. It would squelch any chance that ivory and ebony dirt colt had of winning the throne when he was grew older...and of course more powerful. But none could loosen the chance of the great bloody vixen's heir succeeding in conquering the throne. For this was all she was concerned about.

Candra was not easily impressed, nor was her lineage if this stag did not fulfill his promises to her for world domination. It was all she cared for - she cared not for him, the silly stag. She was not one for feelings...or such soft things as the lilac pooled creature did. What a pathetic mongrel. The...the idea struck her. So clever was the queen - and in her majesty, all would be finished. "Perhaps...you will let me kill the little slave. She probably will not survive the war anyways," she pondered, icy orbs tainted by the jealousy that poured from her. Absolute hatred. Oh. How she wished she could rip that wench apart strand by strand until she lay upon the ground, stained by blood and indifferent to life and death.

-

As the brawn queen stepped forward, an aura of protectiveness seemed to fly from her love - something she hardly had seen in him before. If only fire made its dwelling in her veins...and flames poured from the spores which silken lace flowed from. If only that, she could be his forever without the bias of the world - their judgmental oddities. Her heart swelled from just the thought of being his, un-judged like the lioness like queen of his. Was this just a game? Did he truly love the fae of storm or was it the fae of blood that made his knees weaken?

Lilus could tell..from his posture that no harm was meant for her though. The only anger he seemed to possess was to the icy pooled fae who was stand-offish to everyone and respected none. They wouldn't take it personally. Well, perhaps her son would - seeing as he spoke way out of line in front of the prissy, snobby queen. Lily was normally gentle and kind to everyone she met...but this mare - this mare, she made Lily's blood boil. Especially the way she demanded to her ebony king to kill both of them.

"Come Atticus," she said, hopping off to a thicket of rocks she knew of on the other side of the terrain. It would be a good hiding place for them until the queen had settled herself. Quietly, she willed for Trainwreck know her mind so that he could come to find her after he was done with Candra. Surely, he would explain their situation better as time went on.

Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptyTue Jan 31 2012, 23:51

The king looked after Lilus and his colt, his black eyes as emotionless as the coal they resembled. His mind was in a whirl, however. If Candra had heard the words whispered by Lily, seem the happy gleam in his eye while he was in the presence of the two of them... she would have left then and there. No one could know of their affair until Trainwreck was of a more established position. There had to be a way to turn Lilus in to a creature that would be respected among his followers.. If he had one wish, it would be for that.

A small fear crept in to his heart as he realized Lily was so vulnerable, and Atticus as well. A hellion such as Candra could rip them both to shreds with ease. His stomach clenched slightly at the thought, but he kept his composure perfectly, his gaze returning strongly to his queen's, not showing any sign of his thoughts or his small fears. He would figure out a way to change Lilus, a way to make her strong and powerful and able to protect herself. Trainwreck only hoped it would not change who she was.

Candra said something of killing the slave yet again, and Trainwreck snarled to himself. "Shut up, bitch." he snapped. "Some queen you are." The king saw the jealousy plainly in Candra's eyes, tickling the edges of her mind with his and feeling the envy lingering there. "The slave was not my first born," He had indeed had twins by Asylum Escape, a mare he had forced many, many moons ago. He had yet to see those foals but he knew he would one day, and they would want to meet him, the great Trainwreck.

His lips curled in disgust. "You have shown me no interest in birthing a foal of mine, queen," His voice slid off his tongue with such a hiss he slightly surprised himself. Going from speaking so gently to Lilus, or having to say nothing at all to her, and then to being so dark and hateful towards Candra was very odd for him, very tough to keep himself level-headed.

Never could he imagine speaking to Lilus as he spoke to Candra, but he knew at times he would have to; atleast until he figured out a way to make Lilus more powerful. If it were only up to Trainwreck, she would be worthy of standing at his side. Though Candra was an obviously better candidate for queen, Lilus would be a merciful and gentle leader, helping him with the softer members of the world, such as the slaves that would need reassurance or possible alliance-members that would need convincing. Perhaps even a decoy.

Trainwreck noticed his thoughts trailing away and instantly snapped himself back to reality before Candra would notice and wonder where his mind was. He quickly checked to make sure his proper mind shields were in place, keeping his thoughts safe from others who could search his mind, and then waited to see if Candra was going to respond to his insults or not.

Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptySat Feb 04 2012, 18:30

There was something very odd about this situation. Something about the way his thoughts seemed to meander about, in discord and confusion. It seemed like recently, a cacophony of sounds had been erupting in his mind constantly - the way he listened to her, which was not at all. Why, she was the most flamboyant, showy vixen in the land. What in hell had provoked him to speak with a slave over her? Perhaps, she was over-perplexing herself about this; there was no way he was keeping a clandestine from the queen.

