Qier

Qier walked silently into Africa, his giant form surprisingly stealthy as he made his way deeper into the land. Finally he stopped, standing on a small rocky plain. Sighing a bit, he raised his head and barked once, loudly, announcing his presence. The pack of Africa would be there soon, he knew. Wolves didn't exactly like trespassers in any form, even - or especially - if they were looking to join the pack.

The white wolf, however, expected an attack. In fact, in this instance, he was looking forward to a fight. He was around the size of a dire wolf, but his siblings were much smaller, and he'd never had the opportunity to fight against a properly sized challenger.

Of course, that wouldn't make it a fair fight. Not by a long shot, and he was satisfied with that knowledge. After all, how could it be fair when one fighter was simply big, and the other was huge and had control over wind, one of the most powerful elements? It would at least be more interesting than normal though.

Grey and white, the form slipped silently through the shadows. The Alpha had been following this trespasser since his entrance in to the pack lands, watching him, evaluating him. Alongside him ran a smaller, yet equally swift and cunning, white wolf. Gematria was a scout, and had signaled to Draighean long before this stranger had even entered their borders.

At the intruder's announcement, Draighean stepped from the shadows, sizing up this wolf and finding himself nearly evenly matched, though Draighean was possibly a few inches taller. Gematria followed behind his Alpha, the orange eyes of the scout watching this stranger with suspicion.

"Is there a reason you have trespassed on to my lands?" Draighean asked smoothly, his tone cold and his red eyes blazing with interest. Perhaps he would grant this wolf membership, if he pledged loyalty, or perhaps he would kill him. It would be interesting, and it all depended on the response that the Alpha would receive.

Qier

Instead of a surprised look, or respectful acknowledgment, - or in fact, any sign that he hadn't known they were there before - Qier nodded slightly to Draighen in greeting. "There's always a reason to do something. It's whether or not it's a good reason," the white wolf replied. "However, my reason for being here is simple. To join. I am Qier. Your pack and my family's packs are already considered allies. I'm here, first to strengthen the alliance, and also to find wolves that could actually be interesting to live with. My family would be far too easy for me to beat, and most of my siblings have started their own packs anyhow."

Qier smiled slightly. He didn't need any information on most of his siblings. The wind told him where they were. That and his elemental companion kept an eye or two on the others in his family for him.

"Also, whether you let me join or not, I don't suggest killing me, mostly because you can't stand to lose the allies you have. The other side may be weak, but on no account are they out of the fight yet. Killing me could cause a rift due to my siblings, and weaken our side quite a bit, since I'm both in control of an element, and have an advantage in size. On the whole, it would be rather a stupid idea. Something which I hope you're not, though most I know say that you aren't anyway."

All the time, Qier had been watching the two wolves. Draighean he knew enough about to guess safely that he could win in a fight if he needed to. The other one, he could quite probably win against as well, but he wasn't as sure. Some of the smaller wolves were more than capable of putting up a fair fight. Then there was the rest of the pack... Still, his chances were reasonable enough for his tastes...

He just hoped he wouldn't have to worry too much about it.

Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open)   Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open) EmptySun Jun 26 2011, 13:32

Not able to help himself, Draighean curled his lips up in a silent snarl at the beginning of the intruder's response, sensing the attitude and rebellion against his authority. It pissed him off. Gematria watched warily with narrowed eyes, his gaze fixed on this wolf, this Qier. Did this wolf believe that the African pack was a fighting pack? They did not fight among themselves, they fought others, so there would be no "beating" going on around here.

Gematria's eyes glared straight in to Qier's, looking for the signs he needed to know if this wolf was trustworthy or not. Obviously, he was not. But Gem kept his mouth shut, knowing better than to interrupt when the Alpha was greeting a trespasser. Crepusculum would not have been so kind upon first approach. Gematria knew this for a fact, from when he had first met her.

