Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) Empty
PostSubject: Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN)   Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) EmptySat Nov 19 2011, 18:55

Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I'm through with playing by the rules of someone else's game

I'm through accepting limits
Cause someone says they're so
Somethings I cannot change
But till I try I'll never know!

Luminescent was the pallid ivory splattered with shards of night upon the silk surface, refined and delicate under the starlight. It called, it's call, like the sorrowful howl of a million wolves, each mourning the death of night when the cascading sunlight awakened the day. Each lace of tress possessed pure divinity, ivory pallid softness caressing her boa lightly as each pillar moved forward with the utmost grace.

Aware was she that the world was not dead but simply asleep. Vague scents wafted through her tapering nostrils, filling her with the sweet, simplistic fragrance of rose petals blowing under a soft gale. Rustling trees caught her bright starry orbs, their focus endless, tied to the grace of the moon and celestial goddess.

Slightly, one could even see the aurora borealias revealed upon her shimmering pelt, alive and awake when the stars came out to play. Tones of lavender and sky blue danced upon her silk hide, along with the prevalent ivory that captured all eyes and let the mind think of all things wonderful in the world. But yet her soul was not complete. Being even the protege of the goddess had not brought her happiness.

Turning her gorgeous skull behind her, she sighed, wondering if her other half was behind her. The days and nights were long traveling together, for there was usually little to talk about - using words, that is. Her pink muzzle created a sigh in the cool spring air, a coldness coming upon her as she thought of them both. Each had her own reason why love would evade her. But, the other....she deserved love more than the pallid shining fae, the one with the biggest heart.

"Flammis...it is only a few steps more..," whispered Ailia, knowing that their journey was only in vain.

Dreary and lifeless were the steps from the burly, bulky form that slowly tread upon the ground. One would think death to the small bits of grass that the storm hued flames scorched with every stride. All starlight subsided from falling upon her stunning, seemingly malevolent form. Evil seemed to glow from the torches that were her pillars, yet nothingness remained within.

Granite horns jutted from her massive skull, snowy orbs surrounded by a blanket of ivory. A sapphire glow seemed to radiate from her skull, torso, pillars, and tresses, lighting up the night in its own fashion. Ebony was the majority of her bodice, and stars dotted her existence, illuminated by sapphire incandescence.

So many orbs lingered upon her also, but it was not in a positive was in which they lingered. A harlequin in a beauty contest was she, standing out as much as the snow flaked mountains in the distance did. If there were any feelings within her, she would have felt unwelcome. Perhaps even a drifting sadness would wash over her, causing her to release tears that had never rolled down her sapphire cheeks, relinquishing all thoughts on normalcy. Such a thing was only a myth in today's world. Unicorns were not normal, for example, but they were cherished for their beauty.

She was not. Not even the malicious beasts that made most mares' knees quiver thought she was beautiful - they only saw her as an asset. Oh, yes. Someone more for support, another fighter. And what a fighter she was, but the only one she fought for was Ailia.

For the rest of the way, they moved in silence. Little notice did Flammis give to the beauty of the nature around her, for she had never been shown how beautiful life was. The rushing gurgling of the river and not even the buzzing of bees around ripe, red rose bushes had not phased her. It seemed to be that she was innocent in the worst way. She did not know love.

Was it possible?

Too late for second guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes and LEAP!

It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try defying gravity
And you won't bring me down

Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN)   Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) EmptySat Nov 19 2011, 22:11

Thick muscular strides led him into the twisting depths of the forest, the trees seeming to squeeze tighter as he trotted restlessly, forcing his way through the brambles and low branches, many catching and tugging at his scarred pelt. Though, now at his six years he was more then used to the tugging and snapping of these wild shrubs that seemed to mock him at every opportunity.

Calm and with the never ending patients his warm orbs flickering from height to height, scanning the ground ahead before stumbling forth with his over-sized hooves and moved to the edge of the clearing, peering down at the gushing river below and froze, legs slightly splayed as he scanned in the distance below.

The slightly spotted ebony spilled over her pure silken coat drew him in, the pinkness of her sweet maw and the bright black depths of her orbs told a story unknown. He was shell-shocked, to say as he stood between the tangled vines of the riverside and watched her in the soft distance.

Unable to bear the separation any longer, slowly but surely he turned and stumbled back down the hillside, taking more care in placing his large hooves than ever before and came to a stand-still a few paces from the side of their clearing, clearing this throat softly in hopes to gather her attention.

Absently he noted the other fae, just as glorious as this white glowing goddess before him. But she already had him, and he had no idea how. This fae, amazing and stunning and any other word he couldn’t seem to construct at this second called to him like no other before. And he didn’t even know her name.

