Rock The Night (Phantom/Open) Empty
PostSubject: Rock The Night (Phantom/Open)   Rock The Night (Phantom/Open) EmptySat Feb 04 2012, 20:12

Five wolves stalked through the night, their grey and tan fur slicked back against their thin sides, revealing their ribs. They looked at each other every so often, their gazes shooting down the line. In the front, a female wolf, her fur though damp still abnormally light, reflecting the moon's rays. On her right was a male wolf, the only one in the group. Every so often, he appeared to merge in with the trees and the grasses around them, thanks to his patch-work fur. Behind him, and slightly to his right, a grey she-wolf, with bright yellow eyes walked, her ears pricked up.

To the left, another grey she-wolf, this one with yellowish ears, loped along, and on her left, following her, was the final she-wolf, her brown and sandy fur in stark contrast with the dark background.

At an almost imperceptible signal from the lead she-wolf, they slowed to a halt, standing in a slightly spread out group. The brute looked to the she-wolf, and cocked his head, his pink tongue hanging out as he panted. "Could be enemy territory, you know."

"Doesn't smell like it though, Nam." replied the alpha she-wolf, Anin.

"She's right," added in Sina and Fina, the two wolves on the left. "It's seems more like a meeting place."

"Like the one that old-timer told us about way back," said Felstar in agreement, her yellow eyes slipping from one tree to the next, always alert.

"The claiming place, he called it though. Could be a good way of finding a new home," stated Nam, warming up to the idea.

"Then let's announce our presence." suggested Felstar. At a nod from Anin, the five wolves lifted their heads, and let out a haunting chorus of howls, their noses almost touching the low branches of the willow tree they stood under.

After a few moments, Sina laid down, her big ears flicking this way and that as she rested her head on her paws. Beside her, Fina followed her lead, turning the other way to provide cover from any attacks from the rear. She wondered, tiredly, if she'd be able to find a suitable mate in these new lands. Probably not, but still, it was a nice thought to go to sleep with.

Meanwhile, the other three, Anin, Nam, and Felstar, stood like statues, their wet fur slowly drying in the chilly spring wind.

Rock The Night (Phantom/Open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rock The Night (Phantom/Open)   Rock The Night (Phantom/Open) EmptySat Feb 04 2012, 21:31

.:Raven:.

A giggle here. A deranged screech there. Silent padding of claws, digging into the earth as ivories sunk into flesh were the only audible sounds the creature of pure night made other than the cacophony of screeches. Orbs of violet insanity probed around, flashing in and out of focus as he strode on, unevenly, in search of something only he could have. Something twisted, where you hate yet you get what you want, what you deserve. Oh, but he hardly understood what he thought, for his thoughts were always twisted and didn't make sense to even him.

Not quite as demented as his midnight contributor of genetics, but as his mother had said, the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. Giggling manically, he pounced from the shadows which he blended in with so well, into the shimmering liquid stuff. What was it? Raven couldn't seem to remember, but it sure tasted good on his tongue. Tongue lolling from his lips, he lapped it up as he splashed, a horrid screech coming from him parted lips.

A scent. Pleasant. How nice is was to smell another wolf in the distance. She was his, and his only.

Raven sprung from the water, dripping from his soaked bodice as he jutted his muscular form from the water. Claws dug into the muddied ground as he neared. Closer. Closer. Until he arrived nose to nose with her. Darker was she than the others that stood in the row, and he chose her because of this. "It's mine. All mine now. So back off," his muscular form stood between them and the female now. With his saber-tooth ivories, he pushed her away. "Raven is alpha," he howled, anger bubbling beneath the surface of his pelt.

For the first year of his life, he had been relatively normal. Cruel and cunning, wishing to kill everything that crossed his path. But normal. And then everything changed. It was like an earthquake, so sudden, so lethal.

