The grey dappled mare felt her heart lighten as her sights set on home. Her aged harks pricked, her eyes roamed the soft, sandy landscape and a whinny of delight left her vocals.
She had been gone many a season, trying to find herself and heal. But, all she had found was herself longing for her new king. Of course, her mind stil lingered over the thought of her old mate, Surreal, but Epimetheus was somehow taking his place and bringing on new feelings.
She had accepcted him as king right away, not for love but for need. Now...well now she wanted it different. She wanted to stay, she wanted his affection. She wanted him.
"Epimetheus!" she called, eyes roaming the sandy landscape for his form "I have returned."