“Beannachtaí…” he whispered before squaring his large build and lifting his head before clearing his throat once more, struggling to form the needed words in their own native language and not his own.

“Greetings beautiful fae’s,” he said in his gentle tones “I am how has your days been?”

He bobbed his head slightly, waiting for a reply and scanned the white spotted with earnst.

“I am Brogan.”

OOC: ‘beannachtaí’ is irish for ‘greetings’ and sorry for the crappy post!

Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN)   Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) EmptyThu Nov 24 2011, 08:37

Splendorous night was upon them, unfurling all its delicate beauty for all to see. Stars seemed to sing with the gratitude to the pallid ones who tread with starlight in their hearts, purity lacing the inner core of their souls. Truly, the journey had only began, but you could never convince the two of them that, for they knew that this was quite possibly the most significant time of their existences on this earth.

Daggers plodded onto a small ledge, making a bit of a clicking sound as they descended to the bottom of the rock. There, a small clearing with a massive tree leafing out to all sides stood adamant as the gales softly battered it on the warm starry night. It seemed as if this was the most beautiful of all nights, the aura of love injected within their hearts by the mischievous and misunderstood god of love.

With as much grace as she could muster up, she examined her surroundings, and from the trees with tangled vines to the rushing river over moonlight touched stones she saw no one. But instead she felt someone. A lingering presence where orbs touched the top layer of her pelt, sending a shiver down her spine. Look to where the vines meet the river whispered the goddess, and instantaneously, she flicked her deep ebony orbs to the riverside. And they, too were stunned by the sight.

He was beautiful, stunning - actually there were no words for him that she could think of. Even being connected to the infinite knowledge of Andromeda...she was speechless. Letting a breath of air drift into her lungs softly, she tread forward to meet him halfway. Harks perked, she watched his lucid strides as he neared the small, bright clearing where the moon seemed to focus.

Bright liquid orbs of earthy hue locked onto hers of deep ebony, and she watched him for a moment. Ivory touched his skull, blending into his deep chocolate hue. Ailia relished in looking at him, but it was difficult to see whether or not his soul was purely handsome as his bodice. Unlike most, his soul was not like crystal to her - she could not see.

"Hello," she said graciously. "It is nice to meet you, Brogan," softly, the name escaped her lips with a pleasant ease. "I am Ailia...and this is Flammis Odio, my sister of the soul. She tends to speak more with her mind than her lips," said the ivory fae easily, even though every bit of her fiber was tense as a board.

*
Love was like being cast into the tomb...cold and merciless, at least in her experiences nothing had ever been good about falling in love with someone. All it created was false feelings for someone that could never love her. Even when the ones of her former kind tread close to her warm bodice, they shied away like fillies at the sight of difference. Apparently, being different was a horrid thing to be, in the world of the close minded and ignorant. But, after all, that was the majority of the souls they came across anyways.

Why would a beautiful, delicate fae travel with a monster? Is the mutated hellion holding her hostage? These were many questions that most asked, not believing the pallid fae when she told them the truth. It disgusted her. Love was evil - the way they loved one and hated the other with a burning passion. There was no doubt in the starry vixen's mind that this stag would be any different.

One mindset, one motive. That was it. Reluctantly, Flammis decided to reply to the stag's prodding questions. Even though he asked nothing, she could tell that he wanted to know a bit about them. Why not be civil? Call me Flammis her mind whispered to his, lightening orbs jutting to the ground for a moment, not wanting to think of his expression as he looked upon her massive bodice, tendril like flames crawling over her form like a forest fire devoured a lively forest.

The telepathy, of course, was a trick she had acquired along the way of their journey. It allowed for much less hurt, and one hardly had to speak their emotions or hearts' desires with it. Oh, how she would love to find love, but today was hardly the day. All they wanted was Ailia...but she would never show to her sister this twinge of desire and hope that her heart continued to hold. All she wanted was someone! Someone to love.

Surely, her beautiful, perfect sister would find someone. But her - no. Flammis couldn't think of one stag that would settle for a mutant like her, not hellion and not horse - but one of the stars. Of course, they both were, but Ailia exemplified the beauty and grace of stars, while she exemplified the fury and brightness that they could also possess.

He had been wandering for some time, searching for others for his herd. Two were already in his herd, but he knew that there were others out there who could be as well. The palomino body, nothing special, moved towards the two faes that he spotted. Though one was insanely beautiful and the other not so, it was not beauty that called for him to come closer. No, it was something else. The need to know them, and about them.