The white wolf's orange eyes snapped back to his Alpha as Draighean started chuckling evilly. "You idiot," he hissed. "If I wanted to kill you, you would already be dead," he bared his teeth. This male thought he was something special. "We do not [i]fight[/] in our pack. We do not fight each other, it is a rule. We fight the enemy. What kind of wolf are you?[/b]" Draighean sneered. He stood up completely straight, ear forward tensely, and looked down at the new white wolf with his red eyes blazing with hatred, not just for this male, but for any other wolf that dared to trespass on his lands and then disrespect him in such a way.

Crepusculum had to meet this wolf, she just had to. It would be a holiday for her if she got to toy with this poor idiot. Draighean was not in the mood for games today, however, so this brute was pushing his buttons rather easily. Having cubs and being Alpha was stressful, and the amount of intruders recently was incredibly irritating. It made him want to kill something, and he would do it if he got pushed that far.

"I wouldn't be so confident if I were you," came the voice of Gematria as he finally spoke. He feared nothing, and he liked it that way. Yes, this wolf was larger than he, but was he quicker? more intelligent? Doubtful. He sneered darkly, his orange eyes dancing like a fire as he watched the mutt.

A ripple of anticipation slithered down Draighean's spine and Gematria noticed him shiver from out of the corner of his eye. Anticipating a fight? Or something else? Gematria tipped his head back and howled briefly, announcing their location quickly in case something went south and this male had to be handled quickly. Though he was positive that Draighean could handle him even without his help, it was always good to be on the safe side. Plus, Crepusculum would enjoy knowing what the son of one of their allies was doing, or planning to do anyways.

PostSubject: Re: Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open)   Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open) EmptySun Jun 26 2011, 17:08

Dagger-like ivories sank into the jugular as the sharp horns thrashed violently, her massively muscular bodice dragging down the frame of the creature instinctively. It started in with hyperventilation, but in time, all breath was ceased. Just as she was about to rip open the tender, newly killed flesh and call over the alpha male to join her in a meal, a howl arose over the land. Crepusculum snapped her skull back, a low growl rumbling from deep within her chest. Something wasn't right. Someone was intruding upon them, and from the tone of the howl, they possibly required to be disposed of. What a great meal they would make for the vultures that roamed so free.

In a matter of seconds, she had arrived to the small scene that had arisen. All of her bulk and muscle towered over the intruder as she rippled each muscle, showing off what pure brute force she could muster up. Needle like harks laid close to her massive skull as a snarl ripped from her throat, clearing the air that they argued upon. Crepusculum stepped past Gematria like he was a pauper, shoving him out of the way. Clearly, she was not in the mood to be messed with, especially since she had to take care of the pups day in and day out.

This pup had better have a good reason to interrupt their daily lives. Nonsense would not be permitted, and if it was attempted, there would be slaughter. "Tell me, why do you think you can intrude upon our lands?" she asked precisely, wanting to toy with the new wolf before setting up some sort of test for him to complete to prove his worth. "What would you do to be one of us, accepted by our society?" she asked, making sure to toy with him. It was so much better for him to set his own standards for approval. "We can teach you many things, especially how to shut up when the alpha is speaking," Crep hinted after he interrupted Draighean, taking a planned step forward and rumbling a low growl.

Crepusculum raised an eye brow at his next comment, having all sorts of ideas pop into her mind. A smile caressed her features - but that was just the beginning of what she had planned for him. "Related to Modet," she murmured, taking it all in as she sauntered up to him, ivories present at all times. "How much liking do you take to him?" Crep asked curiously, wondering if he could truly accomplish what she wanted. Ridding the world of them would be so wonderful. Too bad it would never happen soon enough.

Qier

"I know that you do not fight each other. I was somewhat curious to see whether or not you'd be more of a match for me however than my siblings. Nor do I care to beat you, or be beaten by you, as the case may be. I much prefer keeping alliances, especially looking at the events of the past year as they've unfolded." he paused slightly sensing the hatred in Draighean. Typical, in his opinion. Well, what could I do? he asked himself. I'm trained for fighting, not manners.

"Not much to base confidence off of, given the fact that most fights I've wound up in haven't been at all close to what it must be like to fight opponents the size of dire wolves. Or bigger." When Crepusculum spoke, he was entirely silent, switching his tail a bit as he listened.