.:Polaris :.
Liquid dripped from the ebony pelt as keep turquoise orbs scanned the terrain, taking in all its beauty. Light cascaded upon the bodice of night, with bits of tainted water hued splatters dotted upon his skull and pillars. Graceful was the day, with her sunlight and moonlight in perfect proportion, resting in the sky as they rose together - wolves by day, hunters by night. The constant rotation of the earth they stood on, moved them on in spirit, too, as they proceeded through life's daily obstacles, overcoming fears and fulfilling destinies. Polaris believed that he was doing exactly that, today.

Perfect was the river that flowed with life, over stones and fish and minerals that sunk to the bottom. What a shame it was that the poison that made its dwelling in his claws would kill it all, kill wolves and horses alike. Polaris felt as if he was a monster, who could not contain his power and would indefinitely hurt someone. Even his mother had called him low-life because of who he was...who his father was. The day that Soul Render died would be the happiest day of his life, and if he could inflict pain on the monster that had forced so many innocent vixens, he would. None under his watch would be hurt - all would be treated equally.

An odd scent piqued his senses though, and he began to travel in its direction. It wasn't everyday that you saw five wolves - an entire pack, traveling together to the roaring river. Quietly, he made his way to them, smiling politely as he reached the group. Bowing easily with gratitude for them allowing him in their presence, he introduced himself. "Hello, there. I am Polaris, son of Aquarius and Soul Render, though I do not take pride in my father's reputation," he announced, bowing to them with ease.

.:Tomiko:.
It had been long since she had seen the lively bustling of the coastal region, and in truth, she had longed for the freedom she was blessed with. Every day, she had thought of how quiet and calm life would be without everyone around her constantly - but in truth...she missed them a bit. Brothers and sisters, a mother and father to watch over her. You were all on your own when you left home and decided to fend for yourself, hunt for yourself - solitude was lonely...

In the time she had roamed the lands, far and wide, she decided that family was important and that she needed someone as a companion. It had been a long time since she had even seen another wolf, let alone talked to one - so this was all very odd for her. It was even odder when she smelt five independent wolves roaming over the river land at one time. Not even that many lived in her pack at home! Deciding she would take advantage of this lucky day, she trotted in the direction of the scent. Two wolves, males, were already waiting to claim a female. There was one male in the pack of five, and honestly, he was the one she found herself most interested in.

Tomiko made her way to him, treading lightly as she kept her gray orbs fixed on him. Her gray pelt shone under the sunlight as she halted in the small clearing. "Greetings," she bowed, coming back up quickly to meet his gaze with one of her own, playful in nature. "I am Tomiko, daughter of Clearwater and Ghost. Niece of Modet," she said. "Who are you?" she asked, orbs filled with wonder.

Felstar

The dark grey female yipped in surprise as the giggling brute pushed her away from the others. Then her ears laid back and she growled a bit at him, before jumping into the river, and swimming quickly across, the dark water pulling her downstream. If the strange brute wanted her, he'd have to catch her first.

She landed in the dark sand on the other side, and gave a short bark to her siblings, so they'd know she'd come back to find them later. Of course, most of them already knew she would, but troublesome brutes had to be dealt with alone, for the sake of the others in the recon pack. Now, it was the grey's turn to deal with one, and for a moment, she looked with relish on the opportunity...

Anin

The she-wolf considered Polaris, her brown eyes running up and down his black form. "Who's Soul Render?" she asked, wondering what would make this intriguing wolf ashamed of his own pack. "I'm Anin, by the way, from the Arabian Quake pack. Female Alpha scout, Recon Pack division 1." she said, a note of pride in her voice. That disappeared when she noticed her older brother go over to a she-wolf who had approached him.

Nam

The patch-work colored wolf was observing Anin with scarcely hidden amusement as she spoke with Polaris, the black wolf. He knew already that she would hardly be able to refuse him. That much was obvious to him, since she brought out her full title on the poor brute. He didn't have much to gloat over for long though, because his attention was taken by a she-wolf... No, not a she-wolf, surely, he corrected himself. More likely a fallen goddess or star, for her fur shone in the moonlight, a grey like the storm clouds in the desert, her eyes like the stars themselves.