The nodded his head towards the other stallion though as he stopped in front of the group. "Greetings all," Delmarva said. If they told him to leave, well, he would without challenge.

The large yet gentle stag tossed his head softly in a gesture of greeting, the large clumpsy hooves squaring to a halt matching his wide-set shoulders.

Carefully selecting the words he needed to use in reply, he rolled his tounge to form the unfamailiar words.

"It is a pleasure to meet you both," he said warmly and somewhat proudly, eyes widening with supirse as a mind touched his own, whispering words of greeting.

"Of course, Flammis....and Ailia," he whispered her name like a soft lullaby that would forever taunt his mind.

His eyes darted to the new stallion, before quickly returning to Ailia, unable to look away for long.

OOC: sorry its so short...typing left handed!

Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN)   Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) EmptySat Feb 04 2012, 13:59

Profound was the neutrality that this being possessed, his easy responses to the choleric nature of the earth. Yet, he was not servile to the darkness of the night nor the maliciousness of others. Being a constant skeptic, she found that most stags she met were felicitous to convert to components of their parochial personalities. With that belief, this meeting was becoming more of a wake-up call to the ivory splashed fae than a meeting. Ailia decided she would allow them to continue to intrigue her.

Although more relationships with her peers could be utilitarian, they were not a necessity - even though they were appreciated to their full extent. Even in their falsehood, they were quite pleasant. Unlike some, she did not use her friends for favors in a patron-clintel system. They were in parity to her, with no boundaries to thick for their friendship. Why couldn't there be more like them?

Rather joyous was the fae, and with fervor, she grinned; it was difficult to tell why they were gathered around her though. Because of her beauty or because they saw someone that reminded them of themselves? All intentions would be revealed before she made her decision, and she would find out who both of them really were before she made any final decisions. Ailia would make sure her friend was in good hands too, and with a reassuring glance in her direction, she proceeded to carry on the conversation. After all, dear Flammis had never really been one for words. Well, neither was she, really, when the handsome bay stag stood before her.

To leave now would deem her a masochist, for they rather intrigued her - especially the stag...what did he say his name was? Ah - Brogan. Ailia vacillated slightly as she tried to pick up the conversation, mollifying her nerves easily. "Do you like the stars? The way the sky burns brightly at night...when the aurora borealias brighten up the world with their majesty?" she asked, a playful aura surrounded her, lilac shining upon her pelt as they began to rise in the skies above her. Smiling, she knew they followed her wherever she may go.

For some the stars and sky were nothing but a vacuous thing, and not many were grateful for the light of the sky. And to not think the stars were beautiful was to criticize her and what she did...

A moment more passed before a second stag entered the small area, his pelt golden like the sun. Easily, kindly, she nodded to him in greeting, urging her friend with her mind to speak with him. Ailia sensed that he was a kind stag with nothing to offer but his good heart.

-

Life was a mystery, but it was one that could tear your heart in two. It could make things so complicated and make life not even worth living; that was what had proved true to her over the years. Every single one of the stags she had met had focused on the things like outside appearance, not even giving her a second look as they attempted to woo her companion. Truthfully, and she knew this in her mind that - if a stag was not willing to accept one's friends, they should not be a lover of one. But no one could possibly accept her, not Brogan. Not the golden stag that had come to the clearing.

It wasn't even worth trying to talk to him. He would shove her away in disgust, she knew. There was nothing left for stags these days to focus on except for the horrid features of her appearance. It wasn't that she was terribly ugly, but she scared so many stallions. Only the dark hearted, evil beasts ever took interest in her. And when they found that she was of the light side, they shoved her away in disgust too!

How could she possibly be what she was not?

Then, she received Ailia's tip. No. No, absolutely not. I am not talking to him, for he will only turn me away like the others she said. It was so true. Ailia kept telling her that this one was different though, that she sensed he had a good heart and could love anyone. Why would her friend say that she had the biggest heart she had ever seen if it wasn't true?"

"Hello," she heard herself say, vocals beautiful and clear on the night's air. "I am Flammis Odio," she said, bracing herself for him to turn away from her. His golden form was quite handsome, but what of what was inside? Was it beautiful too?

The tinker stallion shifted his heavy set mass, the thicky woven tresses falling over his eyes as he peered between the strands in an attempt to see the beauty before him. It wasn't often he wished his locks shorter, but now was one of those moments he longed to see every part of her, not the covered angles from his fringe.

And from the corner of his deep, warm orbs he chuckled softly at her playful grin, feeling the thudding of his heart quicken and his mass shift in an attempt to get closer to her side.

