Rishima

I galloped though the night before the moon started to come up. i knew that tonight i must hide because when the moon did rise my silvery white coat would glow and i would stand out so much. i looked around worried someone already had seen me as it was not hard to see a silvery white coat at night. I just sighed before moving on faster then i had been going until i reached deep within the trees which i had come in a hour before hand.

The trees were fine to be in for now but i would need to go find a cave to hide in for the rest of the night. i searched for another hour, my coat glowing but i did not find a cave so i went and hid in a clump to trees that would not show that much of my glowing coat or the highlighted purple looking mane and tail. I sighed knowing i would have to stay awake all night to make sure nothing found me.

Silver glistened on bright chestnut hues as they blurred like the wind over the hills. Long, graceful pillars flailed forward in extended strides as his dark gray nose stretched outward. Muscles rippled beneath his unmarred pelt, propelling him more quickly. Daggers skidded to a stop as he lowered his skull to drink from the rippling water pools, where thin reeds grew thick. His tapered nostrils flared as he drank to his heart's content, breathing in deeply as the moonlight beat against him gently. Balin raised his skull as began to lope along, enjoying the light gales on this summer night.

A cave opening reflected moonlight, and his pillars carried him inside as he sank to the bottom of the sandy surface. Deeply sighing, he drifted off for a few hours, only to be awakened by the thundering of hoof beats through the forest-land. The chestnut stag speckled with ivory curiously sauntered to a clump of sweet smelling pine trees, sensing another creature in the thicket.

Life had nearly ceased to exist as the moon towered overhead, providing their only light. The stars of Andromeda caressed the sky too, providing some source of night. As his earth hued orbs scanned the small thicket, he caught a glimpse of shining silver deep within. With his harks perked, he went to the source of the glorious light, finding that it belonged to a fae. She was so beautiful and perfect in every way...so bizarre and different to everything he had become accustomed to in the rocky coastline. "Greetings," he whispered softly, trying not to attract attention to their small scene. It was obvious she was trying not to be discovered. "I am Balin, son of Rummy and Baru Dengin," he offered his calling, coming closer so that he was just a few feet away from her.

Rishima

I looked around and sighed no one yet but that would not last long i knew it and felt that i had either been herd or seen. I sighed listening to what was around when i herd something was walking this way. I stood still knowing it was not any use as the glow from my coat would been seen in one or so places. I looked around again and got ready to run if i needed to.

I looked though a few of the trees to see a chestnut stag moved though them towards me. Moving back wards i saw that i might be fine this was another horse and i might not be in any danger. I sighed as he found me and i moved back a bit more. Looking at him i saw his markings but shoke my head how i wished there was more moon horses out there but there was only me and 3 younger ones. I looked at him again as he spoke softly and realized that he knew i did not want to be discovered. I stayed silent until after he had said his name and came closer then i spoke "greetings Balin and no closer please" i said softly then looked at the few feet between us "i am Rishima, daughter of......" i stopped knowing that there was not point in saying my parents names they were gone.

In The Full Moon I Glow Empty
PostSubject: Re: In The Full Moon I Glow   In The Full Moon I Glow EmptyFri Jan 28 2011, 09:04

The young muscular stag kept his distance, wondering why such a beautiful mare would hide herself from the world. Surely, if he had not been so lucky to come upon her hiding place, she would have been undiscovered. To Balin, she was like a lotus unveiling itself to the glimmering moonlight. Why, she was nearly as beautiful as the moon goddess, herself. Innocence shone in his brown orbs, the lack of experiencing this world for himself. Balin didn't want to do anything to displease her, so he stayed his distance. Not yet was he sure of how frightening he was, for he truly hadn't seen himself in the waters since he was but a playful colt.