"As for why I think I can... Well, I just did. It's whether or not I get my throat ripped out that counts. Anyhow, would you prefer a different manner of asking to join? If so, I haven't seen sign of it, nor heard of another way either. Therefore, the most obvious choice would be to come here to where you live so that I could speak with the both of you." he said, shrugging a bit, before answering the other questions.

"I know how to shut up, it's whether or not my mind is focused on being quiet or not. Usually I'm thinking of seven or eight things at any given time." he didn't add in anything else to that statement though, knowing it would give her clues she could use if he had to fight her. That was the last thing he needed at that point, and he knew it perfectly well. "As for a liking towards Modet? Well, unless it's dead or in terrible pain... You do realize that I was trained to try and kill Modet and his entire pack, right? So no, I don't really like him... At all. Ever."

The final question, he thought on before answering, keeping his eyes on all three wolves as he did so, and meanwhile focusing a part of his mind on shifting the air currents around him a bit. If they decided to attack, he could hit them with a whirlwind and send them flying fairly easily.

"Pick someone. I can quite probably kill them, main, seriously injure them... take your choice. Or you could just assign me to help watch the pups... Either way. It's boring in my old pack. Nothing to do, and far too crowded. I prefer to start away from family. It tends towards being both easier and harder at the same time."

She slunk towards the trio, ears flattened warily as her pale golden eyes swept the wolves standing in front of her. Her thick, white pelt was outstanding against the bright gold of the grassy stalks. Aurora's keen, intelligent eyes darted from figure to figure as she silently listened, settling down upon her small paws as she tilted her head, tongue lolling out of her mouth.

The collar around her neck - golden with crystals adorning the sides - sparkled in the bright sunlight. Normally, she wouldn't even bother with the alpha pair, but she had mellowed since the Great Battle, her feelings of rage and discontent no longer blazing as brightly or as fiercely.

Aurora blinked lazily, keeping an ear trained on the conversation, while the other listened out for sounds of movement nearby - whether they belonged to predator or prey. She had been feeling unusually restless today and longed for the company of another.

Sighing, she rose to her paws, letting out a short, non-threatening growl, announcing her presence as she trotted down towards them, halting warily a distance away, tail swinging slowly as she eyed them, wondering if she was welcomed to join them.

(OOC: Hope you don't mind Aurora joining? Just felt like doing something with her.)

PostSubject: Re: Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open)   Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open) EmptySun Jul 03 2011, 10:39

Joy nor sorrow, contented nor pained. Nothing clouded her mind to influence her decisions, and no ties linked her to others, especially intruders. Intently, she listened to his words, paying him a bit of respect as he spoke by not interrupting him and sending him away. It wasn't as if she needed the alliance of his pack, but why turn away other forces that thought everything in Modet's pack was corruption? They were sour enemies until the bitter end, but perhaps, someone on the inside could make the bitter end sooner for the opposing force.

"You don't want to fight one of us," she murmured quietly, harshly as he spouted thoughts off the top of his mind. Did he have no self control to censor out words that could get him killed? "If you fancy a fight with one of us, I would be sure to accept, but it would not come without a heavy price. Death, and a undesirable one at that," she smirked slightly, just bluffing. Crepusculum was hardly at the point for fighting, for the only offense this brute had committed against their clan was intruding. With training, the young brute could be quite...marvelous to them. Yes, there were endless possibilities. Suddenly, interrupting her thoughts, came one of her trained spies and her eldest daughter, Sauda. She was growing up to be quite the fighter, just like her other brothers and sisters.

Crepusculum smirked. This was exactly what she wanted - for him to be the one to ask to do the wonderful deed of ending the cycle of Modet lined fighters. "Kill Snow Dawn. Without her, Modet's next set of heirs will not be born, and he will suffer until the day he dies," she said softly, a wide eyed grin settling upon her features. "Do you accept?" she asked, flicking her bushy tail easily as she waited to see if he was worthy.