She spoke to him, and for a moment, he was too mesmerized to respond. He found his tongue again though, and tried to keep his mind from falling to pieces in utter awe of her. "Hello," he said, hardly daring to trust his mouth to form the words. "I am Nam, of the desert pack, the Arabian Quake. My siblings and I are scouting ahead of the main pack, looking for a new home. Our old hunting grounds were destroyed, along with many of the pack members, including our alphas."

The white wolf named for mirages slimmed through the glades searching. It was then she spotted a group and padded to them, not saying anything for a moment.

.:Raven:.

Splish splash, splash. Massive paws cascaded across the terrain like a bird taking flight. Claws flopped onto the ground, leaving marks across it tat looked like the footprints of some small creature with many pillars. Boa extended like a crane, he knew that he could outrun her and would have her soon enough. Ebony pelt ruffled as he heard her splash into the river and laughed to himself, for somewhere in his sane mind, he knew that few that entered the river survived.

Charging like a bullet, all muscles propelling him to victory, he leaped over a small portion of the river downstream a bit. As he sped up, he saw far in the distance her petite deep gray form jetting across the hilly terrain. With all the strength he had, he pushed himself harder, tongue lolling from his mouth to catch her. As he neared, the hunger grew in his orbs - victory was soon. It was needed. Wanted. "Mine!" he screeched, orbs filled with glee as he reached out one pillar in perfect precision to grasp at her haunches. Soon he was running directly parallel to her, and with one simple motion, they were both on the ground.

"Escape is futile," he growled. Once, there was a time when intelligence reigned over insanity in his mind. A time where hurting things kept him sane, kept him mentally active....or something. Maybe it was the longing to be like his father so much and meet him that finally made him snap, made him refute to his natural brutality. "Raven," he grunted, acknowledging his name. What was next, another chase?

.:Polaris:.

As the brute scanned the pack, he looked over each female, considering her before he reached the beautiful features of the alpha. Sandy pelt caressed her spindly form, gray partial around her orbs. Brown orbs, warm and sweet laid in her skull. Why, she was the most magnificent creature he had ever laid his turquoise orbs on. The most wonderful thing the earth had to offer! Suddenly, he craved to know her, and stepped before her, a slightly nervous smile upon his features.

"You know not of Soul Render?" he asked, considering that perhaps she was new to the lands as a whole. Polaris certainly had never seen her around before now. "He is a terrible wolf who takes pride in killing others....he is a poison wolf. Unfortunately, I am too..." he sighed, hoping she would not hold it against him.

He listened to her title, and it surprised him. Even though she seemed like an authority figure, it had never occurred to him that she was actually a leader of a pack. "I am not familiar with that pack, but I am very impressed by your title," he said, wagging his tail slightly at the hopeful compliment.

.:Tomiko:.

The male she initially spotted was quite handsome, with a mostly golden bodice that was flecked with gray and ivory. Hardly she had seen a pelt with so many hues - only heard of one pup that had from her uncle. Suddenly, she felt drawn to him as her orbs of light brown met his of deepest coal hue. They were addicting just to stare into. Tomiko had to mollify her soul to keep herself from going up to him and telling him outright how perfect he seemed.

For a moment, she stood completely tense, awaiting his reply. What if he thought too little of her to speak to her? What if she wasn't good enough? With the tiniest of smile, she listened to his response as he finally did, relishing in his vocals. Sorrow crept into her heart as she thought of a pack being destroyed - her father had been destroyed...

"I am sorry to hear of your pack. I know how it feels...for my father died before I was born. Our pack was never quite normal.." she said, looking to the ground and then back to him.