The half blinded orbs flickered to the sky at his words, taking in the twinkling forms of the great world above and nodded easily in reply.
"Aye," he murmuered with his thick accent "such majestic views cannot be known by the earthly...and you...have to think if a greater being does truely exsist..."

He carried off with a slight nod of his noble head, unsure what else to say to his seemingly flawless fae who seemed much smaller then his lumbering frame.

"Ailia..." he started with a gruff clearing of his vocals "tell me, have you ever met the..daoine..oh, what do you call them..." he lasped into silence before chuckling and starting again "ah yes, you call them vumans."

OOC: vumans is his fail of saying humans xD

Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN)   Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) EmptyWed Feb 08 2012, 11:01

For a moment, she would have liked to believe that it was fate that led her here. This little excursion had turned out to be quite a bit more than she had guessed. Perhaps, it had been her undying fidelity to the belief that true love existed, and you just had to be willing to travel to the end of the earth to find it. It was still a belief that she clung to today, in hopes to find that one, that one that could make her feel significance in her existence.

Light gales tickled at her nostrils, swaying her wispy tresses about, her countenance pleasant as the stars shone above them. Even though her expression said she was comfortable speaking with him, her heart was thudding in her chest a million miles an hour. Could he hear it - did he notice how nervous she was?

As he answered, a small grin lit up her features, seemingly illuminated with their own form of starlight. "I am of them," she whispered softly, looking up to the twinkling hues of light green and pink that had formed. "Descendants of the goddess, Celestials - we are called. We had connections with things above, and therefore, we know of life," she said, hoping that her words were not too difficult for him to decode. It was difficult to explain what she was in any other way than the current. "I know I am different....but I choose to believe that difference is what makes us who we are," she said lightly, dark orbs peering into his. For a moment she was serious, and it was in those serious moments that one could learn the most about another.

He was trying to ask her something, his thick irish accent drawing her in as he attempted to speak of some new topic. "Vumans?" she asked, completely and utterly confused for a moment. Then, she realized that he must be speaking of the two-leggeds that had captivated their kind for generations with their dangers to the freedom of their kind. There were so many splendorous things you could learn from watching them though. "Ah, you must mean humans," she said again, brightening as she noticed what he was speaking of.

"I have not met them, but I have seen them. They are a kind to be pitied, yet they are beautiful, as all life. Some are cruel but not all. Some of them are one with nature, just as we are," she said, hoping he could understand. "What is your experience with them?" she asked, wondering where the topic had sparked from.

The eyes widened from under the shaggy locks, the depths studying her at her odd words. It wasn't that he didn't believe her, but he was a stag that relied on his common knowledge, and never had he heard of a star being a mare, a beautiful mare at that. Though, he may of mis-understood her words from the different languages.

"Dochreidte!," he whispered, scanning from her the tip of her nose to the bottom of her hooves "you are...a...star? You are very beautiful," he mumbled in his husky, accented tones.

"Yes yes," he bobbed his head in agreement "the vumans! I grew up with the...humans, in Ireland." he seemed to struggle to say the word, but grinned once he finished seeming delighted with his overall attempt.

Silken laces laid neatly upon her shoulder, deep violet pools settling upon him as she saw him suddenly light up with joy. Not quite sure what that was about, she smiled to him slightly, a bit confused at his antics. At first, he had looked rather ecstatic to see her, but now, he was jumping with joy as he looked at her interested countenance.

When he spoke, she noticed there had been a slight misunderstanding! Oh, heavens no, she was not an actual star. "No, Brogan," she cooed his calling softly, gently as she took a small step in his direction, her focus intent on his bouncing curls. "I am not an actual star," she smiled a bit, not in a menacing way but explaining who she truly was. "We are Celestial Horses, gifted with the knowledge of the stars. We are blessed by the heavens with certain extensions...you may call them. I certainly would not say they were powers of my own but a gift from above," she said, nodding.

Glad she had guessed what he was trying to say, she nodded as well. "What - what were they like?" she asked, curiosity filling her eyes like a child. Ailia had always wondered about the mysterious creatures and their ways. It had never been clear to her what they were actually like...

The harks pricked at her soothing tones, bright brown eyes seeming to glow from under the dark locks, shaking his head as if to remove them from blocking his sight. But a shiver raced down his spine as she cooed his name in her forgein tones.

He seemed to be mouthing the words along with her, tasting them on his tongue as if to try and have a better understanding. So she was not a star? Instead she was one of these...Celestial beings?

"You..you are not a star?" he said, confusion plain on his handsome features "but a...Celestial?"