*

Storm hues rumbled upon the horizon as the petite pillars carried the light form over the high Saharan grasses. Her claws sank deeply into the earth as he skull remained low and threatening, a low growl in her throat, ready to rip through the silent atmosphere at any given moment. Deep blue hues on the lower bit of her pillars and upon her back shone like a crimson moon within a starless night, and her sky blue pupiless orbs captured all who stared into them for even a moment with her enchanting look of evil and hatred. She was a dark beauty already, and she was called Sauda.

Two of her brothers and sisters followed behind her, respecting her as the meanest in their entire clan. She looked back, shark-like ivories sent her sister, Ishana growling and snarling. Those golden orbs met the light blue ones with understanding; they didn't hate each other. "Sauda, don't be stupid, we don't belong here right now," said Ishana, growling low in her throat. Still, Sauda kept walking, her young muscles already standing out like they did on her parent's. Soon, the scene began to be more clear as they neared it. Some intruder though her could come upon their land so easily? He had a thought coming to him if he thought he was just that powerful. There was one thing Sauda knew for sure, and that was that her parents didn't put up with stranger wolves trying to take what was theirs.

Ishana and Blame traveled with them, but Sauda had told the others to come out from the tall bushes ad follow her. She didn't care if they had or not. All three of them were the size of an average wolf, even though they had only lived for about six months. Their mother knew that they had much more to grow, though, so she fed them the most high nutrient meals she could every day and night. Ishana was a deep vanilla wolf, an off white shade with a pure snowy underbelly and neck. Deeper brown shades were upon her back, and she had moon yellow orbs that shone beautifully as she hunted at night. Ishana blended in perfectly in the deep grasses of the Sahara. Blame was a deep crimson with a snowy ventral side and possessed saber toothed ivories like his father. The top of his skull was crimson, and he had dagger like claws that left an imprint upon the earth every time he took a step. Blame's tail was a two toned skunk tail.

"Greetings," said Sauda. "The others will arrive shortly," she said, an air of power radiating around her form.

PostSubject: Re: Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open)   Say Yes... It'll be Less Painful for You (Open) EmptyMon Jul 04 2011, 04:55

There was nothing Draighean enjoyed more than watching his mate toy with another. Perhaps it was because in his eyes, she did everything perfectly, without flaw. To say he loved her would be a longshot, but that he was infatuated with her wouldn't be far from the truth. The Alpha sat back on his muscular haunches, licking his sharp teeth as he watched the scene unfold before him. Draighean was more of the enforcer, not the speaker, around here. Crepusculum was highly intelligent, and generally handled the speaking on her own, with him simply there to enforce what she said. It was fair, and the King accepted it, knowing that thought he was extremely intelligent himself, he did not have a way with words as she.

The King turned his blood-red eyes to the approaching female, Aurora, and tilted his head a fraction in greetings to her. The entire pack was coming to greet this intruder. Even their offspring was coming. His eyes searched for any others that may be coming. Sauda greeted them and he nodded to her, his fangs dripping with anticipation. His daughter had grown already in to a strong and powerful wolf, and he was very proud of her. Never would he show it in front of others, for emotion was something he strongly disliked, but he was quite positive that Sauda knew how he felt, along with his other children.

Draighean's sensitive hearing picked up the sound of more wolves approaching and he smirked as he caught the scent of them. Krishna, a son of Crepusculum and Draighean, led the pack of five, his tail high for he was indeed the dominant male pup out of the children. His pure white pelt glistened as it rippled tightly over his already well-developed muscles. His eyes, like his father's, were blood-red, and always searching for something. He was larger than the others that straggled behind him, and that only added to the fact that one day, he would be a king.

Behind him came Yakasa, a smaller male whose coat was black with large white spots from head to tail, one placed precariously over his right eye, and his eyes were black, showing no color and no reflection of anything of the world around him. Abira, the smallest of Draig and Crep's litter, was in the middle, her coat reflecting her father's and her eyes reflecting her mother.