Felstar

The grey she-wolf growled back at Raven, snapping at his muzzle, though she made no attempt to actually bite him... Not yet, anyhow. "Escape may be futile... For you." she replied, her sun-hued orbs shining with annoyance. "I'm Felstar, of the Arabian Quake." she added in, as he spoke his own name. Raven... Fitting for such a brute, Thought the young wolf, looking at his ebony fur, his deep purple eyes. He reminded her of Kova, and for a moment, her gaze softened. But only for a moment. The next moment, she swatted a paw at him, trying to hit his eye.

Anin

She smiled a bit, the flicked her head over her shoulder a bit, indicating the place where Fina and Sina were lying, their ears pricked, staying on the lookout, and where Nam was speaking with the lone she-wolf. "This is the pack. We're siblings though, merely an advance group of the main." she said, her chocolate eyes returning to his bright, turquoise eyes, their beautiful color seeming to draw her into their depths. As he spoke of his father though, Anin pricked her ears up more.

"Sounds like he'll be trouble for the pack, if he's leading another pack... Our own main pack comes from across the deserts, far to the west of here. An earthquake destroyed our old home, and killed off most of us. We've been searching for another hunting ground." for a moment, she was quiet, focused on this idea, and wondering who in the pack would likely try fighting this Soul Render... But then the moment was past, and she smiled a bit. "I bet being a poison wolf makes you a great hunter," she said, her black rimmed ears flicking slightly with barely controlled interest.

Nam

The sandy-hued wolf pricked his ears at her response, his tail wagging slightly. Her voice was beautiful, like the sands of his home as they were picked up by the breeze, like the rustle of leaves in the trees, and the splash of water in an oasis. Now he was sure; this she-wolf was certainly a creature apart, one who he would never be worthy of coming to know in full, but merely be blessed to catch a glimpse of her, as of a shimmering of water on a heat-stricken day...

"How is your pack different?" the black-eyed wolf dared himself to ask of her. "My own pack is somewhat odd, but only due to the number of wolves that are a part of it... Even then, it's more like a grouping of smaller packs that are allies..."

Sarabi looked up at the others, sighing as she removed the mirage she had been sitting in for a bit. Seeing Tomiko she smiled. But she also knew she ought to vanish rather quickly, she did not like any of the other wolves that were there at the moment.

She called back her illusions and slipped away.

.:Raven:.

They ran in these never-ending circles, where the mind plays the same game as the pillars do and the tongue twists and turns to form phrases to bring in the kill. Of course, he could not bother himself with making thoughts agree to for them to be congruent. Rather, he would feel his own world, and it, for once was filled with the endless giggles of pain and killing. It was the only time that he felt empowered, like the ruler of the earth - bulging muscles tearing the flesh from bone. A hunter. A survivor.

"Nothing is futile about me," he snarled, jumping slightly from the force he had put into his words. Saliva foamed at the edges of his lips as he frothed with anger, hate for her even suggesting such a thing. He did not understand contexts of words, just that they were possibly insulting to him and his brute force. "I care not for names," he giggled, deep orbs rolling in his skull for a moment before he turned his gaze back to her. He felt giddy, like he had captured the princess and would hold her captive for many years to come. She was his. Whether she liked or not, she was his and no one could change that - not without death arriving at their pillars.

As she swatted at him lightly, he roared punting her paw back to her defensively. A grimace remained upon his features, carelessness splattered across them as he dug his claws into the dirt.

.:Polaris:.

Neither could the stars nor moon nor not even the breath that escaped from his muzzle were as gorgeous as what stood before him now. Her sandy pelt seemed to glow under the warm air, the gales rushing about her lucidly. There was no reason she should speak to the likes of him, no reason she should glance in his direction. After all, he was only a half-breed, scarred by the errors of ones before him. Chocolate eyes warmly stared into his own of turquoise, gentle in nature.