He shook his head out, long mane flying in all directions. This was all to much for the irish stallion, but he did his best to understand the beautiful fae.

"The vumans?" he repeated and nodded "they are all very...different. Some nice, some mean...much like us I would say."
He chuckled a booming laugh, the sound seeming to echo from his thick chest.

"I ran, ran and ran...a horse should be free no? I did like some vumans, but not others. I wanted to be free. So I ran and ran...and now I am here."

He stomped his hoof as if to proof the point with a smile, seemingly proud once more he was able to jumble all the twisting words together.

OOC: sorry Phantom!

Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN)   Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) EmptyFri Nov 16 2012, 19:29

Just like a star sometimes fell from the sky that it had lived in so long, the need to change came about for various reasons to them as well. When those reasons befell in their minds, at times, they were as reluctant to leave as they were to stay. Some of the same, too, had occurred in her case. Who truly was a creature that had no purpose except to stand in the heavens and supposedly look beautiful?

In a way, she had to agree with him, yet she felt that he didn't quite understand the concept yet. Chuckling quietly to herself and looking with beaming orbs to him, she simply smiled. "The stars are within us, yet we are not them. We simply follow the goddess of the stars, so fair and true to the nature of the world. We only campaign for peace and quiet on this earth, yet she seems to defy us around every corner. With the humans...and of our kind," she mused freely, solemnly. It was saddening at times to view the earth as it was, and had been for many decades.

It seemed as if he was more objective about the creatures with two legs than most were, as he spoke not kindly nor badly about them. None of them could be judged, for there were those of them that had committed atrocities against their fellow creature and those that would not hurt a soul. Perhaps, most species were like that. Some good, and some bad. Some kind, and some evil. Understandable to say the least.

"Yes, we all deserve freedom. No one should face oppression," she said softly to him. "Well...I am very glad you are here..." she mused, looking to him quietly.

The stallion smiled as she spoke to him. He was not concerned by all those scars on her body. No, he only thought they made her look more pretty to him as it was. “Greetings to you, Flammis Odio, I am Delmarva, Beta of Silver Forest.”

He thought for a moment. “What is someone as beautiful as you doing out here with only another mare for company? I was quite surprised to see both of you out here and thought I had better come and see what was going on.”

It was not something mares expected, but he did it anyway. It made him happy to talk to others.

PostSubject: Re: Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN)   Two Halves of a Whole(OPEN) EmptySun Feb 10 2013, 17:35

For the longest time, the only sort of attention she had received was that of negative attention; individuals saying how evil she looked. Some had even attempted to rescue her pallid companion from her 'horrid grasps' since it was obvious she was being 'tortured'. At that, she would try to roll her eyes and look away but sometimes it really ate at her since she actually cared about her companion. It had been years that they had traveled together and not once had their been a foul word between them - not that she had ever said much. Unlike her her looks might suggest, she was more of the quiet shy type on the inside.

"It is good to speak to someone, Delmarva. I have not spoken to anyone but Ailia for so long," she said, voice lacking luster as she spoke to him. Inside, her nerves were completely bound within her, bouncing from side to side as she struggled to continue the conversation. So many times had she heard the term 'butterflies in your stomach' - they felt more like wasps to her.

Odio felt like running away and never speaking to anyone ever again when he asked her his question. It made her think of the past and the ridicule she had faced as a younger fae trying to grow up in a world that seemed to hate her. "Ummm," she pondered nervously. "It is because of the way I look. I look like an evil warrior fae who relishes in killing others, but the truth is that I've never killed a soul," she said quietly, wishing she could die on the inside. She was dying on the inside, knowing that no stag would speak to her because of what she was. Why couldn't they just forget that and see who she was?

"I'm not beautiful by the way, Delmarva," she said, putting her head down slightly so that she didn't look him in the eyes when he admitted himself that she was the ugliest creature that walked the earth. Just like her companion, she had stars, but the only ones who spoke to her cared about the scars.

“Then you are very much mistaken, Flammis,” he replied. “If it is something I was once told by my dam, it is that what is beautiful on the outside is not always the same on the inside. And the same goes for those who most would deem as ugly by appearance could be the most beautiful of creatures on the inside.” He hoped she understood. “I would never call you ugly or anything like that, for that would be cruel, and that is not how my dam brought me up to be.”

He paused thinking. “There are many bad things in this world, but I can tell you speak the truth. Though to others your appearance would make others think you are, I do not believe you are a killer in anyway. I would guess the only thing you’ve ever killed is the grass you eat to survive. Just like i.”

In all the wars that happened he had never been one for the fighting, unless it was too close to his homeland.