A few yards back trailed two pups, slightly smaller than the rest, though larger than Abira. They were not of Crepusculum's blood, but of a female that Draighean had forced many moons ago, named Le Soliel. Soliloquoy, the female of the pair, looked identical to her mother, with a glowing orange pelt that nearly disappeared in the moonlight and soft, pale orange eyes that glistened with knowledge. Her bother, Arsenal, was white with black boots covering his feet and ankles, his eyes reflecting orange just like his mother and sister. Arsenal was not physically defected, but his sister was without a tail, making it hard for her to show that she submit to another.

They both approached with their ears flat to their head, and Arsenal with his tail tucked between his legs. They both knew that Crepusculum did not like them much, but they were also trying to prove that they were worthy to live here.

Draighean greeted the five briefly and turned his attention back to the intruder. Krishna stepped over proudly and sat next to his sister, Sauda. They were much alike, being the two strongest of their brothers and sisters, and he knew that some day they would either be mortal enemies, or great allies.

Qier

The wolf grinned, laughing a bit. "Killing her would be a pleasure. Of course I accept." he knew well enough where his mother's old pack was, and the idea of destroying such an adversary seemed to him a tantalizing challenge, with the added bonus of helping him to join the pack he wished to. This would also possibly offer him the opportunity of chasing down his oldest sibling, Tirona, who was another thorn in his side.

"As for fighting you... It's tempting, simply to see what others will face, with you against them. However, I neither have a quarrel with you, nor with any in this land, and there's already a delightfully deadly task awaiting me. Perhaps a second, if I happen to meet with my sister along the way."

The wolf looked at the other wolves approaching, intrigued a bit by the orange pelted female, and the one that was, from his looks, related to her. However, by their actions, they were wolves of a lesser rank in the pack.

The first female, however, he nodded to guardedly, her storm-hued coat - and the rippling muscles beneath it - as well as her bearing, made her seem both beautiful and deadly, which he knew she was anyway.

This one, he thought as he turned his gaze back to the alpha pair, I'll have to get to know better.

Draighean eyed Qier with a stormy gaze in his red eyes. He was not sold on this male, not yet. He needed to prove himself, or else he would simply be killed with any other that tried to infiltrate their pack. It was not settling with him properly how he had simply walked in to their land with such confidence. The stranger was lucky the King had not ripped him to shreds upon the first words.

The Alpha growled to himself as he looked at his mate, warning her with his eyes to tread lightly. He was not in the mood for any funny business. His warning gaze then turned to his offspring, telling them to lay low as well, for he would not hesitate to punish them.

Catching sight of Qier eying his mate with interest, Draighean snarled. "You do your best to keep your distance from my queen, should you plan on keeping your limbs intact," he hissed, pulling himself to his full height and looking down his nose at the intruder. He was already on thin ice for intruding. One step out of line, and he would indeed be spread across the kingdom...in pieces.

Qier

The younger wolf shook his head a bit. He wasn't interested in Crepusculum as far as anything physical went... Unless it was a fight, of course. Then, he figured he'd learn a lot, whether it was by merely watching her fight, or being the one 'ripped to pieces,' as it was described. "Gladly, Draighean. I'd never think of it. Anyway, I have a wonderfully enjoyable task to attend to, so I'd better get started on it, don't you think?" with a bow, the white wolf turned and started walking away, before stopping for a moment to look around and add, "Unless of course you'd rather just rip me to pieces right now, of course. Though I don't see much point in doing that quite yet."

Then he jumped up and, with a flare of brilliant wings of light, he was gone, speeding above the clouds towards his mother's former pack.

Qier

It had been several weeks since he'd last been in the land, but this time, he was sure of his welcome, as he landed lightly on the ground, he barked once, a simple announcement of his presence. A new scar, just above his right eye was the only thing left of his fight. Soon, he thought, with a smug smile, he would be welcomed into the pack. Modet's mate was finally dead, and aside from a single pup, it seemed she had given Modet no new heirs. Even that black pup would die soon, for it couldn't survive without milk for long.

Eventually, too, Qier knew that Modet would find the bodies, and then there would truly be war.