It was such a shame for him that she was infamous for stirring up trouble, and she was nearly relentless when there was something she felt she needed to know. Her vehemence was undeniable, and it was aimed at the puny, disgusting slave that had gotten her king's attention when she got no more than a passing glance on a daily basis. Well, they would all see the slave's prostration when Candra trampled her to the ground and made ashes of her with the flaming tresses that flared around her boa and haunches. The queen made sure he got that image too, clear in his mind. You couldn't intervene or reason with a hellion with a vengeance, and that she was.

Candra's secrets were archaic, dating back to her father's knowledge, and his father's. They simply did not tell their mates everything they knew, and this was the reason. Outbursts? She laughed to herself. How childish he was being. "I will speak as I please," she growled, heat radiating off of her pelt as the anger and blood-lust rose within her veins. Candra could almost taste his blood on her tongue, sparking like fire as she killed him mercilessly. "I am not the one who speaks with scum. I am a ruler who takes pride in who my lineage is served to," she snarled, feeling fury bubble within her. "Corus," she called him, who was the epitome of weakness, of failure in her views. Name-calling was hardly in her vocabulary, but she felt the need to bring herself down to his filthy level for associating with dirt.

An inferno seemed to arise around her, flames circling her. She really wanted to rip him to shreds - his line was never worthy of hers anyways. It was only sooner or later that he became a piece of scum like his sister, helping all those in need - saving the world one step at a time. Disgusting. Candra could not imagine her heir being related to such a filth of the world. You could find better relatives in the gutter. They were nice, they were kind. What this world really needed was some good leaders - for once.

"Actually, that would be excellent. I will personally train it....I'm sure you won't mind if it practices on your dear little slaves, will you?" she asked, a twinkle of deception in her icy blue orbs as she turned to face the north, standing away from him. There was a plan now, now that Candra had her suspicions about her. The way he defended them was quite....interesting. He had just lost a lot of respect from her, but she wouldn't yet let his allies know how weak he was.

PostSubject: Re: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptySun Feb 05 2012, 17:36

Trainwreck spat on the ground and snarled, his teeth gnashing together in rage. Who did Candra think she was? He did not need her to stand next to him, nor did he need her judgement. Obviously she was quite idiotic if she did not realize he was simply spreading his genes. Only those born who were pure would be given any rights in this kingdom. A growl rumbled in his stomach, angry with her for interrupting.

"You obviously have no concept of taking over this kingdom," he said condescendingly, watching her closely as she called him by his father's name. It did not hurt him, for his father had at one time been great, just not strong enough to remain so. "You cannot hurt my feelings, dear," he hissed, narrowing his black eyes at her.

So, she was going to rub it in his face that she was to bear his foal and then torture the slaves? He smirked at her, wondering just where she was going with this. "That is what the slaves are for." He stated. Perhaps it was time to get more, as well. It was time to make a trip, perhaps she would wish to join them.

Once the mare turned, he quickly did the deed, biting the crest of her neck under her warm blood dribbled in to his mouth, and then walked back around to face her. "It's time to get more slaves. You may join me or search on your own." Trainwreck truly did not care what she chose to do. At this moment he was incredibly displeased with her, and he had a feeling she would turn against him at the first opporunity. Perhaps it was time to find a more worthy queen. Or perhaps it was time to find a way to turn Lilus into a hellion.

PostSubject: Re: Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona)   Come Again, Sweet Love(Epona) EmptySun Feb 05 2012, 18:34

Still very cool and calculating was the brutish vixen who stood firmly planted upon the ground, her neutral expression mocking him even more than her words had. Icy eyes locked onto his, condescending playfulness wrapped around her pupils, and she saw him as hunter looks to her prey. It was bound to happen eventually, when they experienced gridlock in the kingdom. This was just a sign that she was becoming independent in her own affairs and would soon take over by brute force if they could not come to a consensus.

"Whatever," she replied, rolling her eyes in disgust as she mulled over the fact that they were no longer in alliance. There was nothing more she had to say, for he had said it all. Nothing hurt her feelings, for there was nothing to hurt. Neither angry not sorrowed was she and that was the absolute difference between a legitimate leader and one who let their emotions get in the way. Shrugging, she turned her skull away. Perhaps, it was time to find a better king after she dropped this life-sucking creature.

After he did the deed, she turned back to him and scowled, knowing that one day her heir would kill his dear little slave. Would tears roll down his wide cheeks when she was bloodied upon the sand? Ha! She had lost so much respect for him today that she wasn't sure she could return to the land without thinking of herself a scum for carrying his heir. Candra was sure that the point was now across that she would do whatever she wanted regardless of what he said or did. Nothing could change her mind when she had an idea stuck in her mind, and she certainly wasn't going to stop until she tasted the blood of the gray one.

"Let us go," she said, finally, flicking her whipcord nonchalantly as she took off easily, trotting to where they would get new slaves. Of course, she would be part of the progressive effort to conquer all the kingdom.