"Here, there is strength in numbers," he replied, with a simple nod of his skull. If many roamed together in a pack, there was hardly any danger to be anticipated. Either way, his family, with their reputation wasn't bothered at all; the difficulties of being misjudged were always present, leading to distress and heartache. "He won't be any trouble to us, until I challenge him in the war. I don't appreciate what he has done to the lands...hurting innocents," he said with a sigh, shaking his skull in dismay and shrugging it off. Blood would not be shed for a while, if he could help it.

At her next question, he smiled a bit, hardly containing his glee that she actually wanted to know more about him. It had to be that she wasn't from around here. Finally, he had met someone who ran not at his name or his power; one who wanted to know him for him, not for his father. It was exciting and new not to be looked down upon, and honestly, he could have gotten used to it. But he couldn't. The world was set in their ways, and they could not see the truth beyond the lies of generations upon generations. "It is okay," he said, always having thought of his power as bittersweet. "It is useful for hunting, but it hurts the earth. I can feel that she screams when I release my venom," he replied. "I only use it when I must," he concluded, awaiting her response.

.:Tomiko:.

It felt odd speaking to someone new about the way things had been for so long - broken. Even her dear gray-flecked mother wept tears from her emerald orbs, relishing in the days when light shone upon them. There had been an endless night where the world was clouded in deepest misery. The mentioning of happiness was scorned, yet it was so difficult for one such as her to come to terms with always being deprived of happiness. In even the darkest hour, she found that light had shone upon her.

Hesitating at his question slightly, she looked back up, her gray orbs meeting his. "My father died when I was young. Ghost was his name, and I never had a real father. My uncle acted fatherly to us, yet it wasn't exactly the same thing..." she said, peering around to the others solemnly. "I also come from a large pack. It seems as if I have many relatives, being a niece of the warrior Modet," she smiled, thinking of the glory her uncle had brought to their world.

Rock The Night (Phantom/Open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rock The Night (Phantom/Open)   Rock The Night (Phantom/Open) EmptySun Mar 18 2012, 11:37

Felstar

She pricked up her ears slightly as he replied to her, her black-tipped tail twitching slightly with interest. "If you don't care for names, then why did you tell me yours, Raven?" she asked, a slight smile on her face. She was beginning to like this strange brute, despite - or perhaps because of - his attitude. She didn't take her eyes off of him, though she was slightly less defensive. He sounded strong to her, something she missed feeling. Ever since she was sent on ahead, she'd been more careful, always defensive, always feeling the worry of a possible attack... The black wolf in front of her though, was unafraid, and she felt drawn to such power.

Anin

She wagged her tail, swishing the long plume back and forth, almost without thinking as he spoke, her heart thrumming as he spoke of them both, as if it were already a settled matter that they would be together. His soft, low voice enticed her, tickling at her ears, full of unseen possibilities. She could have listened to him speaking for all her life without growing tired of it, she felt. After all, to be able to even hear one word from his mouth was bliss of a kind she had never known before.

She sighed slightly in sympathy as he told her of the effects of his poison. "It is good then, that you don't use it without cause. After all, what is easy is rarely free of pain to another... I doubt that many others would be able to stand firm against such a temptation as you have." she knew she might not have, at one point, and her dark eyes shone with respect, and more, for the dark-hued wolf in front of her. Surely, here was a leader, unlike any in her pack, one that deserved only the most perfect of things.

As she thought it, her ears dropped slightly, and another sigh, that of longing, nearly escaped her mouth. After all, such a wolf would deserve far more than her own meager company... What could she give to one such as him that would make her stand a chance against another fae. For surely, there were others more beautiful, more powerful, more capable of helping him than she was...