Instead of being childish and naive with a face that many would describe as 'cute, he transformed into a handsome stallion without a care in the world - a bachelor with a thirst for worldly experience. "Daughter of the moon..." he whispered, referring to her marvelous pelt. Balin, of course, had never seen nor heard tale of these creatures of the night. None of them had reached his small coastal herd yet, but he hoped to meet more shimmering horses like her. On the way, he had seen the most amazing sights - horses, with horns on their skulls and feathery wings too. They astounded him, and he would be sure to ask this fae all about them. "I will not harm you," the chestnut stag reassured.

"Why do you hide from the night, Rishima?" he asked, harks pricked in keen interest as he spoke. There was something very different, very special about this particular vixen. If only he knew what. For now, he took it as a very serious matter to keep her hidden. Mother had told him many times about the evils that lurked in this land and the glade and to be careful if he ever went there. Those evils wouldn't hesitate to kill a young stallion to get a mare. Balin couldn't leave though, not now, for he was much too interest in the mare that shone like the moon.

Rishima

I looked at him and sighed might as well tell him what type of horse i was soon and to why i have appeared now. Shaking my head i thought i might wait to say that though. I looked at his brown orbs with my own sapphire blue ones, then i turn my head to look at my glowing coat, maybe he though me nearly as beautiful as the moon goddess well my line did come from there i think.

I watched him then looked around at all the was around were was Gitta her friend and the other 3 younger ones when i wanted them. I turned my head to look at him as he spoke "well your closer then you think, Balin" i said knowing he had said that for my coat and that was really all that was different about me from any other horse. i looked at him knowing that i was a pure moon horse and i guessed that there would be not longer pure ones but i did not mind. I turned my head to him as he said he would not harm me "and thank you for saying so" i said to him.

I frowned as asked why i hide from the night "its only on a full moon i hide and that is when my coat glows brightest and must be hidden" i said to him then decided that now i would tell him why i was so fearful and trying to hide my coat " I am a Moon Horse and we are very rare these days me and 3 others could be the last, the reason for this is humans hunted as for our coats and my fathers herd and one other was killed for them, that is why i hide" i said and looked at him "and i am the Princess over my kind you could say" i said to him.

Balin smiled to her gently as she spoke; her tones were so light like the night wind itself whispering soft words of kindness to him. The young stag's words had only been in comparison to her great beauty, that endearing look that spread upon her features as she spoke. Surely, she must be a child of the moon, one encased in silver moonlit beauty. Balin wondered innocently for a brief second of her powers - they must have be unmatched by any other species in their abilities of the night.

"Who are they?" the young stag asked, turning his gaze to the shimmering ivory wolves that stood awaiting their destiny. They emitted the same chrome glow off of their pelts, except they were of the canine type. Balin hadn't seen many wolves at the passing distance, and horses had mixed views of them. While some saw them as kind and good companions, others saw them as ferocious killers. Balin would find his thoughts as he met more of them. "I would never hurt a mare. I've learned from my father's old ways," he replied with a single nod. Mother had taught him never to give into temptation, but there was none. Balin was purely good.

The young stag had heard of humans and didn't know what they were - but, she seemed to know what she was talking about, so he'd let it be. "A princess?" he asked, dropping his skull in a low respectful bow before her. "I have never met one so royal. It is an honor to meet you," Balin said. "My father was no king, not of a land, only of my mother's heart," he replied. Balin had ventured far and wide to find a land that called to him. He had found it in Ciera and had been welcomed as the beta. It had pleased him, but he knew he needed to find a herd of his own if he was going to be happy. If only it consisted of one or two, he would be glad. Just as happy he would be if it reached four or five. Balin didn't take life's gifts for granted, he cherished them for what they were.

Rishima

I watched him and sighed I knew that my coat would not glow again until the next full moon and until then i might be safe but i would need someone to keep me safe. I looked around again and waited for him to speak when he did he asked who were they, at which i turned my head to see the wolves " they are friends of mine" i said then watched him. I sighed when he went on to say he would never hurt a mare.