Nam

He nodded slightly, thinking of his own dead relations, his own hurt parent. A the name Ghost though, he started slightly, looking at Tomiko with a different sort of interest than his face had worn a moment before. "I've heard of Ghost before... My grandfather met him once, in his wanderings. He was spoken highly of among the desert wolves. It's a terrible thing, that he's gone. Many in my pack had hopes of meeting him somehow." The sorrow he felt at the news, while genuine, was eclipsed entirely by the allure of the beautiful daughter Ghost had left behind, and once again, his dark eyes were bright with a hope, however silly it was, of knowing more fully the creature with whom he conversed.

Rock The Night (Phantom/Open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Rock The Night (Phantom/Open)   Rock The Night (Phantom/Open) EmptySat Jun 30 2012, 19:52

.:Raven:.

The hatred of weakness coursed through his very core, so perhaps this was the reason that he even took the time to speak with her. "I only care for names of the strong," he replied gruffly, shaking his fur easily. This one before him seemed fairly intelligent, a quality that he savored in the ones he met, for how could one conquer if they had no mind? Obviously, she was the exception to the ones he had met so far that could not lead if their life depended on it. They were putrid and needed to be exterminated. So did his enemies, such as Crepusculum and Draighean. Sure, they were strong, yet they were a clear threat to his greatness. "Where do you come from?" he asked. He usually didn't ask much, but perhaps this was the exception situation.

.:Polaris:.

For once, that easy going attitude was hidden - was this nervousness? Well, she certainly was beautiful enough to make an angel nervous just to stare in her perfectly clear orbs. Her bodice was art to him, carved perfectly by nature and her rigorous lifestyle. And her voice, why, it was of the goddesses! So soft in sound and sweet to his harks. Polaris felt dumbstruck when he was around her, in a good way. It was easy to see that he had fallen head over heels for this beautiful wolf! If only she would tell him yes.

"I feel no temptation unless I am in danger. I have no will to harm others. I only want to help the world, for I am not like my father," he said, proud of the fact that he stood independent of his bloodlines and their nature. Soul Render had been a horrible creature, yet Polaris did not wish anything bad to him, like many others did. After all, he was still a creature and still had time to change his old ways.

Anin was just so perfect, that there was no way that she would want to be his mate...or anything more than friends. He stood there, hoping. He knew that if he didn't make a move, it might not happen. First, he would converse with her a bit more, but he had his heart set on having her as his mate. Of course, he wouldn't force her to do anything that she didn't want to do. He would simply ask, for he wished to be polite to her even in asking her to accompany him on his journeys through life.

.:Tomiko:.

Tomiko felt a sheer happiness come over her at the mentioning of her father...and someone who knew him. How exciting it was to see another of her kind, someone who knew her father. "I never got to meet him..." she said softly, harks laid against her skull in a docile manner. It was horrid to even think of her dead father, but many seemed to want to talk of his greatness. And great he was. It was a rather touchy topic though, and she would rather get off of it.

"So, what kind of lands do you like?" she asked. It didn't matter what he answered, for all the answers he could answer would be correct. Tomiko loved all the lands, just like her uncle Modet did when he was alive. "I don't know if you know this....but Modet has died as well now. He was old," she said. They were not that close, but she thought she would deliver the news.

Felstar

She growled low in her throat at his response to her question, her ears flicking back against her skull. "Do I not seem strong to you? I've come from a land that destroyed itself, and any who were lacking strength, speed, and cunning." She backed off slightly though, making sure she was facing him at all times, in case he chose to attack. The tentative situation made her shiver with delight... And more than a little fear, too. She let him take in her words before answering his question, and giving herself time to think over what she'd tell him.

Finally, she spoke again. "I came from a far off place... A desert, a harsh land, especially with a pack as large as the one I was in. There was a... Disaster. It destroyed our hunting grounds, it wiped out more than half of my pack. We left to find new hunting land." she said, her yellow eyes locked on Raven's purple orbs, as a small part of her wondered how they could look so soft, when they belonged to such a harsh brute. It bothered her, slightly, but she brushed it off. It was a useless sentiment anyhow.

(Not done, I'll finish later...)