I looked at him it seemed he did not know what a human was and i hoped he would never have to know. I half smiled then shoke my head "no need for that my kind is at its end unless the third and final herd of moon horses still run free then me and the three others are all thats left" i said to him as i listened to all the had said and i sighed again "i might be royal, but what is there for me to take over" i added then looked at him "and it does not matter if your fathers not a king in all good hearts is a princess or prince as that is how i see things, but yes i am a princess one that does not mind her fate as long as some were in time the blood of the moon horse returns and is pure"

Relief spread over his form as he noticed her bodice glowing less as the full moon ceased its illumination upon the horizon. Instead, a greater form was beginning to take its place as streaks of orange and red began to dart across the sky. Either way, the copper stag had already made up his mind that no harm would descend upon the gracious one who stood before him. Noble was the ivory splotched brute, refusing to accept no for an answer when it came to the safety of one so fair and beautiful as the fae of the moon. The moon herself shone fondly upon the kindly mare, blessing her with lavish beauty and a gentle nature.

Balin smiled, admiring the wolves for their shimmering pelts. "Well, your friends seem quite wonderful, and their coats are as beautiful as the moon, herself. They are always welcome in the lands at which I reside," he said, nodding to the wolves, in their stunning glory. As he heard the tale of her kind becoming less and less with the growing years, he grimaced, worried that the creatures of the moon would become extinct. "There is always hope. Sometimes, there is more of one's own kind where they are least expected to be," he replied, hoping to soothe her worries.

The words she said rang true, and they were significant for all to hear. "You are right, Rishima. Everyone can be a prince if they desire to act like a noble one does," he agreed, feeling a bit better of not coming from royal lineage like her. His heart was pure, and that was all that mattered.

PostSubject: Re: In The Full Moon I Glow   In The Full Moon I Glow EmptyThu Feb 16 2012, 19:08

I watched the sun as it came up from its sleep and then to my coat was had finally stopped shinning. I sighed with relief that I had gotten though one more full moon and so had the two wolves thankfully. I looked once more to the dawn sky then back to Balin.

I listened to what he said about the two wolves "Yes they are they too are of the moon and are hunted as well but they have their own ways of keeping safe, mud for one thing, it's hard for a horse to find a mud hole big enough for a horse to be completely covered with it"
I said then whinnied to Gitta who lifted her head and took a small step forwards "That is Gitta her friend i do not know who he is"

"Yes there is always hope, i think there may be one more major herd of moon horses out there but i can't be sure i have not seen them since i was younger"

I smiled at his words about what i had said. I nodded me had slightly then looked about again and listened i heard the birds start singing among the trees.

In The Full Moon I Glow Empty
PostSubject: Re: In The Full Moon I Glow   In The Full Moon I Glow EmptyFri Feb 17 2012, 17:13

One day, the worries of the moon's glistening powers would be behind her, and the life of true peace would awaken her in the morning instead of relief for survival. One day, romping through fields of flowers would cease the memories of years of running from who she was. He knew it, for something was going to be good in her future, he could already tell. Whether she spent it with him was a different story, for a mare's fate should always be decided by her and her alone.

Balin shook his skull in dismay as he looked, pleadingly with the youthful silver creatures. "What a shame. It seems like very few have respect for something that belongs to someone else. I only wish the world could be good," he sighed, hoping what he said made sense to her. He was often rambling to himself about something no one else cared about. But that was a good thing, to let others know of your opinions and thoughts before you became good friends with them, mother had said. Oh, the stories she could tell.

It was difficult to think of home too much though, for the beautiful fae before him was stunning his eyes so that he may not see anything but her. His heart pounded at the thought of spending a not a moment more with her, for he longed to be just in her presence. When he looked into her glistening orbs, he felt as if he could not breathe. For one so kind, so gentle, she made his thoughts race and his chest feel tight when he spoke to her. Talking to her was like speaking to himself, for she always said the right things - it did not matter what they were, but they were always right in his eyes.

"I do hope you find the rest of your kind," he said with sincerity, for he was known for his giving nature. If he could find the entire herd for her, he would - just for her.
